I updated to the most recent update and now my bluetooth is extremely inconsistent and will randomly keeps forgetting my different devices. I can usually repair the connection, but the last time it forgot my truck I can't get it to repair it. It's like the pair information is still saved somewhere so it won't recognize my truck as a new source available to pair with.

Any tips on how to fix this would be awesome, otherwise I'm going to just wipe the phone and start over

Thank you so much for this rom ,but I found a few problems.
First the auto brightness it doesn't work
and I think the gyroscope it doesn't work too , because I can't use the compass and the map is not accurate.
My device is op7pro based on OOS10.3.8
I wipe data and flash rom in the twrp.
Is the way I flash wrong?
Hope to get your reply.
Check if your persist partition got corrupted , install castro app and test sensors

Wow!!! Finally I installed custom rom on my OP7Pro and I'm very much happy with the decision of choosing Resurrection Remix OS over Havoc OS. This OS has much more customization options than Havoc OS.

I love the status bar weather icon but it seems it's buggy.
1. The weather doesn't detect current location. Location name is Unknown. Check screenshot with weather forecast.
2. Searching any custom location doesn't work. Shows "Can't retrieve location" toast message. Check screenshots.
2. Hourly update is not working. Check screenshot for last update time and current time.

Even manual update is so complicated. You need to change the weather provider to update the weather.
Is it same for everyone?I have added my own OpenWeatherMap API key but no luck.

Thanks.

Not sure what exactly I did as I was still playing around with the combinations. The weather is not updating frequently from MET Norway. But the location continues to remain as unknown.

Also, I noticed that tapping on Last update does the force update 😃👍

Today I tried this ROM for the first time on my OnePlus 7 Pro (GM-1917), and it works great. Good work!

It has a whole lot of configuration features which allow me to not have to use GravityBox at all, in order to get the tweaks that I desire.

However, there is one feature that is offered by an ancient Xposed module called "Untoaster-Xposed" which I want to utilize, and so I have had to install EdXposed to get it working. That module allows the user to enter regexes, and it then blocks all the toast popups whose text matches any of the regexes. This allows me to block selected annoying toasts.

Is there any chance that this feature could be added some day to RR? If so, I then won't need to use EdXposed, at all.

I'm willing to use EdXposed, but I prefer to eliminate it altogether, if at all possible.

So far i love this custom rom on my 7 Pro, but has anyone a solution for the popping up camera on Whatsapp Video calls even if the device is locked and in a pocket? I am a bit worried that it will break sooner or later. On stock OS you needed to press "raise camera" before attending a video call.

For now i declined the camera permission in whatsapp, to make sure the camera remains working

I have been testing the latest version of this ROM on an old OnePlus 7 Pro with a broken screen. Soon, I will want to transfer this RR OS and all my apps to my other, non-broken OnePlus 7 Pro which I normally use. The models of the two phones are the same (GM-1917), and the only hardware difference is that the old phone has 8 Gig of memory, and my normally used phone has 12 Gig.

The normally used phone is currently running the stock OnePlus 7 ROM (OOS 10.3.8).

I am using TWRP on both phones. What I'm thinking of doing is to take a nandroid backup on the old phone, copy it to the other phone, and then use TWRP to restore that backup onto the other phone so that it boots up with the same RR ROM and software that I have been testing on the old phone. I also will have backed up "storage" via "adb pull" from the old phone, and after the OS is transferred, I would then restore it to "storage" on the other phone via "adb push".

First of all, does anyone see a reason for why this might not work?

And secondly, if this could indeed work, which partitions should I back up and restore? Here is the list of available partitions to choose from:
  • Boot
  • System Image
  • Vendor Image
  • Data (excluding storage)
  • Modem
  • EFS
I'm guessing that it should be Boot, System, and Data, but could someone confirm?

And if this backup/restore procedure would not work to properly transfer the system from the old phone to the other phone, what instead would be the recommended way to accomplish this?

Thank you very much in advance.

I used RR on OP3 and that was one of my favorite ROM, but with the new A/B partition the process is more complicated and I bricked my phone yesterday trying to install Havoc following the step by step instructions. If I can avoid this today that would be great, so I have a few questions:

-I'm full stock OOS 10.0.11 on european variant, is it fine to flash the ROM ?

-Nothing is missing in the installation procedure ? I saw on the web people flashing the rom in both slot and twice TWRP and some people not doing it, so I'm confused with all of that.

Any recommandation and reliable tuto would be highly appreciated!

Hi Poolux,

So after i booted up in TWRP i did the following steps and it worked well for me on my Oneplus 7 Pro:
I was on OOS 10.0.10:

my installation process might contain unnecessary steps but i can tell you it worked without any issues. After the first time installing i had some issues with apps in the appstore that were not updating.

1. Press "Wipe" -> "Format Data" --> type "yes"
2. Click home button "Reboot" -> "Recovery"
3. Swipe to allow modifications
4. Transfer the files you want to install
5. Select "Install" and look for the ROM you want to install
6. Select it and "Swipe to flash"
7. When its finished select "Wipe dalvik" and go to the home button
8. Select "Install" and install the TWRP.zip file once again and don't forget to wipe dalvik
9. Return home and select "Reboot" --> "Recovery"
10. Flash the ROM once again and wipe dalvik
11. Flash TWRP once again and wipe dalvik
(12. Install magsik if you want to and wipe dalvik)
13. Select "Reboot" -> "Recovery"
14. Select "Reboot" -> "System"

Cheers and good luck flashing

Thanks a lot for the step by step procedure Reis!
I will it as soon as I get home.
One last thing: did you change the slot from a to b manually after the first flash of the rom?

It worked like a charm, thanks a lot Reis!
I don't get why it's this process isn't on the OP though
Thanks to all the devs who build this ROM!

I have been doing lots of set-up on this ROM, and now, the restart menu doesn't pop up when I press and hold the Power button. I assume I must have selected some sort of setting which controls this behavior, but I can't find what I did or how to change it.

Does anyone know what I need to do in order to get the Power button to once again pop up the restart menu?

Thank you in advance.

Oh! Once I selected "Power Menu on Lockscreen", the restart dialog now shows up when I long-press the Power button, even when I am not on the lock screen. Without that setting, I never get the restart dialog, even when not on the lock screen.

Here's an issue with the current release of this ROM ...

If I select any "Double-Tap" actions for any of the Navigation Bar buttons, Long-Press stops working for all of the Navigation buttons. I have to set "Double-Tap" to "None" for all three Navigation buttons before Long-Press is recognized for any of them.

I am running this latest ROM with Magisk 22.0. It is running well in general, but I have the following issue:

From my desktop: "adb shell"
Then ...
Code:
OnePlus7Pro:/ $ su -
Permission denied

The only executable "su" is "/sbin/su", and it is a symlink to a file with 755 permissions (that file is /sbin/magisk64).

When running apps, root works fine.

Has anyone been able to get root when running "adb shell" in this ROM?

PS: I have "Apps and ADB" set under "Superuser Access" in Magisk.

PPS: If I do "adb root", I get this error:
ADB Root access is disabled by system setting - enable in Settings -> System -> Developer options

However, there is no Developer setting in this ROM for enabling ADB Root access.

I can't find where is located the clock style for always on display. I changed the clock style during the initial RR setup but the clock didn't changed, and now I can't even find the menu in RR settings. Any idea ?

Resurrection Remix the ROM has been based on LineageOS, SlimRoms, Omni and original Remix ROM builds, this creates an awesome
combination of performance, customization, power and the most new features, brought directly to your Device.
