Which .zip did you use, did it fix safetynet and do you need to do the installation every time, when you update to a new build?

Edit: I didn't extracted a fingerprint on OxygenOS. Could I still do it on LineageOS or is there a need, if I just use the PowerShell script?

But u have to execute also this "adb enable-verity" at the end. Without this u will get a bootloop after updating nightlies.

Did you get your own fingerprint? The only other instruction I found was this one and there he said, you have to get you own fingerprint while being on OOS.

No. I put only this files in my ADB folder and process the steps, which i linked below.

Quick update: today I observed multiple occasions where it popped up upon *sending sms*. Pulling down status bar it again says something about phone services.

Thanks mate I looked also on the file for the 6T and used the same scheme for your file (just line 2 was a bit different). Result:

Edit: But now the platform security level is shown as "a few months old" and I guess the ih8sn version, which was recommended in the 6T Thread was ih8sn for v7a. If somebody also wants to use it, you probably should use the "correct" version of it.

We are overriding the security patch level to Nov 2021(the last official OOS security patch) using ih8sn to pass SafetyNet.
You can ignore it, under the hood it's running may security patch.

Thanks for clarification. I like to "polish" things up as good as I can and Safetynet was the one missing thing for me on LineageOS. Widevine can't be tricked (as I know) and video stabilisation isn't good (compared to OxygenOS) on every other Custom ROM too. So I think my experience is as good as it gets on a custom ROM. With the superior transparency of LineageOS and the great security update support I now feel like I'm done with my phone diggings, at least until a new LineageOS version comes out

And btw.: I couldn't hold myself and just overwrote the arm-v7a version of ih8sn with the aarch64 version, just for the state of mind

My conclusion for the moment is: if my phone is rooted with Magisk I need to go for modules like USNF, while ih8sn is basically meant for unrooted phones that need to pass SafetyNet etc. In other words: there's not much use in messing with ih8sn while my phone is rooted through Magisk. Correct assumption, or did I lose it on the way?

That's how I understood it too. In my case I didn't needed root access, but wanted all apps in the Play Store to be available.

Can't Do that as It's Proprietary File..

You can try installing APK though.. Not sure if anything is broken..

Try multiple APK's & test them all..

I installed the latest nightly.

I got a fingerprint failure very soon after installing it. I have rebooted, and it is ok for now. We'll see.

But I have another big bug : i have no notification icons in the notification bar. I can see my notification on the lockscreen (privately), but once unlocked, the notification bar is empty (clock, and status is there) I'm dumb, it was a silent channel.

While I'm talking about the status bar, once pulled down, the battery indication doesn't stay circle, it shows a rectangle battery indicator, and cutting the SOT text.

I can partly copy that. I do not use hotspot very often, but last week my hotspot completely crashed, too, and I had to reboot the phone in order to get it to work again. I could not even open hotspot settings anymore.

Does anyone else always get the location privacy indicator whenever they unlock their phone on the new build, even if the location is turned off?
The icon in the upper right corner I'm referring to:

New note on the location indicator "issue": installed latest build (20220531) yesterday, after that I "feel" that the behaviour changed slightly:
a) upon unlock / screen On notification still is showing every time, but I think that it is showing less often in between. Not really sure, though
b) upon unlock / screen on the notification now sometimes (not always) says that location is used by both phone services AND bluetooth, see new screenshot. With earlier builds I never saw the Bluetooth line;

Just a wild guess: I start wondering if this is really an issue. Could it be that we always had this behaviour but only recently TRUST started to show the indicator?

I don't use hotspot, so I can't confirm that issue. The only thing I've noticed was the bit buggy lockscreen, after a restart. Accept that everything works fine with my daily usage.

having a weird padding (?) issue when first booting. It shows this screen everytime the phone boots up. Looks like settings menu is pulled down by default without showing the settings though. its weird. i dont know what causes this and how to get rid off it.

Everything is functional though, you can just swipe and unlock etc. Its just very irritating to look at this after booting.

Today I had a random reboot for the first time ever. No idea what triggered it. I tried to grab the logs as descrived in the first post, but /sys/fs/pstore is void. Anything I can do?
