Couple of issues I'm experiencing:
1. Bluetooth DS4 (playstation 4 controller) connects but buttons only sometimes work. This is a known Android 11 issue, apparently related to accessibility services? Anyway, probably nothing to be done about this one.
2. When I leave "recent apps" (the square button at the bottom of the screen) without choosing an app, by either closing the last app or clicking on the background, it goes to the built-in ArrowOS Launcher instead of my default launcher (I'm using Lawnchair).

Experiencing an issue where I cannot add a fingerprint to a secondary user, but only if the primary user already has a fingerprint registered. I noticed this issue with PixelExperience too, so I'm curious if this is a known AOSP issue?

Anybody facing this issue - in settings > display > lockscreen, scroll fully down and I cannot see further settings.. i want to set pocket mode (check for proximity sensor before unlock) but cannot.. check the scroll bar.. I've fully scrolled down..

Also there is no quick unlock. I have to press the enter/arrow button everytime I key in the pin.. hope this gets added in future builds.

My phone is unlocking in my pocket all the time, too, so I turned off "tap to wake" and that's helping.
I also experimented with the "fingerprint behaviour" setting to "press" instead of "touch". This has the unexpected effect of requiring me to press the button once to wake it, and then lift my thumb and touch again to unlock the phone. With "touch" it woke and unlocked my phone with just a touch. "Press" worked as expected in stock MIUI.

I have a question about DFE.
In the install instructions stand this:
“If you flashed a decrypted MIUI vendor, after flashing the builds with included vendor, it will be overwritten, so you must flash DFE after the ROM everytime you flash a new release, before booting the ROM."
What is the Vendor and when is it encrypted?
And where can I find DFE for flashing?
And is Disable Force Encryption something that I can do in the system settings?
Thx a lot for everybody who answered!

Hello,

Sorry to ask my question again, but I still haven't found the answer. How do I get the photos taken with the front camera to the in correct resolution (without rooting my phone) ?

Whether with the stock camera, or with GCam, my selfies are only 4 Mpixels.

Thanks in advance :)

If you don't know what decrypted vendor / DFE is simply ignore that.

I wanted to travel soon and is this rom stable and working well enough as a daily driver?
Need something reliable when I'm traveling and need gpay to work (maybe even with magisk and adblock?)

Also does this rom work fine with exfat formated 512gb San Disk micro sd cards?

The stock MIUI Rom works with the card but for some unexplainable reason it wants to reformat the card whenever I reinsert it or reboot the phone.

The card is brand new and works perfectly fine with my older Samsung S8+ or pc.

I tried to circumvent the format dialog by trying stuff out on my pc like deleting folders which are created when it's inserted in the phone and the check for errors on my pc and it somehow worked (but not reliable at all). I really don't wanna do that ever again especially when I don't have a computer around but must insert a new sim card.

I even formatted the card multiple times on my pc and phone itself but it appears to be a bug in the software which might be triggered the more I have filled the sd card which I hope I can avoid with this rom.

Hi all, and thanks for the ROM.

I just unlocked my bootloader, installed twrp, then the ROM. Followed the instructions, and formatted data, dalvic and art cache.

How long should first boot take, coming from stock? I'm over 15 mins, on the arrow animation, and I'm starting to fret!

Hopefully I'll edit this post, and everything will be fine.

Edit: now over 30 minutes. So I tried restarting my phone, but it's still stuck on the arrow animation.
I did a default wipe before I started (standard practice for me), was that a mistake?

I had this issue when I first installed. For me what fixed it was installing with ArrowOS recovery. After setting up everything I flashed TWRP again and everything seems ok

"Improved" is somewhat of an understatement: the version before had _terrible_ battery life, and now it looks pretty good.

Just curious, what kind of changes you did to have such drastic effect? Just a link to code review/commit is fine.

@daniml3 Thanks for the great rom.

In all web calls (ms teams/ google chat) i am getting reports that the my voice is breaking and not clear. Is this a bug or something wrong with the device itself?

Since the latest (04.09) update the "File Transfer" function is working no more, even it is activated in Developer Options / Default USB configuration.
Is anyone else facing this issue?

Well, as some of you already saw, new build, with the following changelog:
    - Switched to the Pixel Power HAL (libperfmgr)
    - Improved idle drain
    - Fixed headphone buttons
    - Fixed yellow tint and improved display colors
    - Added WiFi Display support
    - Reworked the lights service
    - Moved device specific settings into the settings homepage
    - Reserved 250MB of space in each dynamic partition for installing addons
    - Set default DPI to 392
    - Reduced bootanimation start delay
    10
New build available with the following changelog:
    • Improved cutout ring rotation changes handling
    • Fixed cutout aliasing (by showing the cutout ring always, but smaller when camera is not in use)
    • Switched to Pixel offline charging animation
    • Increased status bar height (now icons are vertically aligned with the cutout)
    • Moved the device specific settings to system settings category
    • Removed more unused files in the vendor
    • Fixed KCAL out of the box (once again (might need a clean flash))
    • Merged the tag LA.UM.9.1.r1-10900-SMxxx0.0 into the kernel
    • Updated blobs from MIUI V12.5.6.0 RKFMIXM
    10
Just to let you all know, if the device has more than 100 installations in last 24 hours (check at stats.arrowos.net/recent), it will have automatic builds each Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Those automatic builds are safe to flash even if I don't announce them (I only announce if they have device side changes), unless told otherwise.
    10
New build pushed with the following changes:
    - Updated blobs from MIUI 12.0.15.0 Global
    - Fixed infrarred blaster
    - Cleaned up vendor (reduced zip size 100MB~)

If someone had bootloops and rolled back to the previous build, this build should be good to flash now, I missed a thing in previous build which could cause bootloops on some cases, sorry for that :/.
