I know hehe, I'm running this ROM since before it was official. I'm asking because others have created problems when they try to flash Gapps.
First of all, thanks for the great work! I have a Redmi 5 with stock MIUI 9 and I was looking for a custom rom. This one really looks nice and I am looking forward to try it.
I would like to ask if someone could post a video that shows how long is the "Little FP delay (Goodix)"? Are there hopes that it will be fixed in future releases?

One is when the screen is on. So if you press the power button and the screen comes on and then put your finger on the fingerprint reader there is a small delay, which is very small and almost what the FPC sensor is. This delay is so small that no one complains about it.
The second one is the one that people talk about the most. This is when the screen is off and you try to unlock the phone with the fingerprint reader. Normally you would do this and as soon as the reader detects the proper fingerprint the phone would unlock and the screen turn on. With all of these ROMs the delay consists of you doing this and the screen taking a little while (a second) to come on, and that's the delay. Sometimes there is also the problem of the phone taking longer than one second to come on, but this behavior is not common, but it does happen.

It is because the official manufacturer (Xiaomi) had yet to release some things publicly because this phone (Rosy) only got up to Nougat (so far). So on the Nougat ROMs (like Lineage 14) there is no fingerprint delay or anything like that, because those developers were working with the same things that Xiaomi was working.
With Oreo and Pie ROMs or images there are some minor bugs as you saw (some fingerprint sensors, IR; hotspot, etc.), and the devs make their best effort to solve such problems with the knowledge they have. Sometimes they fix it completely (like IR blaster or hotspot) and other times they fix as best they can (like fingerprint for Goodix).
But the good news is that Rosy is getting Oreo soon enough so Xiaomi is now testing things officially and some ROMs already have the fingerprint issue fixed entirely, so no more delay of any type. You can try those roms here on xda or go to some official sites. It's only a matter of time before PE official applies those same fixes (AEX has already). so stay tuned for future ROM updates.

Hey i am a redmi 5 user and i am running your pixel experience on my device. Firstly the rom is fabulous, it works smooth leaving that finger print bugs that are present, everything else is great.
I have a few bugs that i thought should be told about
1. Call rejection hangs when u use the reply button while an incomeing call
2. Sometimes WhatsApp hangs while sending a photo
Some features that i and other users might like to see
1. Port google cam- as the rom is pixel experience itself so if we can somehow port a stable google cam version to the next rom update it will be just great
2. Face unlock- it's quiet a asked for feature. I have seen it work on linage 15.1 unofficial rom or the Havoc rom based on pie. Bring this feature to our pixel experience rom will not only boost user experience but will also attract other users to switch to this rom
