IMPORTANT INFO:
-You must be on the VRUAMDK bootloader or you aren't going to be able to use this ROM. I'm sorry =(
(run this in a terminal to find out: getprop ro.bootloader )
-We have de-unified the Galaxy S4 line. This is for the Verizon variant (SCH-I545) only

CyanogenMod is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 5.0.x (Lollipop), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

Code:
#include <std_disclaimer.h>

/*
 * Your warranty is now void.
 *
 * We are not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
 * thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
 * do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
 * before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
 * you point the finger at us for messing up your device, we will laugh at you.
 *
 */
CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. You will need to provide your own Google Applications package (gapps). CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

All the source code for CyanogenMod is available in the CyanogenMod Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to CyanogenMod, please visit our Gerrit Code Review. Your changelog is whatever was merged into gerrit.

We have de-unified the Galaxy S4 line. Too many issues with having them all in one and a maintainer's nightmare. Look for jfltevzw builds now as opposed to the jflte builds you previously used.

The CyanogenMod team would like to thank everyone involved in helping with testing, coding, debugging & documenting! Enjoy!

X2 on the yellowish tint. GPS lock works on dirty flash. I have had random issue with WiFi not auto connecting after extended periods of deep sleep.

Question. CWM has always been the "official CM supported" recovery through CM11. Does this hold true for CM12? On the unofficial builds I would get messages about fixing root upon reboot. The last version I know of is 6.0.5.0. The messages do not appear in TWRP. If CWM is still preferred is the a later version out for the I545? If not then I guess this is another issue to report. I prefer CWM and want to come back to it.

I haven't experienced yellow tint whatsoever with official and euroskanks builds. My only thing is that MMS is wonky. And Bluetooth will shut off WiFi momentarily while trying to connect.

So, that blue light on boot is pretty annoying. On the 1/10 build, it wouldn't go off after boot, or a reboot. I finally had to send myself emails until it triggered a new notification, and clearing the email turned off the light.

That's odd. It's never done that to me before. Always stops once the phone is booted.

Can you please work on fixing the compass?
Pretty sure the Compass hasn't worked on ANY ROM in the last couple of years.. or I am just flashing the wrong ROMs. I think Samsung dropped the ball on this one. But if anyone can fix, it's @invisiblek :D No pressure!!

Is the blue light really that big of a deal when the phone is booting up?? My blue light stops the moment the phone is finished booting. I think this is the least of our problems right now.

Yes, Sammy did drop the ball on the compass. Many devs of third party apps talked about it with the release of 4.4. It was firmware related to the magnetic sensor and has never been truly fixed. It was big news too. There were articles about it on G+, at Andriod Central, and other places, too.

And for the blue led at boot, if it is now borked it should be fixed. Granted it is the least of the issues but it is an issue none the less. File a report at JIRA for the CM12 nightly regressions and be sure to include a logcat. If no one cares about the smaller issues then the bigger ones may seem less important, too. The compass is a good example of this. This report was created for CM11 and is still open today. Many people reported compass issues in the CM11 thread and I linked this jira report in the thread when I created it but very few others added info to it.

https://jira.cyanogenmod.org/plugins/servlet/mobile#issue/NIGHTLIES-258

This thread is a great place, don't get me wrong. It gives us a place to post up and talk about our issues and any workarounds we find. The developers may also visit it from time to time as well but these forums are not their main "go to place" for bug reports. There are too many forums out there. BUT, if you really want to improve the chance of fixing something it should be reported where it will be tracked. Who knows, maybe there is a place over at Sammy where people can report about the compass. I would like to think they are aware of it but.........

I am not saying to flood jira with a bunch of stuff. There are guidelines for how jira works, what it is for, and what to include in a report. Be smart about it and it can benefit everyone. If something is posted to jira and is missing required items, is not in the proper format, or is not kept up with it will be closed so don't think it can be reported and forgotten.

Invisiblek may be the maintainer for the GS4 but he is not assigned every issue for it, especially if the issue affects more than just the SGS4. Some issues go more widespread because of what component of CM they affect.

I'm guessing that the boot led will get fixed as other things get cleaned up, if not I'll open a JIRA ticket.

The annoying part is that I was reading the gerrit discussion on that when it merged, no one thought it was important except for the unique snowflake who submitted it. It doesn't DO anything. Why do you need a blue led when the screen is going through the boot process? It doesn't have a point except to add more complexity.

Pretty much sums it up. Someone thought it would be cool or whatever so it was added. Other than that it really serves no real point, IMHO.

Had the same problem. Try re-writing GPS configuration with app Faster GPS from play store.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.fastergps
Worked for me on two 5.0 Roms
Wow, this would be fatastic. So this fixes it so the compass always points north, when standing still, and reports north to applications that access the magnetic compass sensor? Not sure the magnetic compass is at all related to GPS. GPS provides correct direction in the compass when you are moving, but the magnetic compass has been borked forever when you are standing still.

As expected, no affect whatsoever on the compass.
