so this sentence is wrong! You did install the latest C208 rom, the B011!
7D-501u_EMUI_2.3_V100R002C233B010
Go back to B011 !

ha yes, maybe the B011_kangvip is ffhlasable on any EMU 3 rom.
and there r another one but in this rom updater exist but there is no local update option;

Huawei_MediaPad_X1_7D-501U_V100R002C208B011_4.4.2
do youhave a source link for this rom ?
i am now on B011 but i didnt find the B011SP05 for 7d-501u.. ,it is exist for 7d-503L..
Great (B011 stock or B011 kangvip?). Unfortunatly I don't have 701u B011SP05, I checked yesterday. Might be very hard to find. I have 703L B011SP05, you can give it a try. But it might be bloched at flahsing coz of model number. I put it ther for you (update file and main rom file):

    [ROM][Official Beta][7D-503L & 7D-501u][Lollipop 5.1.1][EMUI 3.1][C208B011SP05/SP06]

Huawei has officially started its lollipop upgrade program for MediaPad X1 (7D-503L & 7D-501u) by pushing the first OTA updates to beta testers.
If you are not one of them but would still like to give it a swirl, ROM files and update instructions as below.

Flashing method is standard huawei procedures other than u will need to flash 2 files this time round, the first serves to re-partition the internal memory to accommodate lollipop.
The usual 'be careful, do it at your own risks' caveats apply, do take note that everything on the phone's internal memory (the 16GB part) will be wiped, your microSD card will not be affected though.
    Have fun!

    Not working:
    1) Please note MHL (HDMI) function is not available in this ROM, if you require this function, do not update.
    2) Xposed Framework is also a no go on EMUI 3.1 without modding, if u really must try, remember to have the uninstaller (flashable zip) ready in your microSD card, u will need that when you run into a X1 that fails to boot
(Huawei's default per app 320/400 dpi setting is working fine, thus non working Xposed is non consequential if u only need it for this purpose)

    Steps:

    1) Ensure your X1 (501u and 503L) is on the latest official (non-rooted) EMUI 3.0 B011 ROM, if not, kindly update to it

    7D-501u - http://emuirom123.dbankcloud.com/7D-501u_EMUI3.0_Android4.4_V100R002C208B011.zip?rid=1141
    7D-503L - http://emuirom123.dbankcloud.com/7D-503L_EMUI3.0_Android4.4_V100R002C208B011.zip?rid=1142
Clear cache and reset to factory settings before you flash the Beta 5.1.1 below.

    2) Download the 2 necessary ROM files (the smaller 30+MB one is an update for modem / radio / kernel and also for re-partitioning etc; the larger near 1GB file is the ROM proper)

    7D-503L
    http://www.mediafire.com/download/9ea7yb206d869ya/7D-503LV100R002C208B011SP05.zip
    http://www.mediafire.com/download/7o9g94z8c756ijs/7D-503LV100R002C208B011SP05_Main.zip

    7D-501u
    http://www.mediafire.com/download/pfp85guitv71745/7D-501uV100R002C208B011SP06.zip
    http://www.mediafire.com/download/dld8lxrewj288tm/7D-501uV100R002C208B011SP06_Main.zip

    3) At the root of your microSD card, create a folder and name it 'dload', rename the 30+MB file to 'update.zip' and copy that into 'dload' folder
    4) Go to 'Settings', 'Updater', 'Menu' and 'Local update'. Choose the (only) update available and perform the update.
    5) Phone will reboot and update will run, when you see a big tick, eject the microSD card and the phone will reboot again (if it doesn't, simply long press the power button to force shut and restart it).
    6) After the phone has rebooted, re-insert the microSD, navigate to 'dload' folder and erase the update.zip file
    7) Unzip the near 1GB ROM file and copy the update.app file into 'dload' folder
    8) Download unlmt.rar file below and copy the 0 byte cfg file into the dload folder
    9) repeat above steps 4) to 6) (delete update.app instead at step 6)**

** If you are prompted for a PIN code when the phone reboots after a flash, fret not, simply force shut it by long pressing the power button, then enter Recovery by pressing the vol+ & power button simultaneously, and choose to clear cache. The PIN code request will be gone when the phone reboots

Google Play Store and Calendar / Contacts Sync
    10) Your X1 should now be on 5.1.1, download and install the 3 google apk files below to get Play Store and Calendar / Contacts Sync.
(Good news here is the whole google framework already exists in the ROM, therefore there is no need to mess with root to do that)

    Root
To obtain root access on this ROM, use the latest Wondershare MobileGo one click root (Win) program - thanks to jonjong http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=63397619&postcount=34 - to root it.
There is also another 'cleaner' method of flashing custom CWM recovery and then chainfire's update.zip, but this will involve unlocked bootloader and some knowledge or ability to read chinese, will find some time to include a detailed write-up if there is demand for it. For now, you can download the necessary below:

    http://www.mediafire.com/download/i564vr6587r2ma8/X1_5.1.1_Root.rar

Both methods need an unlocked bootloader AFAIK. If u come from B011, the bootloader should already have been unlocked.
If your X1 is 501L, you can unlock your bootloader by flashing the latest B102 ROM (EMUI3.0 / KK 4.4.2 / International / GAPPS) released by Huawei Germany - thanks to super_sonic http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=63420650&postcount=50
    B102 download: http://www.mediafire.com/download/i...iaPad_X1_SDCard_Update_Android_4.4.2_B102.zip

Do note that if you do a factory reset after updating to 5.1.1 or re-flash 5.1.1 within 5.1.1, there is a chance that the bootloader will be re-locked.
    Your mileage may vary.

    Good luck :)

hi artz, sure thing that you will not regret updating your X1 to at least B011 version with EMUI 3.0. I never do. It is very good knowing that 501L is compatible with ROMs intended for 503L. 501L is almost an abandoned variant by Huawei, no further explanation I believe.

Once with B011, I never thought of going back to original EMUI 2.3 ROM. B011 is of 320dpi instead of 400dpi, you'll see "more" with this ROM instead of "bigger", smoother than EMUI 2.3/ less lags, better battery management, no incompatible google play apps except for G+ (it requires root to install G+ on B011, I don't know why).

There are some complaints with B011, though, I for one dislike the weather app as it is unable to detect my locations except for big cities. Different weather provider on B011 is the one to blame for that. Stock Video player sucks, unable to display subtitles.

Sure, Huawei may decide to upgrade 501L somewhere in the future, but probably next year. Even 5.1.1 is right now still on beta phase.

Regarding going back to original 4.4.2 European 501L ROMs, it should not be a problem. I saw posts on Mediapad X1 G+, there's one guy named Ryan Orig posting a guidance on how to do so. You may need to take a look.

That post is very helpful for me because now, us, owners of 501L can flash the 36MB B011SP05 update without bricking our device. This update seems to be essential before upgrading to B110 regardless of your X1 variant. I managed to flash that on my X1, now my X1 feels much smoother than before. Good news is I can still downgrade to B011 when I want to. But I am not gonna do that.

Also, I remember seeing a post somewhere regarding sdcard upgrade warning for huawei phones. Never include once.cfg file on your dload folder containing the update.app when you do local update via sdcard. Only unlmtd.cfg and update.app required when updating/downgrading.

Hope someone with more knowledge can explain more about this once.cfg stuff.

    Thank you,

    I'm running on my Mediapad X1 7D-501L Android 5.1.1 verison 7D-503LV100R008B110

Everything worked flawless from the beginning.

This is they way to do it in 10 steps (and clean)

1.- Factory reset to my 7D-501L
2.- I have downloaded full ROM 7D-503LV100R002C208B011 from here http://emuirom123.dbankcloud.com/7D-503L_EMUI3.0_Android4.4_V100R002C208B011.zip?rid=1142 and installed over 7D-501LV100R002C100B103 (*)
    3.- I installed 7D-503LV100R002C208B011SP05 (small file)
    4.- Factory reset
    5.- I installed 7D-503LV100R002C208B011SP05_Main (large file)
    6.- Factory reset
7.- Installed Google Apps from GoogleApps.zip
8.- I uninstalled / deactivate ALL Chinese applications, games and utilities except 'Beta Club', 'HiVoice', 'Huawei Cloud+' and 'Driving mode' (because it's impossible to uninstall or deactivate them -I placed them in a folder I called 'Huawei'). These applications doesn"t work in Europe, besides they're in Chinese
9.- Launched 'Google Play' for latest updates BUT also to replace Chinese Huawei Swype keyboard for paid iOS7 Keyboard 2.2 (excellent on Huawei P8 and Mediapad X1).
10.- Install and configurate my applications and personal settings.

(*) You need to unzip first dload.zip file and you copy /dload from 7D-503LV100R002C208B011 over /dload from dload.zip. You need to do this to cheat 7D-501L, otherwise you cannot install 7D-503L ROM on it. Once your 7D-501L has a 7D-503L B011 ROM, you will NOT need to use files inside dload.zip again to install 7D-503LV100R002C208B011SP05 and 7D-503LV100R002C208B011SP05_Main

Thanks again to thematrix777 for his help and comments.

EDIT: I have uploaded most recent compatible core Google Apps for Honor/Mediapad X1 here: http://dl.free.fr/bsFpB9RWO (file LatestCoreGoogleAppsForX1.zip will stay one month)

IMPORTANT: For a few Google Apps only Android 4.4.4 versions are accepted. Versions for Android 5.x won't install.

Hi guys, after trying 10+ methods, finally successful rooted my X1 5.1.1 with Wondershare MobileGo one click root.:D

Hi all, I would love to apply this Lollipop update but have questions regarding the installation. Can I check how do you delete the current update and extract the update. zip when there is no OS in the 1st place after repartitioning the phone memory. Is this possible via the EMU I Recovery or do I do it via my PC?

Don't worry, the re-partitioning (by flashing the 30+mb file) will NOT delete the phone's memory, your phone will reboot fine into android OS (B011).
From android OS, access file manager to delete the zip and copy the app file into dload folder.
Just follow the instructions from post #1 carefully and you will have no problem.
