this is afaik the op7 variety of derpfest - so get all the details from derpfest website? do share your findings as some of us are using it blissfully ignorant of these crucial questions!
I don't know if you are being sarcastic or really interested in the findings.
Anyway, below is what I understood of what I found:
- Derpfest is based on AOSiP, itself based on AOSP
- AOSP is the Open Source Android, but yet still include somme Google apps and services (and therefore private information collection and transfer to Google).
- AOSP vs Lineage OS : AOSP + third-party drivers and patches + additional features and options – Google apps & services = LineageOS. (source : https://customroms.net/faq/aosp-vs-lineage-base/)
- the Depfest website (https://derpfest.org/) seems ooo and is not mentionned in the presentation post.
- what makes me perplex is the 1st statement of that post : "Derpfest is heavily moded stock android" : Stock android to me refers to the "stock rom" of the phone, which is OOS. Maybe they mean AOSP... But explicitly would make it clearer.

Hi, I installed this ROM, running some tests.
it came quite loaded with google stuff, I debloated a little.
It seems google apps are authorized for "everything"' (location, etc), and do not allow through the HMI to remove those authorizations.
I will test with pm tool to clean them also.

would you have script to share to let us follow your debloat scheme? or even suggest to dev for inclusion?

c/c ed below what I did.
looking at all the permissions the different google packages (google play, google services, etc) allow themselves with no way found to revoke those ones, I fear too much for my privacy and will roll back to the resurrection remix I was using.
Google is going the Apple way to me : preventing others to access users private data, but allowing themselves always more

flashed 0410 build but used new twrp which showed blank screen when rebooting, same with (was on on 0319 derpfest build which worked)

is it A11 blobs in 0410 build that caused the conflict (as twrp does not support a11)?

EDIT: flashed dumped boot.img and twrp issue goes away (0410 uses lineage recovery). suggest updating without the 'flash twrp' line - i have not tried so confirmations welcome

This is an alpha build still in testing phase so you may face any minor/major bug. It will be stable time to time. I hope you will understand.

    About Derpfest
Derpfest is heavily moded stock android. still work in progress but enough stable for daily use.
    How To Install:

+ if you are coming from android 10 (OOS or any custom rom) then you will need to wipe your data as well as internal storage due to encrypted data but if you had any custom ROM (Android 11) before then just wipe data(Sometimes dirtyflash works, But don't complaint any bug if you did so. You might face FC for some apps.). No need to wipe internal storage.

    1: Flash ROM
2: Flash TWRP installer (TWRP not included)
3: reboot again to recovery to boot from second slot.
    5: Flash magisk (Android11-V2)
6: wipe dalvik cache and reboot to system.
    That's all.

Looks like it is more a stable than an alpha. It can be used as daily driver. Bugs I've found so far:
    - autobrightness sometimes go crazy and go up and down without reason (same as other custom roms)
    - aod drains a lot of battery (10-15% overnight) (same as other custom roms). Without aod the battery is very good, almost like stock OOS.
    - ''ok google'' hotword not working when the screen is off (same as other custom roms). I managed to get it work by transfering some files from the stock OOS and changing some lines in the build.prop, but it did not persist after a reboot and now I cannot make it working again. @Ab.Shaheen would you please look into this issue? Other devs seems not to care much but imho is an important feature.
Sure will see that, but 1st i want to make sure rom is enough stable to add other things, ROM is going to be official, there will be new official releases probably tomorrow or after tomorrow with more bug fixes. Once it will be good for daily driver, I'll add these things.

    1: Initial release (For testing.)
    2: Alert slider not working.

1: Removed snap cam and replaced with OnePus camera.
2: Added alert slider support (Little buggy but will be fixed)

    4: Added built-in Oneplus camera.
5: Fixed Safetynet CTS profile fail.
6: Fixed digital wired handsfree bug. (Detecting handsfree as charger.)
5: Other minor fixes and improvents.

    1: Using latest TWRP prebuilt.
    2: switched to userdebug build.
3: Imroved OP Camera workout. (Need to wipe cache > clear OP app data > Reboot, for dirty flash)
    4: Fixed HBM(High Brightness mode)
