Firmware Vendor: MIUI 11.0.4.0 or 11.0.6.0, which one is best for LOS 17.1 official for battery? And how is the Official 17.1 build in terms of battery and performance compared to 16.0 ???

Is there a separate thread for 17.1?
If not, I'd like to tell that the device is slightly heating up while charging on los 17.1 April 2 update.

So I did a clean install of lineage os along with firmware first with the opengapps nano package and again without any open gapps and in both cases,
1. All the videos are choppy with no audio.
2. Face unlock option isn't available.
Check this group, it has PE rom Legendary build it has Face Unlock and it gives better battery backup

Hi all, for first thanks to all the developers that are working on LOS.

Yesterday I switched from LOS 16 to LOS 17.1, and I experienced some lack on performances and features, regarding:

- boot time: increased from 6 seconds to 30 (I'm not talking about the first boot)
- trebuchet grid customizations: on the home settings page is no more possible to set the grid dimension (my general setting was something like 6x9, and now I cannot change it).

Is there something that I can do for that?

TY

Wrong thread. This is only for LOS 16 for 17.1 go to that thread.

My phone on LOS 17.1 boot in a few seconds far from 30 seconds. You can customize the trebuchet grid (3x3, 4x5 or 5x5) but not to 6x9. You could switch launcher to solve that though. Something like Nova Launcher?

To fix the boot time you could try clearing the caches or just do a clean flash.

If you have LOS17.1 installed, why don't you ask the question in the corresponding thread?

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 9 (pie), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review.

    Time for update :D

    Changelog
    • March security patch
    • Fixed boot issues with latest firmware and vendor
    • Performance improvements
    • Touch improvements
    • Lineage Upstream

As you all are aware official builds are rolling out but I will continue to provide unofficial builds till I get to merge outstanding features (per-app thermal and dirac mainly) which diverge this build from official. In op you will be able to find both builds so it will be up-to you to choose a build that suits you I will try to update this build twice a month enjoy :p
