So I updated to the release today from an April release, dirty flash. All good but Masgisk wasnt't working.

Uninstalled magisk app and then rebooted into recovery (OrangeFox) and flashed MagiskR.

Now when I reboot into system, its stuck at at the glowing Arrow OS sign at the begining.

I went back into recovery and dirty flashed Arrow again and yet still the same

I thought it would be as easy as:

First flash magiskR then reboot to system.
and again go recovery and flash magisk 21.1
and reboot to system. and enjoy

Any advice please? I really dont want to wipe everything and start over

Scrap that. I'm just wiping everything and doing a clean install. However, could anyone please help with how I get Magisk working properly after a clean install. ? Thanks

Wipe system, vendor and cache partitions from TWRP or OrangeFox, flash ROM zip and then flash the latest Magisk zip file available. You should always download Magisk from its original source, topjohnwu's GitHub ( Link ).

Thanks.

In the meantime, after a clean install, I flashed a MagiskR.zip in recovery. I cant remember where I got the file from but it was on my SDCard already.

After doing so, I check the phone, Magisk Manager is installed (attached). But checking Root Verify, phone isnt rooted.,

I'm not sure on what to do next ? I went down the MasgiskR path but do I just ignore that and proceed to download Magisk.zip from the original source and then flash that in Recovery ?

Definitely download latest official version. I think MagiskR was an early version of magisk that targeted very early AOSP tag

So I have downloaded the latest (Magisk 23), flashed it as a zip in Orangefox and now the app reports this (attached). However the phone is still not rooted (verified using root checker).

What steps am I missing ?

For anyone that has the same issue.

Installing Magisk 23 after a clean install did not give me root. I found that I had to install the Magisj Canary debug version aftrwards and then it works.

In summary, after a clean install:

Download Magisk 23 apk from the official source

Rename the .apk to a .zip file. Boot into recovery and flash.
Boot into the rom, if you find that you have Magisk Manager installed but root does not work
Dowqload the Magisk Canary build - https://github.com/topjohnwu/magisk_files/blob/canary/app-debug.apk
Install the apk from from the rom, it open up Magisk Manager and You will see that App has an update button.
Check from settings in Magisk Manager , Update Channel is set to Canary

Update App option from Magisk Manager home page and reboot

Explaination abit the canary fix can be found here

Just flashed the latest version of arrowos on a redmi note 8t with magisk, the Android firmware thingy and dfe (basically followed all of the installation steps). Everything is working fine, except my downloads. Whenever I download smth from anywhere (such as chrome, or the store) it says that I do not have enough storage (when I obviously do). I flashed everything with my sd card and removed it after setting everything up. I believe that it's the card's fault. Any solutions (except from clean flashing everything again lol)

Where can I find walkthrough to install microG for this rom? May you help me?
    Download F-Droid and install.

Then copy this URL to your phone's clipboard.

Go to F-Droid, then tap on Settings > Repositories > Plus Sign + at the top right corner. Copied URL will automatically assigned to the relevant fields. Of not, add them manually as

    URL - https://microg.org/fdroid/repo
    Fingerprint - 9BD06727E62796C0130EB6DAB39B73157451582CBD138E86C468ACC395D14165

Tap on Add and make sure it's enabled. (Toggle the button to ON)
Go to f-droid home and pull down (Like in browser) to refresh the repositories.

Now, search for these apps on F-Droid and install them one by one.

    1) MicroG Services Core
    2) MicroG Services Framework Proxy
    3) FakeStore

*If any of these apps are not appear in your search results, probably you did not add the microG repository correctly.

After installing all these apps, restart your device. (Not essential but I did)

Now, Find the MicroG Services Core app on your app launcher and open it. Then go to Self Check at the top and make sure all options has tick (done) marks. If not, tap on that option and give permissions and make it done. 🙂

After checking all options, go back to MicroG Services Core app's home screen. Turn on Google device recognition, Cloud Messaging, Google Safety Net if they are off. Login to your google account if you need. It's optional. (It will not give any output if you logged in successfully.

    That's all. 🤘

    Build - September 24th Vanilla
    No root
    No Encryption
    MicroG Installed without Root
No custom kernel (ROM's original kernel)

I have flashed this ROM on last Saturday (It's 6 days now) and so far so good. Followed the exact procedure as the original post says. All files downloaded via the provided links by the developer.

Smooth and great as daily driver. If someone like to give it a try, try it. Recommended. Thank you devs. ❤️

Where can I find walkthrough to install microG for this rom? May you help me?
You can find an installer that does the job in the magisk repo, it's called "microg installer revived". Or you can use nanodroid for example. Cheers

    Hello.

Does anyone use the Zepp app for Amazfit watches on this ROM ?

    I noticed one bug.

If I want to add my own photo to the watch display in the Zeep app, unfortunately it doesn't work :-(

After selecting the picture nothing happens.

On other ROMs, however, after selecting the picture, the editor normally pops up in which I crop the picture according to my preferences and then upload it to the watch.

Can anyone who also uses Amazfit and the Zepp app try this ?

    Thank you very much.

    ArrowOS 11.0

    ABOUT
    ArrowOS
is an AOSP/CAF based open source project started with the aim of keeping things simple, clean and neat, both for the Android system and users. We understand the pain of unnecessary and sometimes rarely used mods/features being shipped with custom roms nowadays which may end up causing battery drains and/or memory leaks & crashes. This is being strictly avoided on our side keeping everything to a bare minimum, delivering stable performance all the time without destroying the AOSP interface. With users getting more used to tweaks and features, we added just the right features and customisations that will be actually USEFUL at the end of the day.
