Wow! Thanks for this ROM! Works great on my Z1 Compact D5503.For me the recovery is not working (not from reboot). I trun off the phone, press the Volume Up, Orange led pops up, and restart.
Camera has been partly fixed for oreo!
We have now working flashlight (torch functionality), and can take photos with some apps (not including the inbuilt one, but e.g. OpenCamera or Footej camera).
Video recording is broken as well.
Check out this new thread for test builds and further oreo updates: https://forum.xda-developers.com/so...development/rom-aicp-13-1-o8-1-amami-t3755554

The latest stock for Z1c is 14.6.A.1.236. You can flash stock ftf via flashtool.Ok thank you very much
I have unlocked bootloader now.
Can you tell me few things?
- which version of latest stock should I flash (lollipop?) Flashing by flashtool?
- how to root this stock, possible to make it via rootkit?
- how then flash recovery? I tried many version of twrp and always it was crap (artifact on screen and brick phone)
- in the end - can I flash AICP with gapps?
In every of my phone's I had AICP, I made it many times on many phone's and only Xperia don't like me...
Download the Sony Flashtool (Emma) from here:
https://developer.sony.com/develop/open-devices/get-started/flash-tool
Select the Z1C and install latest Firmware. Should be Lollipop 5.1.1.
Then you have real recovery. If you never updated to an official Sony Lollipop you do not have it! And you need it!
Hm, i think with open bootloader you do not need to root. Just flash TWRP and from there install AICP.
edit: After flashing AICP you can get root via SuperSu or Magisk.
How do you flash TWRP? With fastboot?
edit: how to correctly flash TWRP: https://forum.xda-developers.com/sony-xperia-z1-compact/general/twrp-3-0-1-amami-t3350827
See the first post. After having the newest Lollipop you have real recovery. That means you should use the second option from that post.
OpengApps.org package should work. You have to know if you have ARM or
ARM64 and which Android version the AICP is using.
Should I wait for the next official Oreo release? Or should I install this one? How long do we have to wait?

6.0 New rom link!
Quite long time very silent here. Does anybody know, if or when we might(!) see a progress for amami?
Since the bugs reported here I'm sticking to an old mm build from 19. Sept..
1) Can we see, if there is hope for a android 7 N build with a working camera or an last update on the Android 6 MM tree?
2) Independent I love the AICP builds, does anyone has a hint for an rom >5.1 e.g. lollipop with a decent working camera?
