I've done a custom build myself at 27th of August (no changes to nougat since there, actually no changes since march (or january?) AFAIR, last version is 5.8.5.

My custom build has the following differences:
- Added classic QS GPS toggle (like in my oreo build)
- Replaced boot animation
- Backport transparent Bluetooth icon when disconnected

I can upload if you want.

by the way.. I flashed RR Oreo yesterday and I find it very good ROM. if it will meet my expectations I won't go back to N.

No problem. Unfortunately I have some wifi issues under Oreo (speed drops sometimes to a few kilobits, disconnects and then only reboot fixes, strange thing is, other users won't complain about this so probably this only affects me), and currently Android Auto doesn't work at all (it disconnects on Nougat, currently I'm trying to build a fresh marshmallow build, because that's what this phone had officially).

Another thing: I had problems with mobile data on firmware OxygenOS. don't know why, sometimes for a couple of while transfer speed was dropping a lot. mayby to a few kbps. the range indicator didn't indicated the network disconnected but sometimes I even couldn't open any page.. "check out your network connection" in web browser..
I do not have same problem yesterday and today with Oreo. I'm working last days at the same place, even in the same room.

Now I gave OPX to my brother and I'm using Motorola E 2 2015 LTE surnia with LOS 14.1 Official nightlies and the problem with mobile data transfer drops does not exist.
So I'm not sure if it is a problem of a carrier. By the way. I've made a backup of LOS 14.1 and testing Pie, witch was updated yesterday !

Have fun with Your OPX. I change phones very often and it is possible I will be using OPX in the future again!

Yesterday I've updated my unofficial build on my github. Nothing special, I've just backported the screen off animations from Oreo build. In case someone is interested, feel free to dirty update my old build. Please note that you can't dirty update from the official build, so this is only for those who do a clean install, or who already has my previous 5.8.5 build.

can you add gps commits from yumemichi oreo to your 5.8.5 build? oreo gps is much better than LOS 15.1.
can you tell me if remote nfs mounts are visible in file explorer app in 5.8.5 build?
does it have stock oos cam? manual mode working?
microG support?

Hello,

I used to run an old version of RR on my OPX, an i have to say i was really happy. A couple of months ago, i wanted to update my phone so i decided to do a full wipe and to change the ROM. What a mistake.
The new one i have is really awfull. Network drop, a huge variety of bugs, random reboot, crashes, etc etc...

Anyway, i want to comeback and use RR again, as my first experience was really good with it.

I have a few question before to install it: my current ROM is based on OREO. I can't play .mp2 files and a bunch of other ones. I read that it's a thing, that under Oreo or Nougat you cannot read .mp2 files. Which is really annoying for me.
So is this the same with this ROM since it's running through Nougat ?

Is there any strong issues ?

Not sure if there's anyone still using Nougat on this device xD
I have updated RR nougat with security patches up to Oct 2020.
There are few modifications, however. Since I also maintain RR nougat for OP3 I have not excluded the extras from those builds here.
