Recovery

Hi,
Firstly, thanks for RR on this phone, really missed RR on the 6T, glad you have shared this.

Q, In the unpacked payload bin there is a recovery.img, this is not on your flashing instruction list, where in the procedure should it go, first, last or not at all?

This method of flashing a custom rom is new to me, so I ask/search to learn sometimes f*k up but so far have always bounced back.

Again many thanks

I can confirm that autobrightness isn`t working, screen goes lighter and darker all the time when there is light present in the room. I hope this will be fixed easily but same bug appear on Lineage builds. Other little issue, when we use gestures why there are two like 90 degree lines on the bottom of the screen? I know they are present on stock 10 too but they somehow appear nicely on the border of the screen. I know this is little thing but it`s really annoying. Other than that everything is working properly. Very smooth rom. I hope dev can fix these little issues so this rom can be complete. Thanks dev!

Hi I've rooted phones in the past but our phone is a learning experience I really wish we would have TWRP soon but anyway. This is going to be a very noobie question I have never used payload dumper before so when I unpack the file what do I do with it? Does payload dumper extract like WINRAR and we extract the files to the platform tool folder? I'm confused sorry for the inexperience but that's the way you learn. I appreciate any help. Thanks

Ok I did some researching and I found a link with guidelines on the process of using payload. I wasn't sure if I could share it on this thread. But if its allowed let me know and I will post it.

Auto brightness is a device side issue.
I'm coming from an OP3T and honestly the auto brightness sucks on OOS too on the 7T Pro. Do you know where the ambient light sensor is (I'm guessing that's the reason)? I looked it up and the internet told me to try a dialer test code from where I could make the under screen sensor light up so I could see it, but the code didn't work.

Its probably something OP have to patch on the firmware end then

Auto brightness is a device side issue.
All device side issues are 90% times fixes by los.

I really have little experience in this area or I need to brush up on what I have missed.
However I will attempt to fix screen flickering for fingerprint
mate I have no expirience in building roms and stuff but if it helps I can point you to see how omni rom and havoc has fixed this issue becouse they managed it to work as it should. take a look there :)

As far as I remember on omnirom you can set "beggining" point ( % of display brightness) from where autobrightness starts. So when you set 30% to minimum, you get 30% at night without any light.

Auto brightness om OxygenOS works great on 7T Pro. Sometimes it is too dark, but then you can adjust it to a littler lighter and the software will remember it and save your setting.

autobrighness works as it should on oos. works fine on omni and havoc too. works ok in lineage but probably sensor goes wild from something that triggers that. when room is dark brightness go all way down which is ok, problems start to occur when there is little light present and then brightness go up and down all the time which is unplesant to eyes. it's not stable. btw min brightness is nice feature to have and I use it but that doesn't have anything with autobrightness working properly. keep up the good work mate :)

It should be up in a hour or so.
autobrightness seems to be fixed :) keep up the good work mate!
tell me, do you use op7 pro as reference for screen adjustments? I see some stuff maybe perfectionist in me works so sorry :D when we use more than 3 tiles in quick settings and we pull down the quick settings wifi and other icon on the right looks like its cut during animation, like there is no space in qs. probably this is why when using gestures these two lines show at the bottom and go behind the screen. these are little issues and probably last to be fixed, I just wanted to note them so don`t mind please :) keep up the good work!!! :)
