Latest version is awsome no issues. I use it with MindtheGapps is very fast and looks very stable with great battery life. But i have a small problem with opera browser when im multitasking with 3 or more tabs always lags and force close. Any face the same problem? i dont know why. When in using my other rooted devices like tablets or phones everything is ok.

So no issue to connect bluetooth earphones
If they connect using the direct pair method it seems fine , it only seems to be devices that you have to pair through an app, in my case my bike trainer, that are an issue.

My pixel buds took a while to settle for down but seemed stable. Ill try again as I've been fully wiping and installing from scratch over the last 2 builds (I tried some other ROMs as well but all LOS based so also had the problem) and haven't got round to testing devices that didn't cause the issue ootb.

Direct pairing has issues just like app pairing
I wonder what the common factor is as I have tried a cheap and simple pair of earbuds before and had no issues but after you posted I tried an an Xbox controller and the BT turned off during pairing same as with the app stuff
I also re tried my pixel buds and no joy, first time must have been a fluke

@jm1981 as well for info

Will try this weekend and I'll let you know. I never used this tablet with a SIM which is what caused the mismatch on my part while flashing.

Edit1:
Just tried with my work sim (phisical not esim) and calling and network works. It's issued by Vodafone Italy.
Thanks so much for the update! Must just be a US limitation.

I'm trying to install LineageOS.
I followed the previous steps until OS install.
But it fails at sideload with the signature error :
"failed to verify the whole-file signature"
"error 21".

Same error with update from SD Card.
And even redowlnloaded OS image but don't work with 20230116 and 20230123.

Any idea how to solve that ?

I wanted to install LineageOS first then root with Magisk and only after install TWRP, as it is recommanded on TWRP page :
"You are therefore strongly advised to first root your device with Magisk and then pre-root a TWRP image before flashing it to recovery."

Yeah, and you failed flashing recovery, so redo that until you actually are in LineageOS recovery.

oh, it doesn't :(
It means it's the original recovery and LineageOS recovery is not installed...

I'll come back at this step
Odin shows "PASS" for the AP - recovery flash.
But tablet is still showing "Downloading... / Do not turn off target".
In the tutorial, I don't see the status on top left.

I can only see :
Current binary : Custom (0x300)
FRP lock : OFF
OEM lock : OFF (U)
KG Status : checking >> is it the status ??
Warranty void : 0x1
Qualcomm secureboot : Enable
RP SWREV : ...
SECURE DOWNLOAD : Enable
DID : ...

Yes, it's normal, you just have to reboot directly to recovery after flashing it, otherwise if you boot system, it'll reflash stock recovery.

Now, I'm confused trying to install Magisk+TWRP.

For Magisk, it says to patch the AP stock image :
> But when LineageOS is installed, which image should I patch ?

In addition, TWRP indicates to root prior installing TWRP recovery and pre-root a TWRP image :
> I'm not sure to do that after the first Magisk step :(

Use the older method and rename the APK to .zip and flash via ADB in recovery

Hi, I am extremely grateful to you for posting version 20 for my S5e wifi model.
Everything went perfectly, from original rom to custom, including Gapps.

Only problem I experience and unfortunately very annoying, is that when the tablet is turned off and turned on again it automatically did a factory reset and it does that every time.
If you do a reboot it does stay fine.
Does anyone have any ideas?
Have used the following: lineage-20.0-20230123-nightly-gts4lvwifi and MindTheGapps-13.0.0-arm64-20221025_100653.

Hope someone can help me with this.

Hello,

Thanks a lot for your work!

Before flashing it I would like to know if split screen between different apps is supported?

Thanks again

I'm not sure there is one, I think you'll be stuck using recovery to update. If you use TWRP, you can just use an SD card to for your files. If you use Lineage Recovery, you would just use sideload as always.
No, you can also update from SD-card from within LOS. I do it after each LOS update.

Haha, Guess I've been making things harder than they needed to be. I just recently switched to LOS recovery on this device, and I have a couple others that use it, I'm so used to sideloading, I never thought to try the SD card.

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 13, which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project, with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS GitHub organization. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit our Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the changelog for a full list of changes & features.

    Reporting Bugs
    • DO NOT Report bugs if you're running a custom kernel, or you installed Xposed
    • Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
    • If it is a random reboot, grab /sys/fs/pstore/console-ramoops and /sys/fs/pstore/dmesg-ramoops-0. (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. Please also do not report known issues. Any bug not reported in the bug report format below may be ignored.

Hello, the same again today. The inbuild updater did not update the LOS recovery to 20230109.
    * yawn * fixed in 20230109+7

    Hi,
    I have 2 questions for the T720 I just bought :
    - Is the fingerprint reader still working when running LineageOS 20 ?
    - Is it still working if I root the tablet with magisk ?
    yes and yes
    2
Just get the magisk APK rename to .zip and flash via LOS recovery / ADB then install the safetynetfix mod from https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...ynet-fix-2-3-1.4217823/page-132#post-87911093 or wait for the release of official safetynetfix 2.4 that includes the mod changes

this is worth a read as well as safetynet is going away https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/discussion-play-integrity-api.4479337/ and the mod and 2.4 help across both it seems

Damned! Made a mistake! I used recovery and lineageos image for the LTE variant of S5E for my update instead of the WIFI variant. Now I made a factory reset and used the correct recovery and lineageos files for installation and it looks like WIFI is working (at least in the google setup wizzard I have WIFI now). Sorry for posting nonsense!
