I use 'Open Camera' and no problem.
Open camera has worked for me for weeks on AICP 7.0-7.1..
Now it won't load and crashes on video start.
I'll keep working on my setup to make sure it's not me...

I just loaded Open Camera and it works great for me so far. I'll monitor it for a while and see what happens.
Video recording also works for me with open camera. Motorola camera works fine too. The only one not working is moto camera and it's only been noticed on the last two aicp builds (12/16 and 12/17).

I believe that I discovered a bug/feature. I'm using 10/17 build. Waiving my hand over the device only produces the ambient display screen if the device is locked. Ambient display doesn't seem to work if the device is only sleeping. I've tried all manner of setting combinations, but this one thing always remains. It seems like the ambient display works if the phone is locked.

To duplicate: Enable the ambient display, set the screen sleep to 1 min or less, but set the lock time to 1 minute after sleep. Also set the phone so that the power button locks the phone. Now, allow the display to timeout (1 min in my example), then try to wake the screen with ambient display gestures. The phone will not wake up. Wait another minute for the phone to lock. Waiving a hand over the phone brings up the ambient display screen. Now, swipe the screen to get to the lock screen, then swipe to get the home screen, then turn the display off with the power button. Gesturing over the screen will now bring up the ambient display, and you can swipe the display to get to the home screen.

I'm pretty sure this isn't what's intended, as it limits the usefulness of the ambient display. I saved a log, but cannot seem to upload it here.

I don't use or have moto camera installed.
Oh I just thought you did, well might as well flash the Moto g4 camera so you can record videos lol

Have you modified your build.prop?

Working on the 12/17 nightly and I really liked the ROM. Does 4G == LTE?
Yes. And LTE-advanced. Some company over seas are testing 5g no joke

I think he is talking about the 4G icon showed in the statusbar instead of LTE, I guess it's just a png change to have the other one.

I fixed my video recording problem. As I suspected it was me, not the rom.
I did a clean flash without flashing Arise Viper sound (ARISE+Sound+Systems+Deuteronomy+2.4+alpha+8-8.zip) now all my camera apps are back to normal and video records without crashing.
Note: I have not had the other camera related problems reported above. My issue was just video recording.

Is turbo charging working for anyone? I'm getting max 2 mAh. I get about 3-3.5k mAh on turbo.

The Turbopower 25 wall charger is only rated at 2.85A maximum output when a battery is mostly discharged, and drops appropriately when the battery gets close to fully charged.

But to answer your initial question, yes, I'm seeing the same rapid charging times as I did on stock. The charging smarts are in the charger and the internal battery circuits, not the phone itself.

Umm I used an app called 'Ampere' while I was on my stock rom and it was showing 3600 mAh and now it doesn't cross 2k.
My battery is currently at 40% so I don't think the charge must have throttled.

Don't know anything about that app, but I agree that charging current should not be throttled below 2.85A at 40% charge. The time to charge is probably your best metric. If the app was telling you 3.6A before, it's probably not telling you the truth now.

I've spent the last two days on stock, but the last four months before that on aicp. It appears to me that stock turbo charges faster. Stock gets hotter too.

Sorry nothing analytical, just observation. Happily back on aicp now.

Doze doesn't seem to work. When i woke up in the morning, i found my phone very hot and the battery is at 3%. Last night, it was 80%-ish. I'm using the 12/17 build.

    AICP
    Android Ice Cold Project

AICP is known by everyone as Ice Cold Project that started on Desire HD and since then evolved into a mature ROM with the BEST community you can find!!!

Until Lollipop, Rom has always been AOKP based. Unfortunately, since AOKP either stopped development or will make a comeback later this year, we changed our base to CM when it comes to hardware, drivers and some features.

If there are any bugs, either we will sort them or CM team if it concerns their modifications. This rom isn't CM supported so no need to report errors or bugs to them!!

ROMS should contain everything you need to enjoy Marshmallow. You are not required to install any Add Ons, simply download the latest ROM, gapps, flash it, and go!
You are STRONGLY recommended to fully wipe your device before flashing, and if possible avoid restoring system apps and system data with Titanium Backup - these can cause stability issues that are very hard to debug. If you believe you know what you're doing - then fine, go ahead, but please don't complain if you experience strange behavior.

    How to flash:

    • Don't do it if you don't know it
    • Full wipe, flash rom, flash gapps, boot
    • ROM has gapps persistance in between dirty flashes
    • To update to M, you must flash the M modem and perform a full wipe

    KERNEL:
Kernel in this rom follows CM source with custom additions:
    • support for primary MultiROM ROM (includes kexec hardboot support)
    • Double Tap to Wake
    • Intelliactive governor available

    PREREQUISITE FOR OTA:
To be able to flash over OTA app, TWRP recovery is needed.
You can still use CWM and OTA app, but only to download zip file and flash it manually from within recovery. Zip gets saved under AICP_ota folder on your internal SDcard.

If you want to contribute to the AICP or wanna see what is being worked on/merge feel free to visit our gerrit, link is at the bottom!!!

@Hashbang173: can we presume the AICP build development has stopped for good? Are you focusing totally on Pure Nexus project or you'll try to handle both (time permitting of course)? Thanks for all you're doing!
Still going to support AICP, just want to give an AOSP based alternative since it seems to run a lot smoother on this device. Some CM stuff causes lag.
