There is a magisk module, search for gesture navigation in magisk, for the one compatible with android 11

The only issues I found are: nfc is not working for me, and I have high battery drain with screen off. My phone never goes into deep sleep.

Well for my phone, it does go to deep sleep and does not have a battery drain issue

NFC will be added in next build. Battery drain will also.be fixed in next update

Tried clean flashing the rom and installing bitgapps. Phone didn't boot in 20 minutes so I assumed it got into a bootloop and gave up.

Yes use magisk hide. From next build you don't need magisk hide

I'd your phone encrypted? If so, then that's probably why it won't boot.

It is not, and it boots with any other android 11 gapps. I only tried because the other guy said he doesn't have the battery drain issue and he uses those.

That's affirmative - and there won't obviously be one in future as all DevDB threads will be reverted to "normal" threads eventually. Please refer to Big Changes To XDA Forums are Coming Soon:

However, you can manually edit to Android 11. Just don't use the option "Edit project" but edit the OP (only available in Style XDA 2015); please refer to attached screenshot (screenshot referred to this post).
