Will do. Does the GNC6 totally fix the call problem, or with that does it happen less ?

Edit: So far, call experience on my side seems "almost" fixed. I've called 3 of my friends. I've only heard minor rustling sound on my side from my friend, and he was hearing his own voice. I had a perfect calling with my 2 other friends.

It went to bad state once, but a simple restart has fixed that issue, too.

I've also made a call after 2 hours of idling with another friend of mine, no issues. I'm satisfied with the modem I can say.

Now, I'll be going out, I may then test the cell and wifi better outside.

Thanks for sharing. Did you install GNC6 or the other modem. As per my experience GNC6 will not fix the issue, but the call quality issue will occur less often with it.

Do you refer about GNC6 or GND1? i have GNC6 and although it's a better experience, it has some minor bugs in the other side... I'll test GND1 and I'll be reporting..

Thank you very much and sorry for my bad english

It was GND1. I've tried GND1 directly.

OK, I can confirm, with using Chinese GND1 modem (I've downloaded from here), I've had bad calls only 2-3 times, and they were all fresh calls right after flashing the modem. I don't know how GNC6 is, but GND1 is pretty good I say.

By the way, when it was a bad call (you can understand from beep sound before the other side responds), decreasing the volume a bit (volume down button) fixed the issue once, so I suggest trying that.

I've made maybe 20 calls in the last 24 hours, only the initial 2-3 calls had issues, it's all good for me now. I've also tried using a headphone / mic combo, crystal clear sound with no echoes at all.

I also don't have any issues regarding the network whatsoever, it's all good and as it should be. I'm currently tethering the mobile network over WiFi to my laptop :)

I've encountered a simple issue by the way, but it occurred only once: After a phone call, mobile data disconnected, but it came back right after, and this didn't happen after every calls, so it's not a big deal for me.

This time, thanks to this GND1 modem, at last, Carbon rom is my current permanent rom :D

I'll update with new posts if I encounter any kind of weirdness.

p.s: I'll now try to make battery life better. Any tricks are appreciated :)

What kernel are you guys using to make battery life better? This one uses gerarCM "BeastMode". I don't want performance but would rather prefer my juice to keep longer before it dries.

Thanks,

After one or two reboots (it varies), every saved network I had gets erased. Which means I need to manually reconnect to every Wifi I go to. Anyone else having this issue? I'm going nuts and I can't find a solution anywhere, I don't know if it's a general Android bug, or a bug specific to this Rom.

Yes this is a known bug in all i9500 KitKat roms thus far. Solution is simple: In WiFi Advanced Settings deselect "Scanning always available".

This should fix it.

This is a close to perfect ROM, but even with this setting, the problem is still there.

Other problems are (I guess I reported weeks ago):
  • Extended desktop isn't working.
  • Can't disable the home button wake.
