On Treble GSI ROM there is no chance to have a working FM radio (on Kirin-devices).
JFYI: the latest dotOS 5.1.3-official on Xiaomi and on ANE-LX1:

Choose Android > GSI ARM 64 (A/B) , Vanilla or gapps variant.
(I installed dotOS v5.1.3 yesterday, the screen in my previous post is from my phone).
Hi again :cowboy:

I installed 9.1.0.142
Huawei P20 Lite ANE-LX3 ANE-L23 hw la HLRCF Anne-L23 9.1.0.142(C605E3R1P3T8)
now i have updated to 9.1.0.355 via OTA.
How can I make a backup of my current firmware?
if i try dotOS and if i don't like it, go back to my current firmware without having to update again from 9.1.0.142

Maybe via eRecovery, using option "Download latest version and recovery".

Upd.: I think I found a solution, but I don't know if it's worth it...

1. Decrypt data https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/data-decryption-on-emui-9-1.4319329/post-85478865
2. Install TWRP 3.2.1 GAGUGA Edition
3. make a 'System Image' and 'Data' backup (on the SD card of course :)))
To revert to EMUI now, use the Restore function in TWRP. Use the same TWRP.

Hi!

New test build is up! Let me know if this time device is certified. I also update kernel to the new version.

lineage-16.0-20210928-UNOFFICIAL-anne.zip

MD5 : 50a19c04c134f5fd5b2ae9af317cf558

Cheers
Hi, I flashed your build. Only the public key notification showed up upon booting so uncertified seems to be fixed. I wanted to build it myself but life got caught up with me so I appriciate the good work.

Lineage-16.0-20210215-nightly-anne-signed

It does not have fm radio,
I tried to install next radio and huawei radio by default and it did not work.

it does not support dual sim.

Your built support dual sim and FM radio?

I found your repository and roms
Do your compilations support dual sim and fm radio?

Bootleggers Pie 4.3 for Huawei P20 Lite
crDroid v5.12 for Huawei P20 Lite
Hi!

For dual sim try:
1- Install termux
2- Open termux and insert -> setprop persist.radio.multisim.config dsds

Cheers

Hi @-Alf-
I see that you have a signal bar showing in this rom? Am I mistaken or is there a way to show signal now in GSI?
Thanks
Hi, the first screenshot is taken on Xiaomi bro,
the latest dotOS 5.1.3-official on Xiaomi and on ANE-LX1:
And Xiaomi is supported device, so the phone probably has Custom installed, not GSI.
is there a way to show signal now in GSI?
there is no way.

My own experience only, not universal guide :)

- Install TWRP - I tried several TWRP with result "error 7", finally tried TWRP from the link and it worked (idk why, it's for Oreo - by pretoriano80)
https://mega.nz/#!Fgd0xa4R!1o5ejzDnkLJLG2tAZG-STtlJ4nnNCHfwwZdOlmOkrVw
- boot in TWRP > Wipe > Format data , go back in TWRP
- Wipe > Advanced Wipe > Wipe Dalvik, Cache, Data, System, Internal storage > Swipe to wipe and go back to the TWRPs main menu
- Flash LineageOS 16.0
- Do Factory reset from STOCK RECOVERY (I would recommend installing TWRP over eRecovery, it makes things easier :)) - go back to the main TWRP's menu, select Reboot > Reboot recovery > permform factory reset.

Edit: how to install TWRP over eRecovery
Guide
when i press the twrp img file erecovery doesn't show up as an option

First flash TWRP , run command
fastboot flash recovery_ramdisk (TWRP's_name).img
Since A8 and above you can not install TWRP over eRecovery from fastboot, only from TWRP:
- Copy TWRP file to the SD card, and also copy to card Stock Recovery_ramdisk, download here:
https://mega.nz/#!M0FHlYhb!4yWz8Onr3D1NATel4mZSK4SNdd5B3p6dnPg6oXPGWl8
Boot in TWRP, select storage - SD Card, select "Install image", find TWRP file and mark eRecovery, swipe. Go back, find recovery_ramdisk-9.1 file , mark Recovery, swipe. Reboot system.
Hi,

I cannot find option "eRecovery" in "Install image" screen of my TWRP Version 3.6.2_9-0.
I wanted to install GSI as described in the following tutorial: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/my-experience-pixel-experience-plus-a11-gsi-unofficial.4298551/
At step 3, one is being guided towards this post. But I cannot really perform it since option "eRecovery" is not selectable, only "recovery_ramdisk" - for both, twrp.img and recovery ramdisk 9.1.img.
However, I was still able to either enter eRecovery via volume up + connect with usb cable to computer or to enter TWRP via volume up + power.

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 9 (Pie), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

    • Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
    • If it is a random reboot, grab /sys/fs/pstore/console-ramoops and /sys/fs/pstore/dmesg-ramoops-0. (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
    • If the problem disappears after running "setenforce 0" from a root shell, grab /data/misc/audit/audit.log
Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. Please also do not report known issues. Any bug not reported in the bug report format below may be ignored.

You are a lifesaver! Thank you kindly.

On a totally different note : Someone please remind me to never get a huawei device ever again, they are way more trouble than they are worth to unlock lol

official build download link is dead
    Maybe because https://metimetech.com/lineageos-re...ls-are-no-longer-compatible-with-popular-rom/

    You can try Lineage-16.0-20210215-nightly-anne-signed Link
Working NFC, GPS, native call recording, offline charging etc.
    Note: EMUI 9.1 is required.

Edit: internet browser doesn't work (due to missing webview) . Solution : simply install Google Chrome app
    2
    Makes sense lol.
Well either way, hitting a bit of an issue from the starting point :

    Code:
    >fastboot flash erecovery_ramdisk TWRP-oreo-smart.img
    Sending 'erecovery_ramdisk' (24790 KB) OKAY [ 0.677s]
Writing 'erecovery_ramdisk' FAILED (remote: 'Command not allowed')
    fastboot: error: Command failed

All I can flash is the regular recovery_ramdisk partition, which would overwrite the stock recovery :|

EDIT : Trying to relock and unlock the bootloader to get around that, since that seems to be the issue here.
First flash TWRP , run command
    fastboot flash recovery_ramdisk (TWRP's_name).img
Since A8 and above you can not install TWRP over eRecovery from fastboot, only from TWRP:
    - Copy TWRP file to the SD card, and also copy to card Stock Recovery_ramdisk, download here:
    https://mega.nz/#!M0FHlYhb!4yWz8Onr3D1NATel4mZSK4SNdd5B3p6dnPg6oXPGWl8
Boot in TWRP, select storage - SD Card, select "Install image", find TWRP file and mark eRecovery, swipe. Go back, find recovery_ramdisk-9.1 file , mark Recovery, swipe. Reboot system.

    Cool, where's the device trees?
    github.com/hi6250-dev

Hi! Is factory reset with stock recovery still needed?
    Edit : yes is needed

BUG : webview is missing , solved by installing it with apk , device is not certified by google play
It is not missing, it is in system/product due to lineage changes and it is crashing just because it is there right now, I am working on it.
