Cheers tried that not made any difference.
Also started again, wipe, flash cm13 flash openapps, still the same.

Catlog seemed to suggest it was a permissions issue with gallery 3d.

Any other ideas?
Thanks

Thanks
Just tried openapps full and that failed not enough free space in system.
So am I right on thinking to run this ROM I'll have to be very selective with with gapps I install ?

Any advice ?

I've downloaded opengapps aroura installer and selected what apps I want. That seems to have worked.

May I ask what is the best practice when updating to a new nightly? I backup my data (Titanium or TWRP?), factory reset in TWRP, install the new nightly and then restore the backup? Is that the correct procedure please?

I'm a bit of a noob if you hadn't already guessed! :D

Does anyone know how to use battery mode ? I can't find neither the setting in battery menu like shown in this article :
, nor the associated quick setting tile (both options existed in cm 12.1).
Strange because it seems to be implemented

There are two options. Clean Flash and Dirty Flash. The first one eliminates the possibility of having problems when Dirty Flashing if the new build /nightly has major code changes. Usually people dirty flash one nightly over the previous one without having any issues at all because Clean Flash is time consuming. But when encountering a problem that others do not have with a specific nightly build, then a Clean Flash is required.

Before any kind of TWRP flashing, backup apps with TitaniumBackup.

Clean Flash : advance wipe all partitions except internal storage (!!!!!! do not select this one as it contains all the photos, music, videos and other files u have on the device !!!!!) , then flash the nightly and gapps, reboot and restore apps with TB.

Dirty Flash : flash nightly and gapps, wipe cache and dalvik cache and reboot (all apps and settings are still there) but in some occasions there might be problems with the system.
