After using for 2 - 3 weeks now.

This is my feedback.

Pros:

  • I can say the ROM is quite fast and battery friendly. I get around 4 Hrs of SOT with all the radios enabled (WiFi, Bluetooth, NFC, Mobile data)
  • The animations are smooth, phone doesn't heat much.
  • Able to use all the Banking, UPI Apps, Screencast, OTT Apps etc (after fixing safetynet ofc)

Cons:

  • Vibration intensity is too high and unable control either. I don't want root just to fix this.
  • Snapchat won't work. Even with the safetynet passing.
  • Sometimes screencast (Miracast) to a Smart TV is choppy, but just reconnecting makes it better.
  • Need to adjust the Brightness very often i.e. it is generally too bright for the environment. So, I need to always lower it down a bit. This is while in Auto Brightness ofc.
  • Widevine L3 :(

I also asked before about the vibration strength setting, but found out the app buzzkill so i can choose now between 3 strength and any custom vibration pattern for any app I want.

The brightness improved a bit for me with the lastest build, but still need some work.

I also had a problem when receiving calls (maybe is related that I use a smartwatch), sometimes the phone just vibrates but the screen doesn't turn on. If I unlock it there is no call but it keeps vibrating and the smartwatch show the call correctly.

The issue you've been having with calls acting weird. I must say that when I flashed mindthegapps wrong, my calls didn't show either. I believe it's an issue with the mindthegapps phone app rather then the OS. I've been using Truecaller now and haven't experienced any issues. (I've had the issue that I can't record phone calls with the mindthegapps app, while it's allowed in LOS settings. With Truecaller I can record, so I think the Phone that comes with either LOS or mindthegapps is a little buggy, but don't quote me on it)

Yeah, I felt that could've related with the LOS Phone and installed the google phone app.
Did some tests and it works fine for now.

I have same question as @killer1850

Already flashed LOS20 on my OP7.. working great, not missing much since my usage is very basic. Only reason I flashed LOS is because the last update (android 12 with december patch) somehow ruined my device's charging. It kept on resetting the charging after 80%, that is phone kept on stopping and starting the charging every few seconds after reaching 80% charging.
Also, battery backup of Android12 (android 11) is very bad, I even got a brand new battery for my OP7.

In this Lineage OS, I cannot add my credit card to any of the UPI app and Gpay is also acting up (payments are often failing, though it could be an account issue).

I have flashed latest magisk (have enabled zygisk + systemless hosts), configured the deny list for ALL google apps and have also flashed "MagiskHide Props Config" and "Universal Safetynet Fix" after reading through many threads on xda.

None of this, helped with adding my credit card to Gpay or Paytm and hence, I can't use tap and pay anymore.

Is there a difference between starting the installation from 12 and from 12.1? If so, where can I find the upgrade from 12 to 12.1?

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 13, which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

    • To pass SafetyNet, you guys can follow this guide. It seems to be working fine.
    Reporting Bugs
    • DO NOT Report bugs if you're running a custom kernel or you installed Xposed
    • Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
    • If it is a random reboot, grab /sys/fs/pstore/console-ramoops and /sys/fs/pstore/dmesg-ramoops-0. (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
    • If the problem disappears after running "setenforce 0" from a root shell, grab /data/misc/audit/audit.log
Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. Please also do not report known issues. Any bug not reported in the bug report format below may be ignored.

    Yes

Can u share the link of the `ihs8n` u flashed or is it the generic version from git? As mentioned by the OP in earlier posts without any changes that he had mentioned..

If changes were made can u please upload the same with that and share.

    Thank you.
I used this file from this topic.
Even thought the file is specifically for hotdogb, it also works for Android 13 guacamoleb (and a lot more devices as said in the topic)
