During installation phase I get the error of "android installer has stopped working" and after the error message installation gets into some kind of infinite cycle.Any recommendation ?
Make sure you have downloaded the correct rom zip, our device codename is raphael check properly the file you downloaded it should have raphael in file name of zip

Really good job on the ROM. Very impressed and happy with the performance.

Idk how, but Voltage is giving me twice the battery life when compared to Evo13 or Pex13.

Some feature requests for future versions:

1. The back tap gesture
2. Always show keyboard when opening the app drawer
3. Rounded corners for widgets on the homescreen
4. Maybe the refresh rate toggle in the notifications panel?

Thanks for the work, looking forward to future versions :)
1 back tap gesture required to add pixel proprietary stub prebuilts in the rom, we at voltage os are vanilla roms and for that pixel stub to work it need gapps prebuilt rom so this feature is no go
2 nope not gonna happen
3 maybe in future no promises
4 Raphael screen is 60 hz. Please dont come here for over clock its not good for display in long run, i will never add this in my rom you can flash any other rom for such feature but its not going to happen here.

While connecting to wifi network, the advanced options had possibility to change random mac to device mac. This isn't the case for VolageOS 2.1.

Can't see this option anywhere else. Was it removed intentionally?

Ok so it had come to my notice that recovery was not able to decrypt in vos 2.2
so we had picked fbe wrapped key commits fixes in vos source
and the fbe1 recovery used old implementation for fbe wrapped key
so it was unable to decrypt

Special thanks to @Pranav Talmale for making new recovery with fbe wrapped key support & now the recovery is able to decrypt on ext4 as well as f2fs partitions, thanks to @rainvn-cb for testing and proving screenshots

The OP has being updated and recovery links for latest ofox fbe1 are fixed, those who want encryption in vos 2.2 download recovery from HERE

Hi, thank you for the ROM. I am really happy so far, but NFC does not seem to work. The quick settings tile is unresponsive and the connection preferences NFC settings page is empty. Is this a known issue and are there any solutions?

    @Pranav Temkar What would be dirty flash procedure if i use efe for first install?

    Do i need to flash efe every time? Or format data, since it's mentioned in OP for encrypted storage. Pls help in clearing the confusion!!
    For encrypted dirty flash...
    Wipe dalvik+cache
    Flash rom and efe

    This is a great ROM, so far very stable, fast and with all the features I need.
    I do however have two gripes with it. One is a (IMO) major bug, the other a feature I'd love to see.

    I have noticed, multiple times, that the battery drains significantly faster after a couple days of uptime. Today it appeared again, which makes it roughly 6 days.
    According to the systems battery stats, the culprit is Android System which will drain more and more battery.
    I have changed the battery optimisation of the app to "restricted" but to no avail.

    Please look into that, rebooting after less than a week works, but it's not that convenient for a daily driver and everyone that doesnt know about this.

    Second, a feature wish: The Mi 9T Pro supports fast charging with 27 Watts, 3A at 9V to be more precisely. With this ROM however, the charging speed is limited to rougly 14W, with 3A and 4.2V. If I am not mistaken, this falls into the kernels responsibility. I wanted to note this here since I'm talking about the battery anyway and have not yet looked into the kernel and who builds it.

    Lastly, does anyone else have trouble with increasing battery use by Android system after a couple days of uptime?
    It could be just me, but I am at a loss of an explanation.

    The other messages in the log did not repeat in such an aggressive fashion and seem normal, I still have the full logs here if you want me to look for something specific.

    Installation Guide
    It's mandatory to be on the latest miui a11 official firmware of your region
    Clean flash recommended
    Always make a nandroid backup, be safe.
    ROM uses O.S.S. vendor

    * For those who don't want encryption, no need to flash any dfe zip as rom is already decrypted by default so please dont flash any dfe zips
    * If users were encrypted on their previous roms they need to FORMAT DATA in recovery first
    its FORMAT and not WIPE understand the difference, if you dont format data the rom will bootloop as you have previous rom encryption.

    - Clean flash recommended
    - Use the latest official orange fox recovery from here
    - Format data if coming from encrypted rom
    - Wipe all the following
    * Dalvik / ART Cache
    * Cache
    * System
    * Vendor
    * Data
    - Flash latest miui a11 firmware for your specific region
    * Global | China | Europe Firmware
    * India Firmware
    - Flash VoltageOS + Gapps
    - Do not reboot in between flash everything at once, also no need to flash any dfe zip the rom is already decrypted by default.
    - Wipe Dalvik / ART Cache, Cache & Data
    - Reboot

    * For those who want to use rom with encryption
    This rom comes with FBE V1 encryption so those who have come from fbe v2 roms need to compulsory FORMAT DATA else it will bootloop due to fbe version mismatch.
    As decryption of internal storage is now fixed on a12 you will need different recovery to flash the rom and only this recovery can encrypt/decrypt rom, other recovery wont work.
    Special thanks to @Pranav Talmale for making a12 decryption work with FBE v1 all credits goes to him for the recovery

    - Clean flash recommended
    - Use Ofox recovey with a13 decryption fixed from here
    - Format data
    - Wipe all the following
    * Dalvik / ART Cache
    * Cache
    * System
    * Vendor
    * Data
    - Flash latest miui a11 firmware for your specific region
    * Global | China | Europe Firmware
    * India Firmware
    - Flash VoltageOS + Gapps + EFE
    - Do not reboot in between flash all zip at once
    - Wipe Dalvik / ART Cache, Cache & Data
    - Reboot
