I´ve installed the ROM with TWRP. It workes fine and I can use Nougat (thanks ;) ). Now I wanted to flash the Sony App Enabler https://forum.xda-developers.com/an...-sony-apps-enabler-install-sony-apps-t3590477 but I´m not able to boot into TWRP anymore. When the pink light is on and I press Volume Up button the orange/red light shines. What does that mean? I thought it means, that TWRP is loading. But then the light goes out, nothing happens and the phone reboots. I could do this the whole day :D How can I boot into recovery?

Are there any disadvantages of disabling HW Overlays?

Another problem: Google Keep does not work. I flashed open GApps full. The app closes when I want it to open.:( Deactivating and reactivating does not work. Any ideas?

Besides that. Does anyone have problems with YouTube? It shows a black screen after about 15 sec. Disabling HW Overlays helped. I haven't noticed someone mentioning in this thread (according to YouTube).

I think disablinh hw overlays has a negative impact on the battery life, as it always uses the gpu. I don't know how big of a difference it makes though

Download TWRP 3.2.1 and flash it like this:
fastboot flash FOTAKernel recovery.img

Hold the volume down button and turn on your phone. Now you can use TWRP. :)

Build 7.1.2 is certainly more functional than 8.1. But lacking with the current Google security fixes.

Yes it will. Instructions are very simple. Download ADB and twrp recovery, rename it to recovery.img, copy to ADB folder, shift + right click open command prompt, fastboot flash FOTAKernel recovery.img and you're done.

Do you know what I could have done wrong? Why am I not able to boot into TWRP anymore?
another question: What about dalvic chache? What is it and when do I have to delete it? Thanks!

Hi, i need help with led notification. In Settings>Notifications>Configure notifications>Notification light, i can't add my apps. I want change colour messeging service and other apps. Thanks for help and sorry for my bad english ;)

AudioFX is no longer working, but if I enable and disable Mono Audio it will start working again till the song changes, then I will have to do the whole thing again. Any idea for what might be causing this?

I'm using the sony music app

There ahould be a plus button at the top right which lets you add any app and then tweak the settings at the bottom

Check if you have the latest version, or else you could try a third party app

Hi guys! I'm using N 7.1 for about three months now and I want to say that this firmware is the best among the custom ones I've ever used on different devices. Thanks to the creators!
But there is a small problem with VPN connections: I use VPN connection type L2tp PSK. Everything connects fine and works, but when disconnection occurs (it's not important that I initiated the disconnect or it disconnected without my intervention), the phone immediately reboots. There is a chance that a bug fix in a nougat?

Sorry, development stopped for Nougat, focus is now on AICP 13.1 (Oreo)

Did Bitwarden screw me up?

I rebooted my phone and am now stuck on the AICP loading screen. I think it's related to my granting accessibility options to Bitwarden, a password manager. I was warned that this would mess with my encryption, and now I'm able to get into TWRP 3.0.3-0 without entering my pin. I'll backup my phone from TWRP, wipe it, reinstall AICP and reload my data, but I have some questions:

-If I'm reloading from the same data, will I have the same problem?
-Will I be able to backup to my SD card?
-Android doesn't differentiate between the internal storage and the SD card. Does TWRP? I don't want to accidentally wipe my SD card with my backup on it.

Hey guys, I'm a total noob on all this here, but I want to flash AICP to my z1c.
For one main reason, and therefore I need your help to answer this question:
Is it possible to save any installed app and all the app-data on the micro SD card instead of internal 16GB disc?

    AICP is known by everyone as the "Ice Cold Project" that started on a Desire HD years ago and since then evolved into a mature ROM with the BEST community you can find!!!

    Until Lollipop, the Rom has always been based on AOKP. Unfortunately, since AOKP stopped development (but made a comeback later), we changed our base to CM when it comes to hardware, drivers and some features.
    With the rebrand of CM to LineageOS (LAOS) we are now actually LAOS based with some tweaks from AOSP.

    If there are any bugs, either we will sort them out or LAOS team, if it concerns their code base. This rom isn't LAOS supported, so no need to report errors or bugs to them!!

    If you experience a black screen in some apps (e.g. in Youtube or in camera app), please go to Developer options and enable "Disable HW overlays". Alternatively, you can also add a quick setting for this setting after having enabled developer settings. This setting is not persistent, so you will have to set it after each boot!

    The ROM should contain everything you need to enjoy Android Nougat. You don't need to install any Add-Ons, simply download the latest ROM, GApps, flash it and go!
    If you want the device to run the ROM "rooted", you can flash a root solution of your choice after the ROM Zipfile.

    It is STRONGLY recommended to fully wipe your device before flashing, and if possible avoid restoring system apps and system data with Titanium Backup as this can cause stability issues that are very hard to debug.
    If you believe you know what you're doing - then fine, go ahead, but please don't complain if you experience any strange behavior.


    How to flash:
    (Again: Don't do it if you don't know it!)

    Make sure you have real recovery!
    Download the ROM and GApps and transfer them to your device
    Boot to recovery (TWRP recommended)
    Wipe system, Cache, data and ART/Dalvik cache
    Flash ROM Zipfile
    Flash/Install GApps (optional, needed for e.g. Google Playstore to work)
    Flash/Install the root solution of choice (optional)
    Reboot to system

    The ROM has GApps persistance in between dirty flashes, so you only have to flash them once!
    The root solution should be flashed together with every OTA update (= ROM Update)!


    Supported root solutions:

    Magisk v13.x

    SuperSU - stable and beta available (Site by CCMT that took over the the marketing from chainfire)
    SuperSU - direct download link for the latest SuperSU directly from the dev (chainfire)

    Lineage SU-addon (check your needed version: 14.1 arm or arm64) -> the removal zip is available here too.


    PREREQUISITE FOR OTA:
    To be able to flash using the buildin OTA app that needs TWRP recovery installed to work.
    You can still use LAOS recovery and OTA app, but you will need to download the zip file and flash it manually from within your recovery. Zip gets saved in the "AICP_ota" folder on your internal storage.
    Please be sure that you are on the latest TWRP recovery.

    Issues:
    - Missing splash logo
    - Sepolicy is permissive
    - Reboot to recovery not working
    - Possible black screen
    - Camera connection problems
    - ???

    + Stock binaries, much better camera than before :), performance and battery probably better too (needs testing)

    It's a test build, has some issues and is probably not ready for daily use, so make a backup before trying out

    Camera is getting better, currently downloading new binaries to see how much improvement they bring.
    Didn't upload a new build yet because progress is slow and probably nobody except for me would use it yet either way.
    I also plan on updating 6.0 once more if/when the camera fully works again.

    Hi guys,
    I have an idea how we could solve the camera issue. I've found a phone, called Wileyfox Storm, which has the same camera sensor (Sony IMX220) as the Z1C. And as far as I know, this Wileyfox phone has completely working nougat rom.
