I had this issue when I first installed. For me what fixed it was installing with ArrowOS recovery. After setting up everything I flashed TWRP again and everything seems ok
God, I hate the XDA app!

Thanks buddy, worked a treat.

After Arrow was installed, I put TWRP back on, and now it's fine. However, I find that I'm encrypted which I hadn't really wanted. Anyway, I'm away from miui, which is a relief. I only bought this phone because I knew there were custom ROMs available, and Arrow is one of the best.

Does anyone have any idea what settings we might be unable to access due to this problem? Anyone on another rom, for example?

Superb rom otherwise. First one I've flashed for four years (been using Pixels) and I'm very impressed, thanks.
The setting that should be there is for allowing to use fingerprint right after the reboot without typing the password, but its only available on decrypted devices, hence is hidden unless decrypted.

If I want to use microg instead of gapps, I have to follow the same steps but flash microg instead of gapps right? Also do I need to flash microg every time I flash a new update (dirty flash)?

Should I turn on dc dimming? Can someone tell me pros and cons? On the internet I found out that dc dimming might not show true colors but is good for battery and doesn't flicker. Please tell me your opinions!

In the installation process, I have two questions.
First of all, we normally wipe data first than flash rom right? Here we have to flash first then wipe data?
And when do we have to flash microg?

I've installed this rom and it's generally very good but regardless of what I do I can't get the colours looking right. Some colours look oversatched and others look under. I'm comparing this to other roms I've had on the phone like Lineage and OctaviOS and also comparing to my Pixel 4a 5G running official LineageOS.

I feel it would have been simpler to just stick to Natural, Boosted and Adaptive colour options and tune the colours the same as stock. With all the options in the colour settings I still don't seem to be able to get the colours looking "right". Is anyone else having the same issue?

If you wanna change the color saturation then try a script like this:
Su
service call SurfaceFlinger 1022 f X.X

X.X value 0.7 is for me good but you can try lower or higher

Well, as some of you already saw, new build, with the following changelog:
    - Switched to the Pixel Power HAL (libperfmgr)
    - Improved idle drain
    - Fixed headphone buttons
    - Fixed yellow tint and improved display colors
    - Added WiFi Display support
    - Reworked the lights service
    - Moved device specific settings into the settings homepage
    - Reserved 250MB of space in each dynamic partition for installing addons
    - Set default DPI to 392
    - Reduced bootanimation start delay
    10
Just to let you all know, if the device has more than 100 installations in last 24 hours (check at stats.arrowos.net/recent), it will have automatic builds each Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Those automatic builds are safe to flash even if I don't announce them (I only announce if they have device side changes), unless told otherwise.

New build available with the following changelog:
    • Improved cutout ring rotation changes handling
    • Fixed cutout aliasing (by showing the cutout ring always, but smaller when camera is not in use)
    • Switched to Pixel offline charging animation
    • Increased status bar height (now icons are vertically aligned with the cutout)
    • Moved the device specific settings to system settings category
    • Removed more unused files in the vendor
    • Fixed KCAL out of the box (once again (might need a clean flash))
    • Merged the tag LA.UM.9.1.r1-10900-SMxxx0.0 into the kernel
    • Updated blobs from MIUI V12.5.6.0 RKFMIXM
    10
New build pushed with the following changes:
    - Updated blobs from MIUI 12.0.15.0 Global
    - Fixed infrarred blaster
    - Cleaned up vendor (reduced zip size 100MB~)

If someone had bootloops and rolled back to the previous build, this build should be good to flash now, I missed a thing in previous build which could cause bootloops on some cases, sorry for that :/.
