To update magisk with this rom, would I use the direct method or keep patching the boot file from the first post?

This update to v4.5 adds some new features and kernel improvements, see change log(s) below.

If you're already running Scorpion, just follow the directions under "Updating".
Please, do a clean install if you run into any problems, sometimes "Dirty flashing" causes jank...

The OP will be updated following this post.

Wondering if anyone has had trouble dirty flashing the June update. A clean flash is obviously my next step, but after dirty flashing the update twice, I get through the Scorpion flash screens, then the phone reboots back to the 5/04 ROM.

Thanks for the continued support of this great ROM.

I didn't have any issues, I usually always flash dirty

any feature hide notch with rounded on corner?
I'm not really sure what you are getting at, however, all of our "features" are located in Settings app. We don't use a special tweak type of app, we put things in Settings where they belong (our opinion anyway, lol)

If you're looking for something in particular, I suggest using the search menu in Settings. It will either take you right where you want to go, or we don't have that feature

    Feel The Sting!

Since we have no working TWRP for the Pixel 3XL, we have to flash with our own custom recovery. In the download section below, you will find a boot image and the ROM zip. You need to download both and follow the install instructions.

    Downloads:
    Crosshatch
    Blueline

    Installation:
For First Time Install, you must clean flash! Check the upload date, this will let you know which factory image you need to be on before flashing your device.

    1) Plug the device into a PC and open a terminal
    2) adb reboot bootloader
    3) fastboot flash boot boot.img --slot all
    4) fastboot reboot-bootloader
    5) Using the device volume buttons, select Recovery Mode
    6) Use the custom recovery to Factory reset the device
    7) When it's done, select Apply update followed by Apply from ADB
(This will allow you to sideload the ROM zip)
    8) adb sideload the_rom.zip
    Code:
    # Example (using a Wildcard shortcut)
    adb sideload S*.zip
    9) Reboot system and Enjoy
