I flashed via OTA and everything worked fine on my case.

Maybe it has something to do with each phone, because on previous releases (the two lastest before 13.1), fingerprint reader stopped working on mine, and when posted here, seems that I was the only one facing that issue...

Did you install the 2023-05-29 version first?

Hi, @daniml3!
Thank you for continuously maintaining and supplying updates! I'd be happy to buy you a beer for that! 😊

The last update of 13.1 (gapps build) though, additionally to the things mentioned in my last post, makes my device crash pretty often. System UI freezes, there's strange artefacts on the screen and a reboot can only be done by holding down power button quite long.
This happens im various situations but most often when using bubbles.
I'll try to send a log next time it happens and am looking forward to the next update with this hopefully fixed!

Cheers,
VV

How are you doing partial and long screenshots? Haven't found these so far.
I'm not on ArrowOS anymore, but there should be an icon to the right of the screenshot preview you can press that will let you select the area of the screenshot. These are the screenshots I took at the time.

That opens the Simple Gallery editing tool for me. Which is fine, but makes me have to save again and change the file name if I don't want to end up with 2 images.

There should be something like this, that says "capture more." Or it might be an icon on arrowos, I can't remember.

For the people facing issues with missing apps, etc, you should do a clean install using the ArrowOS recovery: https://files.danielml.dev/android/sweet/arrow-13.1/arrow-recovery.img

Hi @daniml3, sadly your recovery didn't work, just tried it with the latest update and I lost all apps again... I was running the 20230510 build when I updated to the 20230607 build. I used OTA method. Did something change after the 20230510 build?

I have now clean flashed the 20230607 build and everything is fine, but I'm worried this is going to happen again with the next build...

I have made a backup of the stuff on my phone like SMS, MMS, call log etc. to my Google backup as that's all I need & while this has worked just fine for the last 2 or 3 ROM changes, this time, despite it saying that everything got backed up, I cannot restore SMS & call log, as at the restoring screen it says something like "Some data could not be transfered to device <whatever>". Is this an issue with ArrowOS or Google? I am quite bummed I potentially lost my SMS

Hi everybody,
i need to make you a question, similar to the one I made for flashing crDroid rom, because it's a lot of time i didn't flash a custom rom on a phone.
I have a RN10 Pro which is currently running MIUI Global 12.5.3.0 (EU Version - Android 11).
The question is: do i have to flash the latest MIUI version before flashing ArrowOS 13.1?
Another thing that's important for me before flashing is: does this flashing will affect the anti-rollback system?
I'm a bit scared because my phone was already taken to an authorized service repair for a motherbord replacement, because of a fault in a MIUI 13 update which ruined the phone, so i would like to be sure that i can go back to MIUI 12 if needed.
Thx

You don't need to flash the latest MIUI but a suitable firmware (I used the most recent at the time I installed 13.1 and all went well).

I wouldn't know why it shouldn't work to go back to MIUI 12 in fastboot mode. But i guess there's others here who can answer that with more certainty.

How can I turn on notication for huawei health app, in setting of notication for device and app it said it disable for user safe?
I'm in newest vesion of rom, very smooth, not like mi eu latest vesion old one (use it just like poor and old phone lol)

Here is solution:
Enable message notifications in the Huawei Health app.
If you are using a phone running Android 13, go to Settings > Apps > Huawei Health > More (in the upper right corner) > Allow restricted settings > Allow, go back to Huawei Health > Notifications, and enable notifications for the Huawei Health app.

Hi all, had anyone information about whether @daniml3 is still supporting this ROM? Thanks
Well, I didn't drop the device. But Arrow's situation is not really clear, even the February security patch was not merged.

So, I can't really guarantee anything, but by my side I haven't dropped the support.

    Hi guys!
I'm glad development for ArrowOS is finally going on again.
A few questions came up regarding updating to 13.1:

    • Is this still maintained by @daniml3 ? The ArrowOS website names "TG_DEVICE_MAINTAINER", which sounds pretty generic.
    • Coming from 13.0, do I need to install a newer firmware when dirty flashing?
    • Will the 13.1 build pass safetynet and keep my banking apps working?
    • Will there be regular OTA updates?
    • As there were different takes on that: @daniml3 do you recommend going from 13.0 to 13.1?

Thank you everyone who might be able to answer my questions.

    Best regards,
    Vince
1- The ROM is maintained my me, yes, i just forgot to include it on the website.
2- 13.1 uses MIUI 14 blobs. You may use older firmwares, but 14 is recommended.
    3- Yes
    4- Yes
    5- I'd recommend upgrading, I think 13.1 is more stable than 13.0.
