Just asking to be sure, this is with Nougat modem, right? Not the usual MM

Edit: in the following posts it is said that the January builds are MM too. I'm on Nougat modem so I can't flash this. I wish there was a NM build of AICP...

Sorry, I misunderstood. That is the last Nougat build of AICP. It runs on the MM modem.

I have the Moto X Pure XT1575 its rooted it has magisk and the version of AICP is Android Version 7.1.2 nightly 01/03/2018 the problem I have is the phone dialer at first it works fine have no problems but now a few days later I pressed it and the error "Phone has Stopped'. I even did a clean flash it will work but later on the message appears. Is there a way to fix it or does anyone have a older build of the ROM from December that runs fine with no problems?

Try flashing with something other than open gapps...like mindthegapps.

Damn, just got into another bootloop after my phone died and I recharged I get the endless slight vibration at the AICP logo issue, and the phone never turns on.

Only way to fix this from my experience is to wipe/restore from a backup. (I've tried wiping cache, uninstalling magisk, booting into 'safe' mode..)

Does anybody else ever run into this or have any other ideas..?

Any word on oreo builds for this rom?:(

As far as I've seen, the only Oreo ROM in semi-development for the Moto X Pure is the Ground Zero Roms GZOSP. I believe the camera doesn't work properly on it, it is being worked on but it may need a ton of tweaks to get it implemented fully.

Sadly I've ruled out most possibilities of this phone getting anything beyond the Nougat builds we have now. The older a phone gets (especially one with as many Development nuances as the X Pure) the less likely it is to be developed/maintained for.

But even older devices like nexus 4 has got los 15.1:confused:.How come a 6-7 year old phone get oreo 8.1?:(

For every ROM there's a developer (or team of developers) behind it building/maintaining it. Maybe the Firmware/Hardware/Kernel for the Nexus 4 is easier to develop for (which seems plausible considering the Camera alone is problematic on the one Oreo ROM we do have [see quote below], and the fact that Moto put their own Noise Cancellation in place instead of using the built-in Qualcomm, etc...).

antariksh via the GZOSP Oreo Thread
Moto went out on to implement an unconventional 21mp rear camera. We currently have camera parameters issues, which needs tons of modifications to the Qualcomm implementation.
It's just continuous trial-error of adding and removing dummy values to fill in the gap. (Hashbang seem to still working on this) and also with absolutely no references anywhere else.
We are experiencing same issue on the Moto X Force having the same rear camera.

Maybe the Nexus 4 is still much more popular in the phone/dev community so there are more people working on custom ROM's. Maybe people are still holding onto their Nexus 4's or gave them to Dev's as test devices and people are ditching their Moto X Pure's and never looking back.

The answer to your question could be a multitude of different reasons, but a phone's age alone is only a small piece of the pie.

    AICP
    Android Ice Cold Project

AICP is known by everyone as Ice Cold Project that started on Desire HD and since then evolved into a mature ROM with the BEST community you can find!!!

Until Lollipop, Rom has always been AOKP based. Unfortunately, since AOKP either stopped development or will make a comeback later this year, we changed our base to CM when it comes to hardware, drivers and some features.

If there are any bugs, either we will sort them or CM team if it concerns their modifications. This rom isn't CM supported so no need to report errors or bugs to them!!

ROMS should contain everything you need to enjoy Marshmallow. You are not required to install any Add Ons, simply download the latest ROM, gapps, flash it, and go!
You are STRONGLY recommended to fully wipe your device before flashing, and if possible avoid restoring system apps and system data with Titanium Backup - these can cause stability issues that are very hard to debug. If you believe you know what you're doing - then fine, go ahead, but please don't complain if you experience strange behavior.

    How to flash:

    • Don't do it if you don't know it
    • Full wipe, flash rom, flash gapps, boot
    • ROM has gapps persistance in between dirty flashes
    • To update to M, you must flash the M modem and perform a full wipe

    KERNEL:
Kernel in this rom follows CM source with custom additions:
    • support for primary MultiROM ROM (includes kexec hardboot support)
    • Double Tap to Wake
    • Intelliactive governor available

    PREREQUISITE FOR OTA:
To be able to flash over OTA app, TWRP recovery is needed.
You can still use CWM and OTA app, but only to download zip file and flash it manually from within recovery. Zip gets saved under AICP_ota folder on your internal SDcard.

If you want to contribute to the AICP or wanna see what is being worked on/merge feel free to visit our gerrit, link is at the bottom!!!

@Hashbang173: can we presume the AICP build development has stopped for good? Are you focusing totally on Pure Nexus project or you'll try to handle both (time permitting of course)? Thanks for all you're doing!
Still going to support AICP, just want to give an AOSP based alternative since it seems to run a lot smoother on this device. Some CM stuff causes lag.
