Sorry I don't, I haven't encounter this type of problem before maybe your CPU is overheating make sure you reapplied your heatsink properly after checking it's model or if the motherboard is outside the case don't touch it you're probably shorting the contacts on your motherboard tried it before and sure enough it did freeze.
Thanks for answering, Yes, I put heatsink cream between the processor and the heatsink. and an extractor to the tv box. But it is still the same. The funny thing is that when it is on and hot it lasts 1 day on without freezing. The problem is when turning on and the board is cold. I use antistatic gloves when handling the board

tried this rom, it actually works, mine have different chips but the main things like the SoC and the WiFi chipset are the same.

its the same board revision.

for the rom, it actually works. not until you install other GSM related apps (eg update the Google Play Service) will cause other apps to crash that heavily rely on it. So if you want thsi to run stable, just dont install any app that relies on GMS and dont install Google play services.

the stock rom that is installed with this very cheap (sub 10dollar) ATV box, its is ****ed up, the RAM capacity is wrong (only 1GB actual) and 64GB eMMC (8GB actual) and everything you run on it crashes and you always have that pop-up that google play store is crashing and also the google play services as well.

I got fed up on it and basically just install RetrOrangePi use the Sunveil R69 Image and install it on that small 8GB emmc storage and bam, its basically a very functional media player / retro console emulator. Though the wifi is not functional but you can just add a USB WiFi on it and your done (or use the ethernet port) adding bluetooth support on it is also very easy (I just have bluetooth dongle and that works without messing with it). This custom armbian image also have Kodi on it so you can use it to play videos/audios on it.

Hey @remlei are you willing to share more about the flashing process of this ROM?

Ok some steps from me
  1. Download the image from here http://www.retrorangepi.org/images/Sunvell-r69/ (I used the small one)
  2. Use "Balena Etcher" to flash the image file to an SD card.
  3. Plug the SD card in MXQ and plug the powercord.
  4. The system boots in OrangePi Retro and asks to resize the internal storage after reboot...Screen goes black after a while and nothing happens.

Hi, I was wondering if there is any way to get this box. To increase the cache memory by using there used to be an app. That could be used. I can't remember the name though. Ebooster or something like that.

Thanks for the help

The Box will boot, but WiFi not working
-Go and activate developer options and enable USB debugging and USB0 device mode

-Connect Phoenix suite to box using the USB to USB cable and press recovery and the box will boot into recovery mode

This ROM will still boot without the following WiFi modules but Wi-Fi function will not work, Hope you will find the right one soon though GL on your next Google search ;)

Tips:
1. If you've noticed the display output resolution is not 4K
Go to Settings>Display>HDMI output mode>4K_30Hz (Refresh rate is limited to 30Hz/FPS due to hardware limitations)

2. If you accidentally deleted Netflix app or you want to update YouTube just go to GetApps app (No need to go to some dodgy websites just go to the built in rooted store to get the latest updates)

3. It's really hard to find a custom ROM that is fully working for this Box but you can actually customize it on your own like the attached image below :D

4. A driver is required for Phoenix Suit to detect the box when plugged in please download a working driver before doing so, if the box is detected you can continue the steps without downloading the driver.

Does it have to be an SD card? I want to do it with a flash drive.

Hola, es un gusto saludarte. Solucionaste el problema? Tengo el mismo problema con una MXQ 4k 5G. Aún no encuentro solución.

Bro, a pleasure to greet you anyway, I was able to use the tv box again, but in a different way, installing the system not on the device's NAND but on an SD card, it booted up fine and that's how I've been using it... if you are going to try it, get an SD if possible A10 since the ones with lower speeds work but it takes longer, then when you go to boot it in the phoenix card, do not format it in "product" but where it says "startup"
for now it is a solution since I could not format the NAND at least not in a way without having to desolder it and put it on a plate and format it individually which I do not handle very well ........ .... a greeting I hope it helps you for the moment it is the only thing that helped me

Thank you for responding. I had it with original firmware, but I didn't like it and decided to change it, and I put this one. I no longer know exactly what I did what I wanted was to activate Google services. Well the thing is that it no longer gave me an image, and I wanted to flash again with PhoenixSuit and it was no longer possible, it stayed at 7% and did not advance or it reached 63% and the error message came out. I tried for sd card and neither. In the sd card after using PhoenixCard, when checking with windows explorer I see it empty as if I had not recorded anything. I'm thinking of formatting my PC and doing the process with PhoenixSuit or PhoenixCard.

--------------------

Some extra news. I found and flashed this one https://mega.nz/folder/y4ZSkbDL#5KLc5vKUWOyBAMmJXfGQZw from this video

    .

The TV box is alive again
    2
Just tested this firmware on my box with exact same board ID
    Board ID: QL2039 - Q44_V4.0_20200602

The box is bricked, only the red light light on and no blue light when I press power on.
Press the reset once and blue popped up for 2 sec and then again red.

Really no hard feelings here, this box is a trash and I got "cheated" by Banggood selling this as a 4+64 Android 10 device.
It is a modified 7.1 version that looked like 10, so I wanted to get rid of it because lagged or crashed randomly.

@Klein61967 if you have any suggestion happy to hear it. Box still accepts flashing.
