Team HellKat Proudly Presents

HELLKAT for the Google Nexus 4 (mako)!!!!

HellKat is CM11 based with a completely redone beautiful Holo Red theme. You'll probably notice a difference between HellKat and CM nightlies (or the virgin AOSP builds) due to the LINARO 4.8 toolchain we use to compile the ROMs. HellKat was first created by DerTeufel during Jellybean and was called Hellybean. We now support several devices and with a new build server we will be able to bring this beautiful ROM to even more devices. If you have another device supported by CM you more than likely can build HellKat for your other device. We have a nice build script so that the hardest part of building HellKat is setting up Ubuntu and an Android developing environement. Checkout our sources at https://github.com/Hellybean/android

Installation instructions
1. Download ROM
2. Reboot into recovery, You must use a SELinux compatible recovery.
3. Please back up your ROM before you begin!
4. Wipe System, Data, Cache, Dalvik
5. Flash the ROM
6. Flash 4.4 Gapps
7. Reboot
8. Let it sit a while.
9. Enjoy HellKat

I just got a Nexus 4 today YAY!!!!!!! So much faster than my Hercules

Ok after few time downloads (wifi drops ?) finally dwnl and flash....

...and.... Man what did u do to my device???

It's HELL fast....using now with hells core. Will raport tommorow how's battery.

Everything you want to see is on our list of things to add still :good: Are you using ART or Dalvik?
It is a blazing fast ROM. But that's not for me to say on this device. I just got my mako like 40hours ago and it had the stock ROM. I compiled a CM11-Linaro ran it for a day. Then compiled our ROM (HellKat) and flashed. I have not tried any other nexus 4 ROM's yet. Kernel will be changed from stock CM in the next week or so to ours, I am excited about my New Old device

Scared I am going to break it lmao, I ordered a Seidio Convert case for it off Amazon looks like a nice rugged case, Hoping it lets my orb still charge I have read mixed reviews on that.

I'm using dalvic. In our device i can't see the diference. Trust me your ROM is realy fast. I have n4 from first day sales. I also have few other devices and even my HTC one is not that fast . Big thx for lot of hard work ?

I usually avoid CM ROMS but this is very fast with some really cool features. It's running well so far. Thanks for your work and thanks for sharing.

Maybe its the Placebo effect of being compiled and optimized with Linaro

This ROM is freaking BLAZING fast! I've read it before on ROM's and only noticed a marginal difference but this is like a new phone, WOW. Excellent job! It's running great on ART!

Hello all. Downloaded Hellkat, normally on Vanir, loving the red theme. Rom is fast seems stable, using HellsCore CM kernel. So good so far. Looks excellent.

wondering if you could give some tips to rebuild the ROM from source as you published.
I tried your source but I only got CM 11 Linaro.. thought if I could compile this from source I'll get bleeding edge feature from your git

Have not had time to play with the n4 Kernels that are out yet. @Cl3Kener is going to make a version of Diablo for the N4 when he gets some free time. We only release it in the ROM not as a stand alone.

@Cl3Kener is the one that changed all the PNG's and edited all the XML's to change all the system and app color's, I doubt there will be a theme other than in this ROM.
