  • Nearly done! Migration cleanup is mostly done. There are a small number of issues left that we continue to work on, but all the heavy lifting is done. You did not follow the rules. The inactive slot is with stock (version 9) and you're flashing Gapps without changing from the active to (now) inactive slot. To avoid further mess, read carefully and learn. This device is A/B partition squeme.
For instance: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=81577159&postcount=93
Wait, what? Where does it says we have to change slots after flashing this ROM? I must be missing something.

Download the latest build and GApps
Reboot to recovery
Make backup (Not Necessary)
Wipe System, Data, Cache, Dalvik
Flash the latest build and GApps
Reboot
So after flashing the ROM now the recovery always changes to the inactive slot? Or is it a OrangeFox Recovery bug?

In an a/b system phone, like ours, when you boot in recovery you're in the "active" slot.
Then you flash the ROM and automatically you're moved to the (now) "inactive" slot, to keep the 1st intact and with the last system version.
If you try to flash Gapps without rebooting to what was the "inactive" (that became "active" after flashing the ROM), you're tying to flash Gapps to another slot.
