As for Netflix, you don't pass Safetynet on this ROM at start. If you are rooted, use two modules - MagiskHide Props Config (and you have to pick certified fingerprint) and Universal SafetyNet Fix (will force basic attestation). Both modules available on Github. Then reboot, clear Play Store data and check
Or just skip all this nonsense and install Netflix apk from apkmirror.

ah ok seems similar to the workaround for Netflix HD or would i also get HD with apk from apkmirror?

and the sound? Is that a driver issue?
not allowed to use the stock stuff or just not possible?

Hello, I installed LOS 19.1 last week together with MindTheGApps via adb and also Magisk (ZIP via adb).
I do have addon.d scripts for lineage, gapps and magisk in the corresponding folder but the following OTA did not reinstall Magisk.

What could be the reason or should I install TWRP and install OTAs and Magisk from there?

Hello, rogers11.
As in , You have to "(Optionally): If you want to install any add-ons, click Apply Update, then Apply from ADB, then adb sideload /path/to/zip those packages in sequence".
Updater app doesn't work with TWRP, works only with LOS Recovery IMHO, AFAIK etc 😜

So, update by update to revive Magisk one must use ”Apply Update, then Apply from ADB, then adb sideload /path/to/zip" IMHO, AFAIK etc 😜
May be some other release/patch for Magisk exist...

Thanks, but these are the instructions to upgrade to a higher version of LOS. I'm already at 19.1.

Hello,
First of all thank you for your work on this device.
I've recently updated my tablet from LineageOS 18.1 to 19.1 (I followed the instructions there https://wiki.lineageos.org/devices/gts4lvwifi/upgrade) but I've been having issues with the AOSP keyboard.
Sometimes it works but most of the time it just shows a big black rectangle instead of the keyboard.
Since the fingerprint detector is not very reliable, there are times when I cannot even unlock the tablet.
Other keyboards work fine but I've really gotten used to the AOSP layout and would like to keep using it if possible.

Here is the logcat.

I've cleared the cache of the AOSP Keyboard but the issue persists.

Also, is everything supposed to look "brown" like on the following screenshot?
I've seen other screenshots of LineageOS 19 and it seems to me the colors are a little off on my device.
Photos and movies look fine, it's just the system UI that has that weird tint.
I've made sure night light is disabled but maybe I'm imagining it?

Thanks!

Regarding keyboard: Did you add a second language to the keyboard? I get the same problems in this case

Thanks for your reply!
Yes as a matter of fact I do have two languages. I've just tried disabling one. At first it did nothing. I rebooted the device and the keyboard worked just once to unlock the tablet but it stopped working immediately after :(

Languages is set to system language now? Also check if "divided keyboard" is unchecked. Don't know the real translation.
Don't know more to help.

So I've tried with two system languages, but only one keyboard layout enabled manually, didn't work.
I've also tried with only one system language and 'use system languages' but it didn't work either.
"Split keyboard" is disabled.
When the keyboard works going to the special characters page has a very high chance of crashing it and it doesn't work anymore after that, until I reboot the tablet.
Thanks for the help anyway!

I do habe exactly the same issue on gts4lvwifi. Trier all the mentioned proposals but none worked so far reliably...

I had the same issue with AOSP Keyboard and I started to use OpenBoard for the time being. It is a fork of AOSP, looks the same, and also has some neat features like spacebar trackpad and additional dictionaries. Its source is on github, so I'm guessing it can be trusted.

Same keyboard issue here too. It seams to work okay in some apps and not okay in others. Often times, the keyboard will open okay but if I select the number pad I get the black screen. I'm wondering if it might have something to do with the way the app handles the keyboard and not the keyboard being the problem. I just upgraded my phone and there are no issues with the keyboard.

Thank you for your suggestion! It's a great workaround until the keyboard is fixed.

Regarding my second issue about the weird UI tint, is it really supposed to look brown like that?
If so, is there any way to change the color scheme to something less... ugly ?

It depends on the background. Try another one with a different colour.
Wow thanks you're right!
I would never have guessed that, what a weird "feature" I must say.
I've changed the background and it looks much better now, but I don't suppose there is a way to keep the colors independent of the background?

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 12, which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project, with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS GitHub organization. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit our Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the changelog for a full list of changes & features.

    Instructions :
    Downloads :
    Reporting Bugs
    • DO NOT Report bugs if you're running a custom kernel, or you installed Xposed
    • Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
    • If it is a random reboot, grab /sys/fs/pstore/console-ramoops and /sys/fs/pstore/dmesg-ramoops-0. (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. Please also do not report known issues. Any bug not reported in the bug report format below may be ignored.

    Code:
    What is your--
    LineageOS version:
    LineageOS Download url:
    Gapps version:

    Did you--
    wipe:
    restore with titanium backup:
    reboot after having the issue:

    Are you using--
    a task killer:
    a non-stock kernel:
    other modifications:

Provide any additional information (observations/frequency of problem/last version it worked on/etc) as needed:

Next build should also have a taskbar toggle here, hopefully that makes people cry less...

All this talk of Android 13 and Lineage 20.

Has anyone managed to breathe deeply and clear their mind and meditate on the fact that Android 12 and Lineage 19x are a retrograde step from Android 11 Lineage 18x ?

For my money I would have preferred that Android 12 never saw the light of day. Bad interface. Bad battery. No actual benefits.

And if Android 13 is more of the same, then Thanks but No Thanks.

I can hear the clarion call already from the We Must Have Updates brigade -

"Update or we will withhold all security updates, and might even hound you to the ends of the Earth".

To the right-thinking brethren amongst us, let your united call be a sane orison -

    "Progress, not Regress. Enough Already".
    * yawn *
