Just updated and i've noticed that Lawnchair search is still broken, but uninstalling updates to Android System Intelligence fixes it. Other than this bug this rom is great, good work npv12!

No updates, it's the one that came with the rom. I didn't install lawnchair from their telegram channel because I assumed it is the same version (12 alpha 4)
latest build using dev version

Been using the rom for about two to three weeks and so far the experience (excluding the fingerprint) is pretty good.

The fingerprint scanner is just unusable for me, adding a fingerprint works fine but unlocking fails 99% of the time. Was reading the previous comments and replies trying to figure something out but Im afraid I got nowhere, my screen doesn't flash bright only the fingerprint scanner, tried on both dark and light mode on both high and low brightness (idk why I thought it might help), DC dimming on/off, 60/90hz, I did a fresh install, factory reset, tried without installing magisk, adding and removing fingerprints, nothing helped Im afraid.

I did encounter this exact behavior with LineageOS so I thought it might be something with AOSP builds, but DotOS (which Im assuming is AOSP based) worked fine, DerpFest as well. I also had the latest OOS build before wiping and installing.

Currently Im running the latest version of the rom and the issue is still there, if there anything I can try!

Edit: So right after I wrote all of that I kept testing more and I believe I found that the fingerprint scanner will succeed if I only cover half of it, like physically covering half the fingerprint circle.
When adding the fingerprints I made sure to position my finger to cover the full fingerprint circle/symbol but when unlocking I have the position my finger lower covering only the bottom half (tried top half, doesn't work) for it to work, could it be just a ui issue? like scaling or something?

Im totally lost at this point!

It might not be helpful but I know that the one plus 7 pro and the 7t pro have fingerprint scanners in slightly different locations.

Quick question, the ones who use WhatsApp, have you try the 'bubbles" notification option? I want to try it (works great with Google messages) but for some reason it doesn't seem to "activate"...notifications come as usual on top...is it the app? I use beta ver.

Is NFC working on this ROM? Google pay shows safetynet passes but I can't make any payment.

can someone tell me the steps to install this
After some difficult searching I found this handy-dandy post on the first page of this thread, if you can imagine such a thing...

    INSTRUCTIONS

    First time installation:

Download the fastboot zip, It ends with -img.zip.
    Boot to bootloader
    fastboot update --skip-reboot --skip-secondary zipname
    Now reboot to recovery
    Factory reset in the recovery
    Reboot system

I think that's more of an issue with the FOD itself.
It's not been the car with other ROMs I've used, nor stock. But it's not a huge issue.
I just tried with my Pixel 2 and Nintendo Switch chargers that I know they use PD and they seem to work, it even says fast charging with the Pixel charger and it still charges with the Switch charger, just not as fast.
That's odd. I've tried a bunch of PD chargers and none work. I might have done something to mess up the kernel or something...

    Yes

Just wanted to say thanks for this ROM. This is the first Android 12 one I flashed and what a smooth experience it is!
The only (super minor) bugs I could find are that the volume panel is on the right side despite the buttons being on the left of the device and that the status bar is off-center, shifted to the left.
But these are hardly showstoppers so thanks again!

EDIT: After further testing it seems that the LiveDisplay color profile sometimes returns to Standard after rebooting.
And despite the complaints I've seen in this thread I have no issues with the FOD, in fact it definitely feels faster than on Android 11 Pixel Experience.
Auto brightness is near unusable, but that's more of an issue with the device itself, rather than of this particular ROM.
Oh and audio latency is crazy low on this ROM, I must say you've done an outstanding job on that front as well.

EDIT 2: Enable Edge Light on AOD (under Krypton Settings) can't be toggled if the AOD is only enabled while charging.

EDIT 3: Found an edge case. After opening the smart home controls from the lock screen, then using the FOD to unlock the phone to actually toggle a light, the unlocked screen stays on the oversaturated calibration usually only seen while using the FOD.

Beautifully stable ROM. Never had a crash, smooth AF, best battery life I've ever had in a ROM. Google Pay works, Google Location Timeline works. Only issues:

Fingerprint reader works super fast and accurately, even when using 1Password (which has always been problematic with other ROMs). BUT it doesn't work in direct sunlight.

USB PD charging doesn't work. Warp and Slow and Quick charge still work, but charging through a USB PD adaptor doesn't work at all. Let me know if there's anything I can do to help troubleshoot this.

KOSP is a small project based off AOSP and we intend to improve upon AOSP to provide a stable and better alternative to OEM roms with additional features.

    Features

There are some cool features, see for yourself :D

Truth is I'm just lazy to write a long list of features and we intend to focus on the stability rather than adding a ton of features.

    Gapps is included!

    Note:

    hotdog has dropped sdcardfs
We are enforcing and safety net passes out of the box

    What's broken?

    You tell me :)

    Bug reporting:

DO NOT report bugs if you're running a custom kernel or you installed Xposed
Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
Do not approach us without any logs for reporting bugs
If it is a random reboot, grab everything from /sys/fs/pstore. (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. Please also do not report known issues.

Special-thanks to alk3p for improving FOD.

I have been using this ROM for around 24 hours now. Here are my thoughts:
-Very smooth and the animations are wonderful.
-Battery life is decent. ~3.5 hours SOT (first cycle so take the numbers with a grain of salt).
-FOD is excellent and even works when the screen is off

    Minor Issues:
    1) No OP Camera (If you do add it please add the 7tpro version instead of the 7pro)
    2) FOD size is of the 7 pro. Should be larger.
    3) Some minor glitches - Notification shade background sometimes dissapears. The icons on the right of the status bar are not alligned properly and have a small gap.

Thanks for building this for hotdog. Really appreciate it! @npv12
