I installed Magisk to get Gpay to work. After just doing a clean install, Gpay sees that the bootloader is unlocked, and complains. Also, I agree about the Audio, the sound is so low, compared to my old daily driver 7 Pro, it's like listening to Youtube from headphones, without the headphones.

What is your--
LineageOS version: 20-202301108-NIGHTLY-guacomole
LineageOS Download url: official github
Gapps version: MinetheGapps

Did you--
wipe: Yes
restore with titanium backup: No
reboot after having the issue: Yes

Are you using--
a task killer: No
a non-stock kernel: No
other modifications: Magisk to use Gpay and hide Root.

Provide any additional information (observations/frequency of problem/last version it worked on/etc) as needed:

The "alert" slider (Oneplus does not call it this, but you know what I'm talking about) does not mute all sound when engaged. It mutes alerts, but not the regular volume. Meaning, If I'm playing a game, I hear the sound from the game, but if I get a text alert, this is silent.

I'm also having issues with using Gboard, where words that come to the end of the sentence show up as being misspelled. If I switch to Swiftkey it works normally. So this would be underlined. This would not be underlined . (space after the word)

Next, I'm having issues with the Nova launcher not compatible with the "go home" gesture. This worked fine on stock. Not sure if this is Android 13 issue or Lineage, but thought I'd mention it.

Alarms did not go off one morning. After rebooting the phone told me I missed alarms. It worked properly the next day.

When taking calls, and holding the phone to your ear, the screen stays on.

Finally, is there a setting that will allow me to see my battery status for Bluetooth connected devices?
Can I request a setting to hide the status bar, all the time?

Otherwise, thank you for an excellent ROM to extend the life of my awesome hardware!
Does anyone else's alert slider work properly, by completely silencing all volume when in DND mode?

Quick question. When I reboot my phone, I see the default Android 13 lock screen with the big vertical time, and my background. When I unlock the device, I never see it again. When I plug my phone in to charge I just see the Always on display time bouncing around the screen. Any idea how to get the default lock screen back after first unlock?

***
Figured it out: Turn off notifications for the Lock Screen.

Well, I was in android 11 (Indian ROM) in my GM1911, then Pixel experience plus 12 official -> PixelOS unofficial -> LineageOS 20. Never installed a kernel nor rooted (installed magisk).
The version I am using is
LineageOS :
Recovery :
Gapps version:

MindTheGapps-13.0.0-arm64-20221025_100653.zip

No additional modification is done to the ROM, planning to flash Dolby without rooting, but not getting the required flashable file (Cant shift to TWRP as A13 is currently not supported for OP7PRO).
Alert slider and alarm issue was there but is now solved after 15/01/23 update.
The issue of Gboard is solved by using in extensively and allowing all three options from the advance settings.
Any kind of launcher will have compatibility issue post A12 due to the gesture implementation, hence the only solution is to use the three button nevigation bar.
There is a magisk module (I can't remember the name currently) to hide the status bar all the time which I wont suggest as it messes with the core ROM and creates issues like frame drop and status bar related glitches
I switched from FlamingoOS version 2.2, Google Pay and banking apps were working fine before I switched, I factory reset everything and flashed the recovery and sideloaded LOS, I sideloaded the same GApps as you and I don't understand how it might work for you but it doesn't for me 😅 did I flash stuff in the wrong order? I never touched magisk or rooting my phone so I don't understand how Google Wallet is failing right now. I did a safety net test and it says that the CTS profile match is failing but signature validation and safety net request passes.

Anyone have any ideas how I can fix this? Is a stock LineageOS 20 meant to work with Google Pay and other banking apps? Should I try completely revert back to stock OxygenOS and then unlock fastboot and do all the steps again? It just sucks cause I spent all day configuring all my apps again, god damn it.

Another question I had for LineageOS is there an option to disable the pill in the gesture navigation? I want to just remove it completely but still use the same gestures.

Well, the easiest solution that you can have is, to ADB sideload magisk and flash the safety net module. (Added advantage is that you can add audio mods too as stock sound of LOS is abysmal).

Thank you to whomever implemented this feature (Bluetooth battery status) on the latest version of Lineage OS 20!

Edit: The battery status disappeared after the phone completely booted up.

I had magisk, it got removed after last update tho and haven't reinstalled it yet

Ok I spammed suspend on the notification bar since the app crashes when I open it, and it started progressing. Will see how it goes

Well, I don't know if it is only me or not, but that full Gapp package of NikGapps (No disrespect intended to developer) did cause update issue in on of my Xiaomi phone running LinegaeOS 19, after that I shifted to :
Gapps version:

MindTheGapps-13.0.0-arm64-20221025_100653.zip

and since then updater had no issue. You can clean reflash the above (OS included) or rather wait for the next update to see if things improved on your device.
Hey guys, there isn't any issue at all. NikGapps full comes with a lot of apps (worth more than 1 Gb), during ota update, the apps are backed up and restored before any progress is shown and sometimes it takes about 12-15 mins to show any progress. You just have to wait for a few mins and let the updater do its job, I've tested literally 10 times and it works perfectly fine.

If you're worried about the progress, you can go to /sdcard/NikGapps folder and read the addonlogs, there you will see progress being made and get the details of the app being backed up/restored.

You don't see the issue with Mindthegaps because of the size difference in the apps being backed up/restored. For that matter if you choose to install NikGapps core, you'd see the progress on updater app in 3-4 mins, may be earlier than that.

Hello XDA,

It's been a long time, but I postponed my upgrade to LineageOS for too long.

I'm still running OOS 10 because I rooted and was satisfied with how everything was working, but now I want to upgrade to LineageOS 20 and do everything right again, perhaps reroot afterwards, now that I have some time.

Question: Can I just follow the instructions on their website, or do I need to update to OOS > 11 > 12 first and THEN install LineageOS 20? I'm kinda worried something goes wrong, as I don't do this so often. What would be the most practical way to do it?

Kind regards,
snsgn

I'm not an expert but i will first upgrade to 11(to be on a safe side),bear in mind that you must unlock bootloader on 11,after that install latest 12 and just follow wiki instructions.good kuck.P.S: oxygen 12 will not allow unlocking bootloader anymore

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 13, which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

    Reporting Bugs
    • DO NOT Report bugs if you're running a custom kernel or you installed Xposed
    • Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
    • If it is a random reboot, grab /sys/fs/pstore/console-ramoops and /sys/fs/pstore/dmesg-ramoops-0. (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
    • If the problem disappears after running "setenforce 0" from a root shell, grab /data/misc/audit/audit.log
Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. Please also do not report known issues. Any bug not reported in the bug report format below may be ignored.

Just thought I'd post feedback in case others are trying to decide on this ROM. All hardware features work perfectly and the bugs that OnePlus left us with on Oxygen OS 12 are gone. Things such as all 3 positions of the alert slider work, battery life is superior with about 10% per hour of screen on and 7% idle drain overnight during 10 hours (all activated Wifi, Bluetooth and cell radio with a smartwatch always connected). No VPN connection issues like on Oxygen OS 12 or ridiculous 15% overnight battery drain, even our triple camera is perfect and photo quality is about 90% of stock. The performance of apps and the ROM is better than stock thanks to Android 13's new ART runtime and the light system footprint (btw I have 8 GB of RAM in my device).

Safety net passes with Magisk and the latest module by Displax, Google Play Device Certification reports as certified and I also have no problems with banking apps or Netflix.

In conclusion, I highly recommend flashing this firmware if you are still dealing with the mess that is Oxygen OS 12 as it is almost like buying a brand new phone and it is really nice to have Android 13 running on a device that launched with 9 (here's hoping for Android 14 and 15 for this great phone).

I did that but I lost root. So I magisk patched the new recovery.img and flashed that. I have root and recovery 20! There has to be an easier way!
Good job getting it all back together 👍

And I'm not really in the know with root so I'm not sure if there is an easier way.

I think I saw some posts in the crDroid thread where a few members were explaining how they keep root between flashes. But I'm not sure. But from what I do know, that is basically what you have to do to keep root (patching the boot img with magisk). Though I don't believe you have to flash a new boot img every time a new build comes out. The dev would know more about that. I also think there is OTA with this ROM? If so I think going that route will keep root as well. You'll want to research some - as I said I'm not in the know with rooting (I don't do it - I have no need for it).

After using the ROM for a week (installed update of 15/01/23), here are my observations: (Non rooted)
    1. The RAM usage of the ROM is little on the higher side, apps do reload frequently.
    2. Audio FX doesn't work for Youtube/games/social media apps, though it works with Spotify. The Dolby solution of other ROMS excels here.
    3. Some minor frame drops in social media apps like Whatsapp.
    4. All banking apps like Gpay, Paypal works absolutely fine. (without root/magisk)
Rest everything is working great (as expected).
