Hey guys, been a while since I have been active on xda, and have not been messing around that much with my phones. But thinking of updating my 6T. Last time I installed a Rom was on one of my Samsung Tablets, running a lineage Rom on it. All good, but my bank app would not work. It just came up with "your phone is rooted" blablabla.....so the app would not open up. So what´s the score in here, in relation to banking apps? will they work if i choose to root or not? Anybody having any experience with this? If so, would appreciate some feedback before rooting, and then have to reverse to stock.
Thanks in advance.
Try crdroid, banking app work normal out of the box 👍🏻

What happens to me flash update zip > followed with twrp > then reboot to recovery only to find data encrypted. the twrp is unable to decrypt data after dirty flashing update on my op6t.
I thought It could be necessary to remove PIN/encryption before update but no luck.

I don't know man what is going on with my op6t but when clean flashing, twrp works and LOS works great.

Sorry a little confused by the description here, Does this have GApps installed or not?

"It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts."

My team wants to test our app on a phone without andy google integration to make sure it runs without it, if this rom does in fact have google services can anyone suggest and link to one that doesnt?

LOS does not include google services. I was under the impression that most if not all the community AOSP ROMs do not. If you don't add gapps when you first flash the LOS ROM, you won't have it at all. Pure android so to speak. You should be good for your testing.

Alternative: you can flash the ih8sn zip file via recovery but only with the kona release of @althafvly.

See here ... https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/rom-official-hotdogb-12-lineageos-19.4509251/post-87666693

Note: Run 'adb enable-verity' is not necessary in this case.

Since I always had bootloops when using the built in updater to flash OTAs, I just started from scratch using the latest build of 17.11 and this time with NikGapps, hopefully the OTAs will work fine this time around, any recommendations though!

The new OTA update rotates for me.

Update -> install -> restart -> search for update -> the update starts again from the beginning.

Hi guys. I have a problem with the fingerprint reader. I am running microg (19-20221204-microG-fajita) which is build on lineageos 19.1. Here are the symptoms.
  1. After each OTA update and after each restart, fingerprint simply stops to work, so I need to use PIN instead to unlock the phone. And I need to delete the actual fingerprint (as it simply stops to work) and add a new fingerprint.
  2. When adding a new fingerprint, first 4 readings (I mean while adding it) go OK. Then on 5th, it stops to recognize my finger, need to wait approximately 10 seconds (I can keep touching the reader or just wait, doesn't matter) and then it starts to be responsive again and I am able to finish the addition of a new fingerprint. This is consistent, happens each time when I am adding a new fingerprint.
  3. After adding a new fingerprint, in 99% of times, I cannot use it as the phone does not recognize my freshly added fingerprint.
  4. This last comment is pretty tricky. After some time (seems random, cannot tell what it depends on) and only some times, it simply starts to work. When it starts to work, it keeps working consistently until the next OTA or restart.
Tried to google, tried to asked for a help in a kind of similar bug report (https://gitlab.com/LineageOS/issues/android/-/issues/4642). No luck. Can you direct me, what the issue could be?

While I can't help you solve the problem, I would recommend using pattern unlock over fingerprint. Someone can knock you unconscious and use your finger to unlock your phone, change the code, and walk away with your phone entirely in their hands. Then they can password reset anything (assuming your phone also gets your email). Biometric security is a misnomer. Face, finger, retinal scan, blood, urine sample -- none of this is security.

Anyone experiencing issues after updating from LOS 18->19 with network data not working?

Currently on Mint Mobile, and before update - data worked just fine. Phone claims it's on LTE, but there's no data connection for when you attempt to use Chrome, make a WiFi call, or use google maps etc...

So as of right now, the phone only "fully" works while on a WiFi network. APN hasn't changed and is configured correctly, so I'm honestly really stumped why network data worked fine before the update - and not so much after...

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 12, which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

    Instructions:

    Reporting Bugs
    • DO NOT Report bugs if you're running a custom kernel or you installed Xposed
    • Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
    • If it is a random reboot, grab /sys/fs/pstore/console-ramoops and /sys/fs/pstore/dmesg-ramoops-0. (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
    • If the problem disappears after running "setenforce 0" from a root shell, grab /data/misc/audit/audit.log
Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. Please also do not report known issues. Any bug not reported in the bug report format below may be ignored.

    and is stuck
Try right click push-OP6T-devices.ps1 (with ih8sn.conf see attached files) and choose run with PowerShell (for Windows : https://aka.ms/powershell-release?tag=stable). It worked for me (safetynet passes and OTA updates work).

EDIT (06/06): After the first reboot, do not forget to clear storage of Google, Google Play service and Google Play Store apps ... and then restart your device ... in order to get Play Protect certification.

That much I am not sure, I can't seem to find any way to upgrade it here on the forum. In the past, on my previous phones I remember it would just not let me install newer software if the firmware was too out of date, but it now doesn't seem to have that safety. Could you point me in the right direction? I appreciate it
Follow the official firmware upgrade guide. You can download the necessary files from here, so you don't have to extract them yourself.

Today release fixed the constant notification of phone services accessing the location.
