I have been going in circles trying to get lineageos 17.1 to install and run on a T-Mobile Oneplus 6T that was converted to use the international rom. Has anybody gotten this to work that could give me a little guidance?

What step are you stuck on?
I think I finally got it figured out. I was trying to use the steps with lineage recovery on the lineage site but the recovery kept getting overridden and i would get stuck in a fastboot loop. I stumbled across this guide which went much better. I think the multiple installs of both TWRP and LOS were what was missing. I did manage to get it to install once before finding this guide using TWRP but then the modem wouldn't work. Finally figured out I had to get OOS on the latest version before starting.

Hello,
First of all thanks a lot for the work on this rom.

I am experiencing problems with the fingerprint scanner:
After a successful register of a fingerprint, it is not recognized while reading.
Sometimes this works temporarily right after the fingerprint has been saved, but this is no longer the case after a reboot.

Clarification: fingerprint scanner works well with OxygenOS.

Anyone else encounter this problem?

I've noticed that OnePlus 5's and 8's are getting LOS18.1 , but 6T is not listed and there hasn't been a new build in over a week. Don't tell me this model is getting abandoned. I haven't even owned it a year! Any news to alleviate anxiety would be appreciated.

I think the developer is waiting for the official OOS11 release to use the updated device sources. Have no idea about the latest 17.1 builds (if that's what you meant).

I wonder why 5's are already officially supported then. Surely OnePlus didn't roll out 11 for 5's before 6's, did they? I'm actually perfectly content to remain on LOS17.1 for as long as there will be security patches provided. As long as it's one or the other and not total abandonment, then no complaints.

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 10, which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

    Instructions :
    • Download the latest build and gapps
    • Boot to recovery
    • Flash the latest build
    • Boot to recovery again
    • Flash gapps
    • Reboot

    • DO NOT Report bugs if you're running a custom kernel or you installed Xposed
    • Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
    • If it is a random reboot, grab /proc/last_kmsg. (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
    • If the problem disappears after running "setenforce 0" from a root shell, grab /data/misc/audit/audit.log
Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. Please also do not report known issues. Any bug not reported in the bug report format below may be ignored.

So lineage 17 is dead on the 6T I see. Unanswered questions, Dev fled the coupe. Sad

As if there was a point in answering "- same problem during installation as 30 other people in before -", "does verizon work?" or "android auto no work what do?".

I sometimes show up here whenever there's something actually worth replying to.
    FYI the last time I did that was back when @Ducter had crashdump issues after booting ANY recovery. I silently fixed that on jan 8, 2020 and no one even said a word ;-;

I've got good progress on the 10.0 GApps package, so expect a test build soon.
