Bluetooth keyboard still doesn't work. I reinstalled LineageOS, this time without microG. In page 10 I already reported this issue, but at that time I was using LineageOS for microG

Bluetooth pairing works, but in the language settings it is not recognized as a physical keyboard.

What is your--
LineageOS version: lineage-20.0-20230527-nightly-gts4lv-signed.zip
LineageOS Download url: https://mirrorbits.lineageos.org/fu...neage-20.0-20230527-nightly-gts4lv-signed.zip
Gapps version: no Gapps installed

Did you--
wipe: yes
restore with titanium backup: no
reboot after having the issue: yes

Are you using--
a task killer: no
a non-stock kernel: no
other modifications: no

Provide any additional information (observations/frequency of problem/last version it worked on/etc) as needed:
The bluetooth keyboard came with a cover from SonnyGoldTech. It is recognized as MQ-keyboard. Pairing works.

But in the settings - system - languages and input there is no physical keyboard recognized.

I also tried the keyboard with my SGS10+ with LOS 19.1 and with my Pixel 4a with CalyxOS. In both phones it worked as it should. But I purchased the keyboard for the tablet. And yes, I always unpaired the keyboard after trying it with my phones.

I created a logcat file from the Android Studio. I filtered the log for com.android.bluetooth. You can find my keyboard with the bluetooth device ID "DD:77:54:9D:5C:47" and with the name MQ-keyboard.

What instructions are you using? Going from memory CP is a modem file (IIRC)? Which model do you have? None of my Factory ROMs ( Android, 9, 10, and 11, which I have successfully used) have a CP file either (normal, mine is a wifi model). I believe only the LTE models will have the CP file.

You will only use the AP, BL, and CSC file (not the HOME CSC file). Don't place the CSC file in the CP box.
Can't for the life of me restore stock firmware. I've done this countless times over the years with all manner of Samsungs, but this is perplexing. I got it to restore a couple of months ago, but went back to give LineageOS another try. Now I want to restore it to sell it off, but this time no go. Perhaps a different computer/cable combo will do it.

Hi, I been flashing for a while also. I ran into the same issue, I found by unzipping the file and adding the csc, ap , and the bl filles separately it flashed back to stock fine. Hope this helps.

Any hint how to pass safetynet with this rom?
I can't get it work on lineage-20.0-20230605-microG-gts4lv.zip with magisk 25.2 stable .. even the basic integrity check fails :(
I would appreciate the exact magisk version as well as the versions of safetynet-fix and/or MagiskHidePropsConf .. ;-)

btw: thanks for the rom @LuK1337, very good work (y)(y)(y)

Well, I can answer the question by myself :

The only working config for passing the safetynet checks (baisc and cts profile) with lineage-20.0-20230605-microG-gts4lv is:
  • microG 0.2.27 (included in the rom)
  • magisk 26.1
  • universal safetynet-fix 2.3.1-MOD3 module
To whom it may concern .. ;)

Bluetooth keyboard still doesn't work.
It looks like there are some changes with bluetooth for the upcoming nightly release . As I don't have technical insight into bluetooth, I just hope the bluetooth keyboard issue gets resolved by this change. I'll keep you updated if it helped, as long as the release is before Saturday. Otherwise I can only test it after next week.

Still no fixes for keyboard issue.... Is there by any chance a way to get back to Lineageos 19 ? My keyboard was working great, and I need it...

Thank you for your work on this. I been noticing hesitation and freezing for 5 to 10 secs with the latest couple builds.

Hello,
I installed LineageOS yesterday on my Samsung galaxy tab s5e (LTE). My only complaint is the sound quality. Enabling "dolby atmos" seems to have no effect, while it had a significant effect in the stock rom.

What is your--
LineageOS version: 20-20230708-NIGHTLY-gts4lv
LineageOS Download url: https://download.lineageos.org/devices/gts4lv/builds
Gapps version: 13.0.0

Did you--
wipe: Yes
restore with titanium backup: No
reboot after having the issue: Yes

Are you using--
a task killer: No
a non-stock kernel: No
other modifications: No

Hm. Lock screen overrides automatic rotation settings and is never in landscape mode. Any way to fix?

Edit: Solved it with the angle settings. Quite unintuitive.

Yes, it is a smaller device, but it is undoubtedly a tablet. And the resolution is the same: 1600x2560 pixels. I assume that the rom developer has made some changes to make the tablet look like a mobile phone. But as written above: I can live with it, I just wanted to mention it in case it could be easily solved.
Thanks for your extremely fast reply!

I have had bootloops happening out of the blue once a month the last couple of months and think they are related to either to the system automatically applying updates or Magisk taking some action without my knowledge.

How do I make sure to disable all OTA related activities? I have already disabled the updater.apk.
There are no automatic system updates.

Has some noisy parts though. Ideally one should get some FLAC proper somewhere but even this showed the shortcoming of sound in LOS... and then there are plenty of switches and knobs... tried some but Samsung was still better.
I promise this has nothing to do with source quality. Unless you're listening to a crummy 128k MP3 then I'd be astonished if you were able to perceive a difference between a FLAC file and a 320k MP3 listening through tiny speakers on a tablet. The speakers are not good enough to begin with to be able to make that kind of distinction.

It's ON by default. Compared it to my phone - also ON and the very same presets. I deem that a stupid idea because once I turned that off the quality really improved (should be opt-in not opt-out):

    - AudioFX OFF
    - Dolby Atmos ON with preset Music

Now it is pretty close to Samsung. Still, I must find some good piece of music so I can evaluate that better.

I'm aware of the AudioFX app that's on by default. It doesn't actually seem to have any effect on my audio either. Toggled on or off makes no difference. I've boosted frequencies by crazy amount to test it and its not working. So, neither AudioFX or Dolby work on my end. Even more strangely, the other morning, as if by magic, the Dolby was working and could be toggled on and off with an audible difference. Then later in that day, it wasn't and hasn't worked since.

Not really meant for jaw dropping 4k ;)

Yes I also found the keyboard disappearing it doesn't happen all the time. I went back to the 9/4 build. Thank you always for your hard work.

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 13, which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project, with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS GitHub organization. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit our Gerrit Code Review.

    Instructions :

    Reporting Bugs
    • DO NOT Report bugs if you're running a custom kernel, or you installed Xposed
    • Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
    • If it is a random reboot, grab /sys/fs/pstore/console-ramoops and /sys/fs/pstore/dmesg-ramoops-0. (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. Please also do not report known issues. Any bug not reported in the bug report format below may be ignored.

Next build will fix BT HID for the following devices: 04e8:{7021,a000,a004,a006,a064}, see: https://review.lineageos.org/c/LineageOS/android_kernel_samsung_sdm670/+/362683

Hello, the same again today. The inbuild updater did not update the LOS recovery to 20230109.
    * yawn * fixed in 20230109+7
