Note:

1. Due to the FlymeOS for Mi 6 is based on Android 7.1 adaptation, you must ensure that the underlying Android OS is 7.1, for those who has been upgraded to 8.0 you need to downgrade to 7.1 before you can flash FlymeOS for Mi 6, Go to the Downloads for the required firmware.
2. Unlocked bootloader is required then boot into TWRP Recovery.
3. Back up important data, to avoid data loss caused by unknown problems during flashing.

TWRP Tutorial:

1. Put FlymeOS ROM Package into the phone root directory, do not decompress.
2. Shutdown, and then press Volume + power button to enter Recovery mode.
3. Click "Clear", then slide to confirm the factory reset (I do not recommend the so-called four clear .... do not know who teaches you)
4. Back to the home page, click "Install" To flash into the system, sliding confirmation to start flashing.
5. Restart the phone (if you need ROOT then follow step 4, select SuperSU card flash into the system and then restart).

2-3 minutes for the first boot, please be patient . If long time (more than 10 minutes) doesn't boot, restart to the Recovery formatted data partition, Method: Recovery click Clear - Format Data partition, enter yes to confirm, after completed, return to the Recovery home page, click restart - After entering the Recovery again, connect the computer, copy the Flyme ROM package to the phone, and then follow Step 4 of the tutorial, select the Flyme package, flash and then restart the phone. Note: formatted data partition will be built-in storage of all files cleared, so if you want to do this operation, be sure to do a good job in data backup.

Precautions:

• If your phone has Root, will only check to the full package update, update will not lose data, will only lose root privileges, please rest assured upgrade!
• Do not modify the system files, if you have to change the system files, the OTA upgrade may result in failure, this case can only brush the entire package to upgrade!

Looks more like a miui theme than a ROM. Just a bit more deep.

Because if he is using miui as base then there are only so many things he can actually change.

I wonder you will find the system launcher APK name also miui system in this rom zip. I haven't downloaded so can't check.

Pretty sure it's just that Flyme looks almost the same as miui.

Well there is a major "bug" or maybe it's rather a feature ...it's mostly in CHINESE!!!!!
And it can't find my location. And no Google service or apps..you need to download them by yourself.
I like this flyme os very much, it's sad that it's not translated fully. Overall everything is very very good. Fingerprint very fast and correct. Camera is original miui camera. The OS looks and feels very stable and good. Hope to find some way to get rid of all the Chinese apps and translate all this to English.

Flyme is the official rom of Meizu,and Meizu is a Chinese company.Those apps are usually not translate to English.

USB Tethering seems to be so slow, frequently disconnect.
Video Playback from web pages makes the browsers close.

The rom is good but the multitasking like things are bugged. What I mean is when I open my vpn app (psiphon) it runs nicely but when I open it from the recents it restarts and stops vpn service.. Then when in recents you can't get out of it easily by pressing the home button that annoys me much
