Above all thanks very much for your effort. Working wonderfully save for the minor issue mentioned below.

LineageOS version: 20-20230130-NIGHTLY-gts4lvwifi
LineageOS Download url: https://download.lineageos.org/gts4lvwifi originally, system-updater latest
Gapps version: MindTheGapps-13.0.0-arm64-20221025_100653.zip

Did you--
wipe: yes
restore with titanium backup: yes
reboot after having the issue: yes

Are you using--
a task killer: no
a non-stock kernel: no
other modifications: Magisk-v25.2, safetynet-fix-v2.4.0

Provide any additional information (observations/frequency of problem/last version it worked on/etc) as needed: Screen wakes immediately from blank when screen lock=none. Using swipe it works fine. None is better for my use case. Initially flashed dirty from final lineage-19.1. Noticed blank problem, factory reset and reflashed lineage-20. Still had problem, wiped in TWRP ("usually only wipe you'll ever need") and reflashed again. Still had problem. blank was working fine in lineage-19.1. I can live with swipe but it would be nice... Logcat snapshot taken after reboot and after 1st failed blanking (it fades, goes black for a couple of seconds, then screen back on). This can definitely go on the back burner, just making you aware. Thanks again.
Edit: I don't see my logcat attachment coming up, maybe because I haven't posted in years, so it's here. Oh, 'cause it's too big, had to truncate to last 10 seconds before issue. hope that helps: https://termbin.com/ssjzw

Does LOS 20 lower the in-built speaker quality like the LOS 19.1? I mean, when I installed LOS 19.1, it made the speakers sound tinny, so I went back to the stock ROM.

Thumbs up don't do anything.
Also, I still can't reproduce this, my 1708 Xbox One controller pairs just fine.
hmm others have the issue with an xbox controller as to I but the most common option is app based pairing. Does the logcat i supplied not help

though im now wondering if the pairing restore via google one may be causing the issue, ive just had a calsh between googles pir sync/retore and my bose nc700's on my pixel6. Ill reset and not restore and see what happens

You didn't supply any logcat. Also, I'd really much rather work on an issue that I can reproduce than guess why it's happening on your end.

That logcat is useless...did you even look at it? There's not a single line that even remotely mentions Bluetooth.
bugger, i had to cut it down to upload and was in a rush and it looks like i uploaded the wrong one. ill grab it again.

logcat below is attaching my controller, ill do another for the app based pairing tomorrow morning.

From my experience it has been that if a device connects fine with bluetooth, it will connect fine every time, but if a device doesn't connect fine it will back out of the pairing and turn off and on the bluetooth every time.
Example I have a bt kb that will connect fine every time, but neither of my bt mice are able to connect, all 3 were able to connect fine in the last log19.1 version.

Ok factory reset and then wiped system. Rebooted to recovery and installed fresh LOS only install but no help, same issue.
It Seems to me our only course of action would be revert to stock and , if viable, would be to see if Luk1337 is willing and send a device that we know is an issue to see if it can be replicated there end.

Hi LuK1337 and everyone else!

I talked to you on IRC a while back and as then I am impressed and grateful for your work.
Though I wish I had the confidence and experience to develop myself, I have only fiddled with a basic operating system during a course and I never really got deep into Java or C.

I had a bit of an issue after upgrading, I didn't wipe anything, I just installed 20 over 19.1, flashed the right MindtheGapps package, magisk and fdroid privileged.

Now, while I had 19.1 I disabled the PIN screenlock and didn't even enable swipe.
It worked fine.
But then after the 20 upgrade, the device wakes up regularily, like once every minute unless I have explicitly "locked" it with the power button.

It might even have waked up despite that during the day.
Battery usage showed that the display had used a lot more power than sensible.

I tried enabling a "swipe to unlock" lockscreen and it doesn't seem to wake up in the same way.

I was thinking the S5e is a bit sluggish and thought is this because of the schedutil governor. But the performance governor made no real difference.

Other than that all seems well.

I heard the stock firmware makes viewing of HDR videos on youtube possible, but it's not on LineageOS.
I don't mind that, but is that really the case?

I noticed that the S5e isn't as configurable as my Redmi Note 7 (lavender) is.
And the S5e hardware was disappointing, only 2 BIG cores and 6 little.
Interesting configuration, my phone has 4 BIG and 4 little.

Great job! Thanks a bunch!

I'm pretty blown away by how well LOS20 is running. Feels a lot snappier than LOS19. Really great upgrade.

Thanks a ton to LuK1337 for development.

EDIT: Realized you have a donation link and sent a donation your way.

Thanks for the reply, but it doesn't seem to work. Do I relock the bootloader first?
No, Just flash in Odin, remember that you need to check 4 boxes ( AP, BL, CP, CSC )

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 13, which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project, with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS GitHub organization. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit our Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the changelog for a full list of changes & features.

    Reporting Bugs
    • DO NOT Report bugs if you're running a custom kernel, or you installed Xposed
    • Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
    • If it is a random reboot, grab /sys/fs/pstore/console-ramoops and /sys/fs/pstore/dmesg-ramoops-0. (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. Please also do not report known issues. Any bug not reported in the bug report format below may be ignored.

Hello, the same again today. The inbuild updater did not update the LOS recovery to 20230109.
    * yawn * fixed in 20230109+7

    Hi,
    I have 2 questions for the T720 I just bought :
    - Is the fingerprint reader still working when running LineageOS 20 ?
    - Is it still working if I root the tablet with magisk ?
    yes and yes
    2
Just get the magisk APK rename to .zip and flash via LOS recovery / ADB then install the safetynetfix mod from https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...ynet-fix-2-3-1.4217823/page-132#post-87911093 or wait for the release of official safetynetfix 2.4 that includes the mod changes

this is worth a read as well as safetynet is going away https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/discussion-play-integrity-api.4479337/ and the mod and 2.4 help across both it seems

Damned! Made a mistake! I used recovery and lineageos image for the LTE variant of S5E for my update instead of the WIFI variant. Now I made a factory reset and used the correct recovery and lineageos files for installation and it looks like WIFI is working (at least in the google setup wizzard I have WIFI now). Sorry for posting nonsense!
