LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 9 (pie), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

@abhishek987 Don't hesitate for asking this question to you, why IR sensor is not working in every ROM? we are seeing this problem in all oreo ROMS as well.

But, I Appreciate your great work, I know people are asking too much about LOS16 in our telegram group.

The cause of IR sensors not working should have been obvious by now. Wanna guess? Yeah Xiaomi proprietary sources. Even custom kernels that's working in MIUI(i.e KAT and extreme revolt kernel) have broken IR sensors.

So yeah IR sensor fix is at the mercy of Xiaomi. For all I know, it will never get fixed. It's up to the POCO team to prove me wrong.
