Kinda strange that same way of restoration a same-way backup leads to different results

Do u have always locked bootloader with blissrom Like me?

Did u backup wirhout pw or any encryption and Made a wipe right before the restoration?

Dont lough but sometimes a double restore does the trick like sometimes a double installation does

Edit: OK i see now that ur backup had encryption, nevermind

Question : on TWRP site is reported that, most of the times, the only partitions to be backupped are system, data, cache and vendor and they advise to don't backup the other partitions like EFS and so on cause they could give an error during restoring......
When you go into TWRP backup screen, it allow you to choose which partition to backup ( data, firmware, boot, DTBO, EFS, Modem, Persist_Image, VBmeta, Vendor Boot, XBL A, XBL B, Super ) and all of them are already ticked so I usually proceed with backup all of them.

Do you do the same or you choose some partitions to backup ?

Another question : as soon as backup starts, in the very first line you find :
Attempting to decrypt FBE for user 0...
User 0 decrypted successfully
If I'm not wrong, as I'm not using any pin pattern I should not be encrypted so why it proceed with decryption ?

And what FBE stands for ?

Many thansk to all of you !

That is normal as even If u have no pin u technincaly are encrpypted anyhow, and what i do is i always Check that everyrhing is ticked while i backup and while i restore, doesnt matter what has been written where i try, tried and succeeded this way but not any other way (still backup all partititon without pin and restore all partition but little reset before initiaiting restore)

If u still encounter sht, try the backup as discussed but before restore, install ur rom than make wipe than make restore

Ok, noted with thanks !

I'm trying Nameless rom.

This is a good rom as expected. Very similar to BlissROM so if you face matters with Bliss, you could consider to try Namelss.
Anyway, Bliss has more customized options to play with so, imho, it's more funny !

Im about to try it like the customability of bliss but i need wireguard on kernelkernel level and that is right now only possible with nameless+blue_active

I might research and compile it for this Rom rather than going back to blueclue if i find the time

Great gonna try! Strong rom btw much thx

Any chance of getting other kernel working with blissrom, like blue_spark?

Edit: nevermind! it works well with it

Edit2: no HD audio ala AptX? Had to use the magisk module to get it back

The AptX issue should be fixed with the Android 13 QPR2 merge. I may make a new build with AptX included until the merge.

Take ur time, in the meanwhile, this module brings it back: https://github.com/multiwirth/aptx-HD-magisk

PS: can i somehow get rid of the disturbing status notification (Green DOT) for location access? Always anoyed me as some apps access more often and while i play games it pops up every two minutes showing the hole status bar for a second with it

From my point of view Bliss Rom is an underestimated Rom. I´m not an expert of custom but I`v tested most of them for OP9P (I`m 76 years and been at XDA since 2008 and tested some rom under my time at XDA, but not an developer). Bliss rom is in front of customs rom for OP9P. Bliss is running withou any problem and full of possiblillty of setting including OnePlus setting, StagOS and PixelExtended is rom on same level as Bliss rom so Bliss rom is in a high level.
Thanks for a very good rom and your hard work to keepe Bliss rom at a highest level of custom rom for OnelPlus 9 Pro. Thanks

Hi Mr. lassetth,
I agree with you as I'm using BlissROM and EvolutionX, both very customized and full of options to play with.

By the way, I would like to congrats as you wear them well at 76 years :)

Android modding practice hepls to remain young !!! (y)

I installed this over the weekend and had the same "cannot read" issue when I tried to install via adb sideload through the lineage recovery.

I tried to flash it through the unified twrp and it seemed like it was going to work but after a few minutes TWRP threw up a bunch of errors.

I ended up loading the rom zip on a usb-c flash drive and then it installed fine with the lineage recovery.

I don't know if it matters, but I'm using the T-Mobile variant, which I converted to the global firmware and updated to oos13 before installing Bliss.
