Does anyone else have an issue casting to chromecast with this ROM? Netflix, YouTube, and other streaming apps suffer the same issue. I'm using LineageOS for microG 18.1 20220405 from https://download.lineage.microg.org/obiwan/

I am able to use partially use chromecast with YouTube Vanced only (downgraded to version 16.14.34 and using Vanced microG 0.2.24.220220) - everything works there except volume control

With every other streaming app, I am able to see the chromecast icon, and select a thing to cast to, but then it will never connect

Hello,

First let me start by saying thanks for all of the work you have done on this amazing ROM! I am not sure what you did, but the battery life is stellar (I think you downclocked the mid/small cores and disabled the big?), and everything I expect to work, just... works (TWRP, Flashlight, animations, etc), with a few minor exceptions.
These exceptions are kind of nitpicks, and might be specific to me, but I thought you should be aware of them nevertheless:
1. USB 3.0 on the side port is giving me a "Connection Status: 0x02 (Device failed enumeration)" on a fresh install, while USB 2.0 works just fine

2. The downclocked cores are a bit a problem when using the device for intensive workloads (I do some video rendering, 3d point cloud generation, and light gaming on the device), it would be nice to have the option to increase the clock speed back to stock (maybe by default when plugged in to a sufficient power source?)

3. KVM support would be amazing for WOA and Android VMs (for data-harvesting apps and the like)

4. (This one is really nitpicky) I noticed video comes in green for some reason when video stabilization is turned on in a variety of camera apps (such as: GCam and Opencamera), I cannot find the cause, and it isn't really important to me at all, but I noticed it was weird and thought I should mention it

Again amazing job on the ROM (far less issues then I have had with most of the others for this phone) and I hope you continue to do great work!

Well, uh, that might be a good thing or a bad thing. Let me check...

I have attached screenshots verifying the core clocks.

I haven't even installed a kernel manager up to this point (I have never been able to completely lock the CPU to a specific frequency like this anyway, it always seems like the kernel takes it as more of a suggestion). I had only checked the performance and frequncies of the device with the app 'CPU Throttling Test' and noticed significantly lower numbers.
I don't know how I accomplished this, but I think I might leave it this way since my phone lasts about 4 times as long on a charge with my regular daily use
Thanks for letting me know this wasn't intended functionality though; I'll definitely let you know if I figure out what's going on with this!

BTW, is the USB 3.0 bug a me-specific issue as well, or have you seen it replicated? I am starting to consider a clean flash again

Edit 2: CPU clocks were fixed when I flashed the latest update (May 22, 2022)

If you can't find out how to logcat, you probably shouldn't be flashing ROMs. But it's a free world; do as you please. On this forum it's just important to provide solid feedback in development sections. Saying "it doesn't work" is not constructive. It can still be valuable I guess, depending on how much work the dev is willing to invest into troubleshooting issues. It's a heck of a lot easier to them when logs are provided.

I noticed one issue. When I make a phone call and hold the phone to my ear, the screen does not turn off. This leads to my cheek opening other apps and changing settings.

Is there a setting I can change to fix this? Or is this caused by something else?

I am using this ROM on a daily basic, but... it is a shame that just two flaws turned it from perfect to barely usable:
- The proximity sensor doesn't work. I lost count of how many times I had my calls interrupted or toolbar buttons accidentally clicked during a call.
- Camera stabilization doesn't work and gives a green screen. At least, I found no camera app where it works.

To some degree, stabilization can be performed later using ffmpeg, but this is not the same.

Anybody else experiencing the phone not unlocking and keeping asking for pin number but not unlocking after inserting it ?
It continues a few times unless you reboot or it unlocks sometimes eventually.

Good catch. I was wondering why there were no updates the last few months. Aleasto we had a good run with official support.
