HELLKAT for the Galaxy S II (Hercules)!!!!


HellKat is CM11 based with a completely redone beautiful Holo Red theme. You'll probably notice a difference between HellKat and CM nightlies (or the virgin AOSP builds) due to the LINARO 4.8 toolchain we use to compile the ROMs. HellKat was first created by DerTeufel during Jellybean and was called Hellybean. We now support several devices and with a new build server we will be able to bring this beautiful ROM to even more devices. If you have another device supported by CM you more than likely can build HellKat for your other device. We have a nice build script so that the hardest part of building HellKat is setting up Ubuntu and an Android developing environement. Checkout our sources at https://github.com/Hellybean/android

Video recording/playback broken in 1080p, use 720p.

Installation instructions
1. Download ROM
2. Reboot into recovery, You must use a SELinux compatible recovery.
3. Please back up your ROM before you begin!
4. Wipe System, Data, Cache, Dalvik
5. Flash the ROM
6. Flash 4.4 Gapps
7. Reboot
8. Let it sit a while.
9. Enjoy HellKat

I haven't been paying much attention to the scene the past couple months; examples of SELinux-compatible recoveries? Last I read, TWRP 2.3+ builds were buggy piles.

My guess would be the gapps your using. I have been using the same ones for over a month no issues. I had gapps linked in OP but then get to many questions about newer Gapps and other packages. So I stopped recommending them but look here. I use gapps-kk-20131111-artcompatible.zip without issues.

Sms/mms/hangouts not work,wipe dalvik and same issue/camcorder record fine but video play full color lines,im not use camcorder for now,but i use sms frecuently,otherwise its a great kitkat rom!

Look 1 post above your last post. And video is fine here other than the slow start. Playback on phone is just as clear no color lines for me.

Sms working fine here , using TWRP , did a superwipe , dirty flash since the first build . The latest build is a little laggy on the home button press and hold , it dosent always show all the open apps , you have to wait 30 secs. Or so and press it again to get it to show all the open apps .
