Now that there is a new build, does somebody know the steps to take to update with gapps?

My assumption would be to upgrade such as in first install (without the wipe), but would like to know if there is simpler way with the updater
That's a great question. I'm on vacation and away from my desktop. Would love to update but can't reflash gapps . And don't wanna set device back up as I'm traveling.

well, entered bootloop again and needed to do another factory reset, I suppose i needed to uninstall magisk or something before doing the OTA.

In any case, still not sure about how to update LOS with gapps + magisk :S

I had gapps and magisk installed. Rebooted without reset just didn't have root. Not sure why it didn't work for you.

It seems, VoLTE is not working.
It's enabled in settings, and on mobile operator side, but device switches to 3G while calling. Operator recommend passing USSD code in case of problems, but it also failed.

Works fine here, locked network type to LTE and was able to call, the HD icon also appeared.

Translation for French and grouping of download links.

Installation de LINEAGE FOR MICROG sur ONEPLUS 8/Pro
(c’est idem pour le OP8PRO)
UTILISER UN NAVIGATEUR CHROMIUM (Le navigateur safari
décompresse les zip or IL NOUS FAUT LES ZIP)

4- Télécharger SDK Platform-Tools for Mac puis dézipper le

21- Sur votre smartphone sélectionner recovery, apply update, apply from adb

In case somebody faces the same issue, the following procedure allowed me to update without data loss :)

It's just like the install except don't wipe anything (since official).

- Reboot to recovery.
- Apply Update --> Apply from ADB.
- On a PC --> Sideload the Lineage.zip (adb sideload Lineage.zip)
- If you use Gapps, reboot to recovery (this option is under the advance menu).
- Apply Update --> Apply from ADB
- Once again --> On a PC Sideload Gapps, Magisk, etc.
- Reboot.
- You should be updated no loss of data.

We had a OTA issue with Evolution X and it seems to be related to 128GB versions of the OP8.
So out of interest is your OP8 the 128GB version ?

Thanks for the reply.
There is a Real issue for us 128GB device users as this seems more than just a coincidence in my opinion.
I have tried to flag this issue to the main dev's for the instantnoodle but have so far had no response. Maybe a few more soft bricks is required. :D
Just in case any dev's are actually interested @LuK1337
https://github.com/LineageOS/androi...mmit/61cac1b87ea5aefb357fc8166b599f2ddcf7fac1 These need to be about half for our 128GB devices if I understand correctly.

Hi all,
How is the 90hz managed by lineage ?
I love LOS since forever, and thinking about changing for it.
All is working well ?

Using the official for the OP8 since day 1 and just updated the weekly via OTA. I so far havn't encountered any problems on a NO-GAPPS-setup. 90hz is working fine and so is the rest. Perfectly suitable as a daily driver. Although I can't judge chromecast or android auto, as I never used those.

Thanks for your feedback ! Maybe I will try it soon! Can you tell me also if banking apps and Google pay works ?

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 11, which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

    Instructions :

    Reporting Bugs
    • DO NOT Report bugs if you're running a custom kernel or you installed Xposed
    • Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
    • If it is a random reboot, grab /proc/last_kmsg. (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
    • If the problem disappears after running "setenforce 0" from a root shell, grab /data/misc/audit/audit.log
Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. Please also do not report known issues. Any bug not reported in the bug report format below may be ignored.

For completness: I fixed my issue. It was not due to the recent/last update. I changed more or less in parallel to the last update my data plan to safe money. Apparently that enabled 5G -which I did not have before. It seems that 5G needs a lot of energy. I disabled it in my settings and now everything is back to normal.

    1. Yes, No Face unlock
    2. It's working
    3. Volume sliders works perfectly
My vol slider is perfect and download
I'm loving the official Lineage and all set up without issue.
There are a few niggles I have that make me wanna stick with Oxygen OS for now (until OP fall behind on their updates for the device.
    • No Face Unlock?
    • No working wide-angle camera?
    • Volume slider doesn't work?
So... while I'll be back in the near future. How do I revert back to stock?
Back on OS via MSS tool for now but will be following this thread and development closely :)
Op isn't falling behind on anything ? This is the first build for op8. Perfect fp scanner no need for face unlock at all,as good as stock. My volume slider works like stock build also & download a different cam. We owe these people our thanks, not our complaints.

Here is link to Wichaya. Download and install the apk. These are the gold standard for our devices. Work nicely right out the box.

Search for payload dumper. Can be used in Windows as a standalone program, or making use of Python3 under Linux as well. Doing so, you will be able to extract the boot.img to be patched with Magisk. Very good explanations on howto, here on XDA.
Either this or you flash it directly as a zip, which is what i did
