[ROM][OFFICIAL][ginkgo][11] LineageOS 18.1 for Redmi Note 8 / 8T

Today I noticed on Settings->System->Updater that my Redmi Note 8 on LineageOS 18.1 hasn't updated since 1 March 2022. When I press the Refresh button, I get the following message: 'Update check failed. Please, check your internet connection and try again later.'

Is there a simple way to fix this?

Have you configured the prefs accordingly?

The 'Auto updates check' in Preferences was set at 'once a week'. I've now put it at 'once a day' and 'delete updates when installed'.

Do you mean, the phone stays black/out? I have the same. I can take the call bei pushing Volume -.
Display keeps black. After the call I press the Power-Button an I hear a signal, after this I can open the phone with fingerprint.

This is nornal dialer behaviour. I have used los 18.1 on 3 different devices for like 2 years, so I know. It happens to look cool you may say.

Yes, I used and yes the UI lags. Not too much but if you have used other a11 roms like arrow then you would know what I am talking about.

I had installed mindthegapps as recommended on official los site.

... otherwise I'd have recommended this to you since the Dev recommends that package. I run it w/o any gapps package.

Sounds good, now i switch to LineageOS-18, why? I use Arrow before and cringe with lags here, there.

Only one, my Calendar google account doesnt sync to Calendar app. First i use Google Calendar, then account is here but not sync again after remove google calendar.


Using latest build, btw.
