Hi, with Appbak you can backup your app but psw etc you must insert....

Inviato dal mio Xperia Z1 Compact utilizzando Tapatalk

No, misunderstanding :)
All my Apps are installed on the device hard disc by default. 95% Of hard disc are used by applications. And this slows down my device. I would like to have the possibility to install apps on the micro SD card only :)
got it?

In my opinion, oreo on the z1c is a bad idea, the power drain is so big that you need have powerbank all the time witch your phone.
In one night i lose 15-20% battery on oreo, witch kit kat 3%. Ofc when im sleeping.

Hi,

I've also flashed the 12.1 right now and I faced the same issue: when I try to switch to video mode (or change to front camera) with the built-in camera the screen turns black and nothing happen. My solution for now I just use a third party app (open camera) which works fine. The bigger drawback on this is, that the Sony camera plugins (as blur or timeshift etc.) are not longer available. :(

And I have a more critical issue on my side: I cannot install any apk from a sd-card. Always there is a message like "parser error of apk". This message comes from the package manager and before the check whether an installation from "unkown source" is made. I've tried several apk, they are ok for sure.

You have to disable HW Overlays in developer settings. Just search this thread. Maybe here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/sony-xperia-z1-compact/development/rom-aicp-11-0-mm-6-0-1-amami-t3428288/post74916552#post74916552

What about copying the apk's to internal storage before? Is it working then? I know it's just a workaround, but you don't install 10 apps every day, aren't you? ;)

Which gapps did you use? I tried 2 different gapps with this rom. Mini and Stock. Similar problems were encountered in the camera when using the mini package. But when I using the stock package, I did not have any problems in the camera. I think the camera problem is related to gapps packages.

I'm using Google Now Launcher. Is there any way to remove "Google Search" bar from main screen?

With stock or super gapps package snap camera is replaced by google camera. That's why it works like using a third party app. Mini package doesn't include google camera so you have to disable HW overlays.
See this for comparison: https://github.com/opengapps/opengapps/wiki/Package-Comparison

I use Pico because I want to use as less Google apps as I can (and as it is still comfortable to me). Maybe I'll try to use the Sony Cam. But first I'll check the thread whether this port supports the plugins as blur etc.

@115ek: Thank you. Copying the apk to the internal storage was the key. :) And also disable HW overlay works (for now). But as I wrote; I'll check the Sony Cam port. Maybe this works better.

In the meantime I've installed the Sony Cam but here is the same issue: disable HW Overlay to get it working. :( Its a pity because I liked that blur module. Anyway, I'll using Open Camera for now which is also a great camera app.

Could someone please reupload this ROM (because the original link is down)?
Maybe to Androidfilehost or something like that?
Thanks

Hi, I've tried this ROM and it boot loops. I just couldn't get it to work.
Maybe it needs Stock ROM first?
So, I went through all the available ROMs for Xperia Z1C and found only 3 that were any good.
Lineage 18, CDroid, and Ressurection Remix.
I found RR the better of the 3.

    AICP
    Android Ice Cold Project

AICP is known by everyone as the "Ice Cold Project" that started on a Desire HD years ago and since then evolved into a mature ROM with the BEST community you can find!!!

Until Lollipop, the Rom has always been based on AOKP. Unfortunately, since AOKP stopped development (but made a comeback later), we changed our base to CM when it comes to hardware, drivers and some features.
With the rebrand of CM to LineageOS (LAOS) we are now actually LAOS based with some tweaks from AOSP.

If there are any bugs, either we will sort them out or LAOS team, if it concerns their code base. This rom isn't LAOS supported, so no need to report errors or bugs to them!!

    Code:
    #include <std_disclaimer.h>

    /*
     * Your warranty is now void.
     *
     * We are not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
     * thermonuclear war or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
     * do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
     * before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
     * you point the finger at us for messing up your device, we will laugh at you. Hard & a lot.

If you experience a black screen in some apps (e.g. in Youtube or in camera app), please go to Developer options and enable "Disable HW overlays". Alternatively, you can also add a quick setting for this setting after having enabled developer settings. This setting is not persistent, so you will have to set it after each boot!

    Reboot to recovery not working

    You tell... :p

    instructions.png

The ROM should contain everything you need to enjoy Android Nougat. You don't need to install any Add-Ons, simply download the latest ROM, GApps, flash it and go!
If you want the device to run the ROM "rooted", you can flash a root solution of your choice after the ROM Zipfile.

It is STRONGLY recommended to fully wipe your device before flashing, and if possible avoid restoring system apps and system data with Titanium Backup as this can cause stability issues that are very hard to debug.
If you believe you know what you're doing - then fine, go ahead, but please don't complain if you experience any strange behavior.

    How to flash:

(Again: Don't do it if you don't know it!)

Make sure you have real recovery!
Download the ROM and GApps and transfer them to your device
    Boot to recovery (TWRP recommended)
Wipe system, Cache, data and ART/Dalvik cache
    Flash ROM Zipfile
Flash/Install GApps (optional, needed for e.g. Google Playstore to work)
Flash/Install the root solution of choice (optional)
    Reboot to system

The ROM has GApps persistance in between dirty flashes, so you only have to flash them once!
The root solution should be flashed together with every OTA update (= ROM Update)!

    Supported root solutions:

    Magisk v13.x

SuperSU - stable and beta available (Site by CCMT that took over the the marketing from chainfire)
SuperSU - direct download link for the latest SuperSU directly from the dev (chainfire)

Lineage SU-addon (check your needed version: 14.1 arm or arm64) -> the removal zip is available here too.

    PREREQUISITE FOR OTA:
To be able to flash using the buildin OTA app that needs TWRP recovery installed to work.
You can still use LAOS recovery and OTA app, but you will need to download the zip file and flash it manually from within your recovery. Zip gets saved in the "AICP_ota" folder on your internal storage.
Please be sure that you are on the latest TWRP recovery.

New test build with 3.4 kernel up!

    Issues:
    - Missing splash logo
    - Sepolicy is permissive
    - Reboot to recovery not working
    - Possible black screen
    - Camera connection problems
    - ???

+ Stock binaries, much better camera than before :), performance and battery probably better too (needs testing)

It's a test build, has some issues and is probably not ready for daily use, so make a backup before trying out
    12
    WiFi issue fixed.
New test build is up; if no severe bugs are found, next official build will be based on 3.4 kernel!

    6.0 New rom link!
Quite long time very silent here. Does anybody know, if or when we might(!) see a progress for amami?
Since the bugs reported here I'm sticking to an old mm build from 19. Sept..

    1) Can we see, if there is hope for a android 7 N build with a working camera or an last update on the Android 6 MM tree?
    2) Independent I love the AICP builds, does anyone has a hint for an rom >5.1 e.g. lollipop with a decent working camera?

Camera is getting better, currently downloading new binaries to see how much improvement they bring.
Didn't upload a new build yet because progress is slow and probably nobody except for me would use it yet either way.
I also plan on updating 6.0 once more if/when the camera fully works again.

    Hi guys,
I have an idea how we could solve the camera issue. I've found a phone, called Wileyfox Storm, which has the same camera sensor (Sony IMX220) as the Z1C. And as far as I know, this Wileyfox phone has completely working nougat rom. Here is the device tree sources, if someone can use it to build the camera part of it, with our Z1C's kernel: https://github.com/PureNexusProject-Mod/android_device_wileyfox_kipper
