I have applied the ih8sn patch and found that my phone identify as a Oneplus 5T. Is it normal ? Can this be the reason why some app sush as Snapchat and GPay do not work properly ?

In the zip file under /system/etc you have to change ih8sn.conf. After some testing following worked for me:

Code:
BUILD_FINGERPRINT=OnePlus/OnePlus7T_EEA/OnePlus7T:11/RKQ1.201022.002/2110211505:user/release-keys
BUILD_SECURITY_PATCH_DATE=2021-10-01
BUILD_VERSION_RELEASE=11
DEBUGGABLE=0
PRODUCT_NAME=HD1903
@Eric_Lev your conf for hotdogb unfortunately did not work for me.

I'm on 20-20230130-NIGHTLY-hotdogb and wiped all data before flashing the ROM. There is some problems:

The select(on the last application) not working. I tried 1 Edge app's word select on screen too but not seeing anything on screen.

Google Keyboard's copy panel not working but it's not app's fault because there is some copy mistakes and select the word features has some bugs on this build.

The shortcuts has some bug in upper panel like one handed mode's button not taking action but the one handed feature working good with accessibility settings.

Is there any chance to set the flashlight's level?

It's working smooth on my phone thanks good job 🙏

So I did uninstall the ih8sn patch, and reinstalled it with this configuration, but nothing changed. GPay doesn't work, not because it doesn't meet security checks, but because of an unknown issue. Plus, Snapchat doesn't work either and I don't want to try to install Magisk, because I don't want my account to be banned.

So should I switch to another ROM (any recommendation), should I try the microG Lineage version ? I'm open to suggestion.

I don't use gpay, but my phone passes safetynet and every banking app is working without issues.

With snapchat I got the same problem. App works, but I can't login. It tells me, that "to many login attemps or unusual behaviour" occurred. Tried to reset it online, but nothing helps...

If someone else have a solution please share.

Regarding the issue with the brightness: I found a setting under Settings > Display > LiveDisplay. Click on Display mode. Mine was on "automatic". After turning it off the brightness immediately went back to a normal level, I was able to adjust the brightness level without it reverting to 100%, and automatic brightness seems normal too.

Just thought I'd share for anyone else that has this issue. Hope it helps.

I have never used Snapchat but I know someone who had similar issues on an out of the box iphone. So, perhaps it's unrelated and Snapchat specific.

Issue with Phone app, it stays in background when I receive a call. Phone rings but there is no screen/notification where I can pick the call. Can anybody guide me?

If somebody is having problem with google apps not working after installing mind the gapps, kindly check in app setting that app have permission to access internet enabled. It was disabled by default.

Hi all, thanks for the hard work applied here by lineage and the community, I have a 7t 1900 running oos 11, with an open bootloader to root, can I jump directly to this rom? or do I need to update to oos 12 first?

I'm still facing the screen colour flickering issue. Can anyone confirm this? I'll submit a big report about it. My issue is that, when device is idle, even for 20 seconds, the colour of the screen goes from warm to cool and keeps fluctuating. It is only noticeable in night properly.

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 13, which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

Reporting Bugs
  • DO NOT Report bugs if you're running a custom kernel or you installed Xposed
  • Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
  • If it is a random reboot, grab /sys/fs/pstore/console-ramoops and /sys/fs/pstore/dmesg-ramoops-0. (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
  • If the problem disappears after running "setenforce 0" from a root shell, grab /data/misc/audit/audit.log
Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. Please also do not report known issues. Any bug not reported in the bug report format below may be ignored.

Provide any additional information (observations/frequency of problem/last version it worked on/etc) as needed: the display is changing tone every 5 seconds. It is a very small change but can be observed when in low light conditions. The problem persists even after turning off livedisplay. I have attached the logcat.txt

This problem is nearly the same as the quoted message below. The brightness is at 100%. However, the following solution solves the problem only temporarily. Actions and results:
  1. Entered PIN after reboot. Brightness is at max (note that the brightness slider is not at max)
  2. Went to LiveDisplay setting. Since my Display Mode was already on "off", I selected "outdoor", set my brightness slider all the way to max, selected "off", and finally moved the brightness slider down; this reduced the brightness successfully. (Note: I have to bring the brightness slider all the way to the max, otherwise the problem persists even after selecting "off")
  3. Turned screen off (power button)
  4. Turned screen on and logged in with PIN again. Brightness is again back at max despite the slider not being at max.
Also note that this problem existed even before I installed Magisk.

Hey so for whoever may notice this as well, I'm unsure if this works for every rom when it comes to the display issues like the brightness automatically going to max after unlocking phone or even strange coloring stuff that this guy mentioned. But my fix was to remove any passcode, fingerprint unlock, etc. And just do that for a day or 2 (or less idk). And then it seems to fix those specifically weird display issues that happens on every rom. Hopefully this works for you!

    So in the changelog for LOS20 hotdogb, I see something called built-in FM radio. So is it unofficial support for FM radio without a jack?
    Just saying, but changelog isn't 100% aware of what given device uses.

    If you want to keep your Magisk configuration when upgrading from 19.1 to 20, this is how it works:
    1. Download Lineage OS and extract the zip file
    2. Create a patched boot image:
      -> payload-dumper-go -p boot payload.bin
      -> copy boot.img to smartphone, open Magisk, select Magisk install > Select file and patch
      -> copy /sdcard/Downloads/magisk_patched-XXX.img to PC
    3. Follow the official upgrade instructions up to and including step 6 or 7. Do not do any (!) reboot for now!
    4. Select Advanced > Enable ADB
    5. adb reboot bootloader
    6. fastboot flash boot magisk_patched-XXX.img
    7. fastboot reboot

    Does anyone have a problem with SafetyNet? For me it does not pass CTS profile match
    Check this reply, it works like a charm!

    Thanks @mikefnz & @LuK1337
    I tried going from 18 to 20 but it failed (not the fail that can be ignored).
    I think I'll flash 19 and then 20, rather than do a fresh install of 20.
    I would just do a clean install to 20 but see if the boss has any expert advice
    Ok, I tried going directly from 18 to 20 again and it worked flawlessly!!
    I don't know why it failed the first time so I tried again, and it just worked. All my data intact, and on first boot, everything worked exactly as it did before I updated.
