Temporary solution: I found this module for magisk. It's AOSP dialer with automatic call recording. For now it works very smooth. I 've read that AEX team helped to create this app.

Can anyone please help download buildprop editor app and share the setting recovery to me, please? (redmi 5 plus AEX rom) My camera doesn’t work and my screen keep splashing as I wrongly edit some settings without backup the setting. Thanks!!!!!
Thanks a lot for your suggestion! I have installed the rom & Gapp again and wipe Dalvik/Art cache & Cache via TWRP. But it still doesn’t work.
What I have done before is to change the buildprop for switching on camera2, so I’m thinking if it can be fixed by recovering it to default. Thanks!

NEVER wipe Dalvik/Cache in recovery, NEVER.
If nothing works, clean flash the rom.
Why never wipe cachedalvik in recovery?
You can just open the file with a file explorer (Es File Explorer, MiXplorer, and many more), located at /system/build.prop, and delete the line with cam2api you added

Dude, do you realize you have been asking people to send build.prop so many times yet no one has answered you so far? Either most of them have changed ROMs or don't want to share.
There is a very simple fix, just clean Flash the ROM and you have to depend on others constantly.
Also to remind, Pie is no longer supported because AEX Q has started already.

Starting from Lollipop Cache and Dalvik have kinda become obsolete. And wiping them also causes unwanted trouble.

2. The quality of the sound transmitted over cellular connection is bad. The interlocutor hears me very badly. But I hear the interlocutor very well. It is sounds like a poor cell signal level or a long distance from a cell base station. It is not a microphone problem, microphone works well in all other applications, like messengers or dictaphones. And it is not a problem of SIM/Cell network/etc. I tried another SIM card and got the same problem. My network connection is LTE or H/H+ during the phone call.

As you've stated, I'm too running the same os and see no difference in battery discharge, i meant to say that battery backup is decent for me, and faced no issues related to call or connectivity as you've said.

People already on AEX v6.0 should receive an OTA
Oh obviously, I know how much people love AEX here, I wouldn't let you guys wait that much, so I didn't sleep today and fixed everything, will be back at studying so won't be able to be update again if any other bugs comes up, please keep that bug a secret till next week too in case you see one, though I am pretty sure many things got fixed and a big improvement over previous one. KINDLY CLEAN FLASH to avoid issues.
29In few days, June Security Patch will be out, that's when I'll push v6.6 as I said earlier update didn't come last month because of me being busy with the new 4.9 based trees, which you already might have tried with the LOS builds I did recently in past month.
The deal is, everything works fine, there shouldn't be any bugs now, 4.9 will make the system more smooth and the battery backup will surely be insane. But the tradeoff is 3rd Party camera, we have seen green artifacts in WhatsApp cam previously and it's still there, no only us, many other devices on Pie are facing the same issue, I'll push the update but you guys will have to compromise on one thing, please use the Snap Camera which will come prebuilt or the GCam I'll post with the download post, because that's what works flawlessly on 4.9
We have been testing AEX on the 4.9 kernel and my LOS trees, and it's insane tbh. AEX has never been this good for our device in my humble opinion.
So please, I request you guys to refrain from mentioning green camera bugs, it's a humble request, because it can't be solved as of now, all I can do is implement OSS camera HAL from CAF and nuke the prebuilt camera hidl blobs from MIUI, but it's very difficult as of now. I have been banging my head with the logs but they just don't explain enough for me to act. So give some time idk how much though, please use Snap or GCam to click your photos, it shouldn't be that difficult I guess :/
I hope it won't be difficult for you guys to adjust on that a little.
v6.6 will be the biggest update ever. Changelog will be pretty good! Both Device side and ROM side.
