Hello guys, I've been using LineageOS for almost 2 years now, the ROM is perfect, no bloatware, no lags, but there's one issue only, the phone randomly reboots on its own, sometimes. Mostly this happens when I'm walking and I grab my phone out for a second from my pocket, or it happens when i turn off Wifi option.
Anyone else having such similar issues? please let me know.

I'm using LOS on 3 different phones. Different manufacturers. I haven't seen any of such issues

With AOSP keyboard is it normal that I don't Have Voice typing? The mic icon is there on the keyboard, just not functional. Across the system settings, including the keyboard settings, there are no voice typing related items.

It's a known issue -- try to activate airplane mode when the signal is really bad, even just for one sim.

It takes over 10 seconds for the filtering to take effect when e.g. 'Documents' top button is selected.

The worst thing is this app is the default system-wide file picker and I'm afraid there might be situations where this bug affects some tasks.

Filtering files that are already loaded in a list was instant in 1999 from a 5400 2 GB HDD, with a 0.4 GHz CPU. So, yeah... Besides, Google Files and Total Commander work as intended.

I have just flashed the latest nightly LOS 18.1 on to a RN8 and most things appear to be working except that the display goes blank for 1 second every 5 seconds. Repeated the procedure including flashing the latest EU firmware several times with the same result.
Has anyone else had this issue and what is the likely cause?

I asked in tg group of developer. He didn't know but someone else answered. It seems that these builds are prepared (semi-)automatically.

As I understood from the tg group, at least DarkJoker360 doesn't aim to develop higher LOS versions for our phones. But he already developed e. g. CrDroid 9.0 for our phones which is A13.

Yes, I konw. But only with Lineage OS I have all thinks/apks working with any issue. For example android auto. I have Mazda CX-5 and android auto with this car working only with Lineage OS. If some one have another working android rom please let me know.

You are right but the olderone will be replacet with newone and you can use the olderone till the day the newone will be free of bugs or the bugs which are for you not acceptable and the applications you use do not work

But is it true that I don´t know if new version android will bring any benefit for our device so...

It sounds so easy, and - in fact - I had this rom installed pretty recently, then tried another rom - with disastrous results... bricked my RN8T but after many tries, was able to revive the phone with EDL (test points method) and QFIL. Meanwhile, I had bought a Redmi Note 11 as replacement (and placed my sim-card ex-RN8T into my new phone).
Well, I thought, now I'm going to use my old RN8T to try LineageOS 18.1 more specifically. Tried to install again, but this time the installation went wrong. All looked well until reboot: the animated LineageOS showed all right, but then the phone restarted again. And this repeated continuously.
I now have a question, because - in my opinion - thit is the only difference with the earlier installation when all went all right: does it make a difference whether a sim-card is placed or not?
With an older phone, some years ago, I was used to use TWRP to install the ROMs, having placed
the relevant zip-files on the phone beforehand. But this no longer appears to work, because - after wiping - everything on the phone seems encrypted (or has been decrypted after having been encrypted before the wiping). Therefore, I have to revert to flashing through adb sideload. And then something like "system destroyed" occurs. In other words, I'm doing something wrong. Is there somewhere a guide to install custom ROMs, writting in a somewhat more detailed way? Its sounds so easy: "flash recovery", "flash firmware", "flash ROM" etc., but in practice I ran into a bricked device. Happily, I've been able to bring back my RN8T to life so far, but it's a time-consuming process anyway. Still I would like to try a custom ROM, mostly for reasons of security. The RN8T will no longer receive updates; date of the last security patch is 1-5-2022. I woukl like to extend the life of the phone a few more years.
