I use an app called earnin and it just loads the splash screen and crashes. I rooted and tried to do the normal root detection/unlocked bootloader detection BS and it still crashed. It happened even with out root. Any ideas?

Do you pass SafetyNet? If not, some financial apps will refuse to load / appear as if they are crashing. And I feel like I recall hearing that bypassing SafetyNet, in general, is broken currently (on many or even all devices)? So there might not even be much you can do.
The earnin app worked on the OnePlus stock rom?

Got it to install and boot. Used a different Gapps package and it works. Got an error with Android auto. Any ideas?View attachment 5671159

I remember reading somewhere that Android Auto only works with bootloader-locked devices. Something within it can detect the unlocked bootloader.. like how streaming services do, etc.

For those who are still wanting to install this on the DE2118, go ahead and use the guide posted here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...astboot-enhance-gui-tool-for-dummies.4485763/ to convert to the DE2117. It is important to do this, as in my testing, the DE2118 firmware is no longer working for Lineage OS.

O'rly? I flashed the latest Lineage build on top of the last OOS 11 DE2118 firmware a couple days ago, and it's worked perfectly fine for me. I suppose converting wouldn't be a bad idea since carrier models technically aren't officially supposed, but it doesn't seem to be necessary.

Step 1: Downgrade to the 11.0.1.7 build with the MSM tool. Find it on the OnePlus community server
Step 2: Install the first "Android 12" update in Settings. It's a little over 100 MB and is an update to the last version of Oxygen 11.
Step 3: Unlock the bootloader
Step 4: Install Lineage using the official instructions, starting from the "Ensuring all firmware partitions are consistent" section

I have a working Lineage 12 ROM on my N200 5G...but has anyone figured out if it is possible to install an older (and faster) ROM? This wimpy cpu can't do much but I bet it would run great on Android 6 or 7...

Just need to confirm. I pay PUBG on this ROM and there is a slight lag/delay in sound output, like for 0.5 sec. Is there a workaround or should I wait for the fix? Videos and music work fine though.

Warning: LiveDisplay Anti flicker causes screen to go black

A user posted a bug report here: https://gitlab.com/LineageOS/issues/android/-/issues/5526 :

"Enabling "Settings -> Display -> LiveDisplay -> Anti Flicker" causes screen to go black if the device is in low light. It is difficult to disable after enabling without a functioning display."

Is anyone else having an issue with videos slowing down and stuttering with the 2/15 update?

This is my favorite device now, so far. Nice work, Lineage Team! Minimal problems if any so far. Viper4Android? Flawless. Tinymix? Check. Biga** Sony earbuds and heavy sub bass? Check.

I'm suprised I have not found a smoother ROM on a device once I got the flashing chain flow down. Definitely a keeper, so far.

A warning... don't enable the Ambient display Always on setting. It caused digitizer/screen input to be ignored or broken. I had to force a reboot of my device over ADB and then was able to unlock the screen and disable it during boot. This is probably similar to the LiveDisplay bug.

Has anyone else managed to break screen auto rotation? I'm not sure how I did it, but my auto-rotation is no longer working.

The sensor is functional and I can see it changing/reporting with an app that directly reads the sensor output, but something broke auto-rotation in the OS.

It's not a setting issue. The system is correctly set to auto-rotate.

I was restoring apps from backups and doing other basic system setup things with my device. I think one of these things broke it. It was working before.

I have one app which manually sets the rotation to 90 degrees when it runs. When I quit the app the screen stays rotated forever unless I manually go into settings and disable/re-enable auto rotation under Accessiblity, System controls, Auto-rotate screen. Doing that puts the rotation back to 0, but it still doesn't auto-rotate.

I may have to wipe, start over, and test as I'm restoring and setting things up.

Logcat doesn't seem to show anything interesting going on.

Whatever this was, doing an in-place upgrade to the 20230301 release fixed it. This might have been a regression in the LineageOS version I was using.
