Jan 20 build has rebooted on me at least twice in the last couple days.

Both times that I know of I was listening to Ambling book player over bluetooth. One time I was driving and google maps was running also. The other time I was not driving and I was using facebook and the browser (stock not chrome).

This is with the cm kernel, not to let the leankernel discussion confuse things.

The stock rom (mj4? whatever was current official as of 2 weeks ago), rooted and debloated (I know that's a vague term), never did it under the same conditions.

I'm upping to the current nightlty today.

That's the TW kernel, you want lk_hltespr-cm-v1.1
Ah thank you. That one worked.

I know from reading on G+ that noobnl and cyanogen are working on a big update from the international kitkat source and blobs, so hopefully that will cut down on some of the issues after that's merged.

I already am... Haven't had this issue since evo 4g days.
The majority of the time it happens when I use the speaker in the device only. Never when using Bluetooth or headphones.

When I play ingress (which I do often) it garbles shortly after starting the scanner. YouTube has the same issue...but then again those are the only two I use at times without headphones.

It comes and goes.. Not unbearably painful. But it sounds like the system is Either over exerting the speaker or something is happening while the audio is running. With youtube specifically it only does it when I tap the screen or pull down the notification bar, that right there I find odd. When I let it go it works just fine.

This is a far as my rant goes lol. This is bullshevik! I'm sure it will get ironed out. I don't send bug reports because I use ART. But it also happens on Dalvik runtime.

everything has been working great for me. i started with the 1-20-14 build and since then the gps and speakerphone issues have been squashed but i've noticed that my phone occasionally freezes while the screen is turned off. if i press the home or power button the capacitive buttons will light up but the screen will not turn on. the only way i can fix it is to pull the battery.

i think that i might know at least one thing that is causing it - i noticed twice that it happened right after i got a notification(gmail) while my screen was turned off and it froze both times.

i woke up yesterday morning and this was happening and my phone felt like it was on fire. it must've happened while i was sleeping. anyone know what's causing it?
Instead of opening the case and pulling battery hold power for 8 seconds and it reboots just an FYI

I use several audio apps with the speaker and never had any audio problem.

Damn... apparently cyanogenmod recovery backups don't work like they are supposed to...

Do you care to elaborate on this comment? What exactly isn't working like it's supposed to and what recovery are you using?
