There's been no weekly build ever since, even before the hacking.
Builds are unaffected - builds have been paused due to an unrelated issue since April 30th.
https://status.lineageos.org/issues/5eae596b4a0ebd114676545f
The build servers have some infrastructure related issues right now, a lot of builds are outdated, as the build servers weren't syncing changes correctly starting the ~24th, additionally there was a privileged app change put in that did not have the corresponding permission, and resulted in a boot loop on the 27th, and given that some build servers aren't syncing, those two problems propagated into a perpetual hell.
...it was ultimately decided it was best to pause builds for a bit, figure out the issues, and then restart them.

What is the source of this information?
The official blog says:

It is self explanatory.
The devices that have gotten Official LOS 17.1 will only get LOS 17.1 Nightlies and LOS 16 will be stopped for them.
Those devices that were on LOS 16, but don't have LOS 17.1 Official status, will continue to get LOS 16, but only on a weekly basis.

No device will get both LOS 16 and 17.1. Quite Obvious.

Hello, I've got a big problem with my poco f1 (LOS16 last one).
I've a ghost touching and a problem with the power button I think. When my phone is on, after a few minutes it automatically try to shut-off. It look press the power button, and choose "restart" (it could have been shutdown or screenshot, I think it's just "lucky" to hit restart).
When I turn it off, it *automatically* boot up after maybe 50min~1h (it's kind of random). So it long press the power button....

Anyone can help me? ;(

Hi,

I'm still running this fantastic Lineage OS 16 on my Poco F1. I need to say, it still running fantastic so on that point of view there is no need to go for LOS17. The problem is that I'm a bit worried about the security as we speak...

As this ROM and my Rom, Kernel & Vendor (Franco & Berylium) aren't updated for months now, the security patches are still from 2019 and even earlier. Is this a big issue? If yes, I want to upgrade LOS. If no, I'm really happy to stay at this outdated ROM. Besides the fact that it's still running smootly, I don't want lose data and start from scratch again.

Maybe there is a workaround to keep data & settings while upgrading from 16 to 17?

Thanks already for all input!

Hi!

I'm using LOS 17.1 and TWRP, dfe did not install
I usually update through the Settings-System-Advanced-Updater settings item, the full LOS image is downloaded there (right of now 806MB) and I click Update, the phone is rebooted to TWRP, the image rolls over, then it reboots again - the system is updated, but ...
... in the menu item Privacy-Trust-Android security patches it indicates that the Platform is up-to-date, and Vendor is outdated.
1) How do I update Vendor?
2) Where to download it from?
3) Is it possible to do this from TWRP without reinstalling LOS from scratch, or will I have to reinstall LOS and set everything up again?

Thanks in advance for your answers!

Just flashed this. Was using paranoid android quartz 5 (which is android 10 I believe).
Now whenever I play a video from YouTube, folders, browser etc it stutters and there is not audio playback.
I wiped, reflashed. Nothing works
Do I need to flash andriod 9 firmware and vendor and flash los 16 again?(I just wiped and flash the los 16 without the firmware)
Was it okay to downgrade the ROM without vendor/firmware flashing?
Thanks in advance

The stutters and lags during playback is definitely due to the wrong vendor/firmware. Yes you need to flash the older vendor/firmware. I'm not sure which one, so better refer to some posts which deal with downgrading to prevent sh** from happening.

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 9 (pie), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review.

    Time for update :D

    Changelog
    • March security patch
    • Fixed boot issues with latest firmware and vendor
    • Performance improvements
    • Touch improvements
    • Lineage Upstream

As you all are aware official builds are rolling out but I will continue to provide unofficial builds till I get to merge outstanding features (per-app thermal and dirac mainly) which diverge this build from official. In op you will be able to find both builds so it will be up-to you to choose a build that suits you I will try to update this build twice a month enjoy :p
