The amount of RAM used is very high.

I have been experiencing this issue since I flashed the last update. This makes the phone lag a lot and sometimes it's barely usable.

What's the solution to this mess?Screenshot_EX_Kernel_Manager_20180615-201019.jpegScreenshot_Settings_20180615-200935.jpeg

The more RAM is used the better you should be happy. Android can manage memory perfectly it will free up if needed no need to close apps manually or keep checking free RAM available it's pointless.

I don't think you understand what I'm trying to say.
I'm a software developer and yes I know Android can manage apps and RAM properly.

The problem IS that it is not able to handle the RAM properly. Only 300mb of free RAM doesn't count as good RAM management. The phone is barely usable at times and I mentioned that in my post very clearly, so tell me how exactly is this a good RAM management?

I don't check RAM 90% of the time but I was experiencing unusual lags and the first thing you do is check the RAM when you experience major lag.

So please, make yourself useful and offer solutions and NOT impart your limited knowledge to me.

Thanks.

Yeah you are right it's not able to handle RAM properly, meanwhile you are the only one reporting such problem out of 70.000 users, makes sense. :good:

Is this how you typically answer questions and offer solutions around here? Laughable.

Even if I'm the only one experiencing this problem does that mean there's nothing wrong with my phone? Does that neutralize this issue? NO.

You didn't even understand my question and came up with answers like "don't check for RAM or manually close apps" which were totally irrelevant to what my issue was. So don't act like a turd and be more helpful next time and instead of bashing and shutting down users for the issues that they experience.

My doubt wasn't directed at this ROM nor was I in any sense trying report this as a issue, I posted my question here as i'm using this ROM and it felt like the right thing to do as I thought someone would have the solution.

You don't bother me, try to be less of a jerk next time.
Good day mate [emoji106] :)

What's the solution to this mess?

You can use battery usage stats to get to know which apps are consuming more battery.
You can use developer settings to know and fix which unnecessary apps including WhatsApp autostart just after boot.
You can use developer settings to know and fix which useless apps run in background all the time just for no reason.
You can use developer options to set above discussed kind of apps as inactive.
You can disable gcm receivers and activities of various apps to prevent them from using more memory, from getting automatically started, from showing ads.

If above solutions don't work. Clean Flash.

Isn't there any way to enable only white LED while using torch on lineage OS 15.1?

I don't get it, why people always complain about 2 LEDs in torch. It has two pros: more light and more natural tint. So, where's the problem? A few milliamps bigger power consumption when the torch is on? People who don't like 2 LEDs torch: How many hours a day you've got your torches turned on?

Am I crazy or does double tap to wake not work at all? Also, does it take a lot of battery life? I searched this thread and there's only 1 post about it that doesn't tell me much.

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 8 (oreo), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review.

And here arrives update after a long span but for sure, update wont disappoint any of you :p

    Changelog

    • Updated to 8.1
    • Updated to oreo tissot Blobs
    • Rebased kernel to support new (goodix touch , ov camera, and displays)
    • Fixed omnivison camera pink tint and crash in bright light photos
    • Add TextClassifier Selection models
    • Implemented full treble :cowboy:

As treble has been implemented there are few mandatory changes before you flash this build.

Since a new partition was required for full treble we converted an unused cust partition into vendor which is almost 830mb in size, No we are not re-partitioning your device or anything else which may hardbrick your device :)

phhusson was kind enough to let me try his unreleased gsi (global system image) and test treble on my mido and it worked perfectly :p attaching some screenshots you can keep record of treble 8.1 rom at https://forum.xda-developers.com/project-treble/trebleenabled-device-development/experimental-phh-treble-t3709659

Trees will be updated shortly so you can taste treble on your other favorite roms :)

As usual link of rom is updated in op enjoy

    • Gsi should work pretty well now

gsi (generic system image) should be stable now tho there are few downsides gsi is pure aosp so your favorite custom features might not be available and since its aosp, caf decryption wont work either along with volte (ims) other then that gsi should be pretty stable you can download one at https://forum.xda-developers.com/project-treble/trebleenabled-device-development/experimental-phh-treble-t3709659

It seems lineage-15.1 bandwagon is about to ship so you can expect official lineage within next 2 weeks :)
